Chapter 440: Farms - 4

Leo set aside the system notifications for a while and headed to Aurelius Hall.

When he reached the appropriate section within Aurelius Hall, he realized sothing.

"Farming isn’t as profitable as I thought... at least in the initial stages," he muttered, eyes scanning the chart laid out before him.

Wheat Line Progression

1. Ironroot Wheat (Lowest Tier)

Tier: White (Low)

A dark, coarse wheat that grows in poor soil. Produces heavy, dense flour. Bread is hard and filling but not pleasant.

How it is grown:

Direct dry seed sowing, minimal care, survives drought and bad soil

Seed Cost:

100 seeds = 5 Bronze (1.25 AC)

To Produce 1 Quintal:

Land: 200 m²

Seeds: 4000

Food Prices:

1 kg = 50 Copper (0.5 Bronze)

1 Quintal = 50 Bronze

1 Ton = 500 Bronze = 125 AC

Nutritional Value:

High carbs Mineral-heavy Poor protein

2. Roughgrain Wheat (Low Tier)

Tier: White (Mid)

A slightly improved strain with lighter grains and better taste. Still hardy but needs basic farming care.

How it is grown:

Seed sowing in moderately fertile soil Requires seasonal watering

Seed Cost:

100 seeds = 8 Bronze

To Produce 1 Quintal:

Land: 210 m² Seeds: 4200

Food Prices:

1 kg = 70 Copper (~1 Bronze) 1 Quintal = 70 Bronze 1 Ton = 700 Bronze = 175 AC

Nutritional Value:

Better carbs Slight protein increase Easier digestion

3. Silverleaf Wheat (Mid Tier)

Tier: White (High)

Refined wheat with soft grains and good flour quality. Produces proper bread, noodles, and daily als.

.

5. Dawnlight Wheat

Tier: White (Peak)

Bright grains. Highly refined and rare compared to others. Used for high-quality bread and festival foods.

How it is grown:

Selective seeds in premium farmland Requires precise care, timing, and good climate

Seed Cost:

100 seeds = 50 Bronze (12.5 AC)

To Produce 1 Quintal:

Land: 260 m²

Seeds: 3500

Food Prices:

1 kg = 3 Bronze

1 Quintal = 300 Bronze

1 Ton = 3000 Bronze = 750 AC

Nutritional Value:

High-quality carbs protein: Better stamina support. Improves long-term health.

As Leo went through the descriptions, sothing clicked in his mind.

"Lily used to feed Dawnlight Wheat... 3 Bronze per kilo." His eyes narrowed slightly.

That had been far too costly for what they were earning at the ti.

"No wonder my body was in optimal condition when I took over..." Leo murmured.

He had never really known the prices back then. Lily used to buy everything directly from Jas’ restaurant and cook at ho. Not once had she complained about any difficulty.

At the thought, a faint warmth stirred in his chest. He wanted to pull her into a tight embrace and hold her right now. But he pushed the feeling aside and focused again.

Apparently, what he had been looking at were commoner-level crops, distributed to the outskirts to keep citizens fed at lower costs. But Leo had no interest in those now. His situation had improved, and he needed sothing that could generate stable inco.

Not to ntion, the initial seed cost alone exceeded the profit from the first yield. Only from the second cycle—when he reused harvested seeds—would real profit begin.

He quickly browsed through the wheat section and filtered out a promising option.

Astral Sheaf Wheat

Tier: High Green

Translucent-looking outer covering grains with star-like glimrs inside. Rare and difficult to cultivate, it is often grown only in highly controlled farm lands.

How it is grown:

Requires mana-saturated land. More mana = faster growth rate.

Grown under controlled conditions (periodic irrigation, Normal to slightly cold temperatures)

Seed Cost:

100 seeds = 5 Gold = 12,500 AC

To Produce 1 Quintal:

Land: 800 m²

Seeds: 1500

Ti: 4 months - 1 month depending on the ambient mana

Food Prices:

1 kg = 20 Silver

1 Quintal = 20 Gold

1 Ton = 200 Gold = 500,000 AC

Nutritional Value:

- Strong stamina recovery boost

- Enhances mana circulation

- Reduces fatigue drastically

By far, this wheat was the best option for his territory.

For the mana requirent, he could acquire treasure beacons. For temperature control, Leo could have Howl use [Thermal Pulse] during the coming winter. Land was not an issue either.

Since the seeds were expensive, he decided to start small—planting in a limited area to multiply seeds after harvest. Once he had enough, he could expand cultivation significantly.

It would take ti.

Which ant he had to start now.

Without hesitation, he purchased the seeds for his first experint.

3200 seeds for 400,000 AC.

He wanted to buy other crops as well, but the gnos needed ti to adjust to the territory first. For now, this was an investnt toward future returns.

After storing the seeds, he headed toward the teleportation array within Aurelius Hall. An operator lounged lazily nearby, but Leo didn’t need to interact with him. The mont he stepped into the formation, a notification appeared on his phone.

Ting!

>Only one destination detected. Use 100 AC to transport?

100 AC.

A fixed price set by the academy for teleportation to any registered location, regardless of distance.

High enough to make many hesitate. Yet trivial for many others to spend without thought.

But it was charged per individual. For 160 gnos, it had costed 16,000 AC—another expense Leo and others could pay without blinking.

The array beneath his feet was similar to the one in his academy, but far more intricate. The circular chamber spanned roughly 20 ters in diater, segnted into multiple geotric sections. Overlapping all of them was a massive 7-pointed star, its sharp edges extending beyond the encircling boundary.

Its functionality was different too than the one in his territory.

Unlike the array in his territory—which transported multiple people to a single destination—this one handled multiple individuals traveling to entirely different locations at the sa ti.

People walked in, vanished, and others appeared—quiet flashes of displacent happening all around him.

It felt simple. Walk in, go wherever you want.

At least, that was Leo’s impression.

He confird the teleportation.

For a brief mont, it felt like descending in an elevator—a light pull in his stomach that made him feel a mont of weightlessness.

Then—

He appeared in his territory.

The elves were still busy decorating the area around the teleportation platform. Fabric banners swayed lightly, and fresh carvings lined the edges. But now, their work had halted. All of them were focused on a particular spot.

Leo noticed it too.

And just then, his system notifications—ignored until now—flashed back into view.
