On the way.

Du n asked about so news regarding [Order].

When Wei Xun ntioned this place, the frost on his face lted considerably. Building such a massive camp was partly due to his contributions, and as the na suggests, the place had strict order and impeccable security. Even those fleshless skeletons would hunt bugs, so even ordinary people had a chance to taste the delicious insect at.

Du n had doubts about this.

The human heart is the hardest thing to control.

Even though he was a professional, he couldn’t make everyone in the outpost conform to his ideology. In the outpost, small frictions frequently occurred, won were bullied, the weak had their food taken, and even not long ago, a child was assaulted to death.

Such a thing happening in the outpost naturally made Du n furious, and he stated that he would thoroughly investigate the matter.

But...

The number of people in the outpost was too many, making it impossible to investigate, and due to prolonged distress, the survivors’ nerves beca extrely taut. If his actions were overly aggressive, it could very likely trigger a riot.

Du n needed those survivors to fight for him, so he could have more ti to research mutant plants. Therefore, although these atrocities occurred frequently, he could only choose to turn a blind eye.

It was precisely because of this that Du n realized that the notion of law and order, although seemingly simple, was nearly impossible to achieve in this apocalypse.

A settlent of a few hundred people was already like this, let alone a larger force of thousands.

With such perplexed thoughts, Du n walked into [Order].

.........

[Order]

The group walked into the enclosure, with a constant flow of people moving about before their eyes.

The three people curiously looked around. The first impression of this place was not one of decay and desolation, like their base, where most people were in despair and had long since lost hope for the future. But here, the survivors were rather neat and clean; there was not even trash on the ground, and no one relieved themselves anywhere.

From ti to ti, patrol squads passed by, holding weapons, with serious expressions, diligently performing their duties.

The most shocking was the surrounding crowd...

Everyone appeared very busy, either transporting supplies, repairing buildings, or burying seeds in open land. Compared to those survivors outside, who were shrouded in fear, their faces here had a touch of hope and ease.

More importantly, everyone’s clothes were very clean, and even so won’s hair was neatly grood without a strand out of place.

This implied that everyone had at least two sets of clothes, if not more.

All the resources around bore the na Chen.

Chen Feng ordered the raiding of three large shopping malls, taking all the clothes inside and distributing them to the survivors’ hands.

Chen Feng disliked dirt and chaos, and he even had a slight obsession with cleanliness.

At this mont!

A commotion suddenly ca from ahead, followed by a horrifying scream mixed with a stench wafting over.

Du n was the first to react, the vines under his feet began to grow wildly, and within seconds, these vines enclosed around him, offering protection.

"Hiss..."

The hoarse hiss echoed in everyone’s ears.

In people’s sight, a blood-soaked figure appeared.

Giant Strength Grasshopper.

This bright green grasshopper was a ter tall, its mandibles resembled scythes, capable of slicing a person in half with a gentle snap.

But now...

An iron rod had impaled it through from head to tail, and its wings were already shattered.

At this mont, it still used its powerful legs to grip the earth, pulling its body up inch by inch! Green blood flowed from its mouth and tail, staining the ground green. As it endured imnse pain, it strived desperately to free itself from the iron rod. Just two inches, one inch more... Finally, at the mont it was about to break free...

A few young n suddenly ran up from behind, appearing to be in their early twenties, with sharp blades in their hands. As they reached the Giant Strength Grasshopper, they swung their blades at its head.

"Pssh!"

"Pssh!"

The Giant Strength Grasshopper’s head was smashed, its vitality gone forever. anwhile, the young n muttered complaints, seemingly blaming the iron rod for not being driven deep enough, allowing the grasshopper to escape.

From start to finish, they showed no fear, from chasing to slaying, resembling butchers.

Inspectors ran over from afar, their faces stern, reprimanding the young n, telling them to quickly drag the Giant Strength Grasshopper away.

After a while, so n and won ca with mops and buckets to clean the bloodstains on the roadside. Within monts, the ground was restored to cleanliness, without any trace of the recent slaughter.

At no point did the surrounding crowd exhibit any screams or panic; it seed like they were accustod to such events.

A bit further ahead, dozens of insect carcasses were placed along the roadside, their flesh already extracted, leaving only the hollow shells on display.

Military rit badges.

These were symbols of [Order]’s bravery.

Giant Strength Grasshopper, Red-legged Centipede, Red-headed Beetle, Two-headed Spider, and in the center, even a smashed skeleton, its upper body resembling an infant, but with a deford and twisted lower body, more like an insect.

It was completely dead.

Yet, its aura still felt oppressive. From a distance, Du n glanced at it with a sudden sense of suffocation, as if the monster could revive at any mont, sending chills down his spine.

Wei Xun was not wrong.

Insects were indeed a food source here.

These remnants were the best evidence. Outside, they were fearso and nacing, bullying humans into hiding, but here, the roles were completely reversed.

They beca the vulnerable group, their flesh excavated, their bodies displayed for all to see.

Chen Feng.

Du n had heard this na many tis before.

With a beastly aura, accompanied by Wei Xun of the Skeleton Legion, his face constantly shrouded in gloom, his expression only softened slightly when ntioning Chen Feng, openly showing admiration.

An individual who established [Order] in the apocalypse and subdued even a fearso figure like Wei Xun — who exactly was he?

At this ti...

Du n’s curiosity was intensely piqued. He wanted to see how the other achieved all of this!
