Now reading: Chapter 225 220: Dark Forest from Abyss Summoner, a Sci-fi novel by The heart has not yet warmed..

Chen Feng's words were obviously too extre and exaggerated, but he deliberately spoke this way to deliver a heavy blow to Xu Hongzhuang.

To plunge her into deep self-bla, making her question her values in a short ti.

The post-apocalyptic world is like a dark forest, where everyone is a gun-toting hunter, moving like ghosts among the trees, gently brushing aside the branches that block their way, trying their best not to make the slightest sound with their steps, even their breathing is cautious. Everyone must be careful, because the forest is full of hunters lurking like themselves.

If you discover anything that threatens your life, whether it's a hunter or not, whether it's an angel or a devil, whether it's a tender infant or a staggering elder, whether it's a celestial maiden or a god-like young man, there's only one thing to do: eliminate it.

In this forest, the enemy is hell, an eternal threat, and any enemy that poses even the slightest threat to you should be directly annihilated.

Lawful Evil.

This is Chen Feng's principle of life.

He wouldn't be judgntal like a jury or chaotic and bloodthirsty like a demon; he is himself, building all interests centered on himself.

To destroy soone, you must first drive them mad.

Xu Hongzhuang is a promising talent, so Chen Feng doesn't mind spending so extra ti to play a ga with this strong yet pure girl.

As a professional and possessing a hero template, Xu Hongzhuang is also a mber of the dark forest. However, she's just a rookie with no hunter's awareness and skills, only strength.

But Chen Feng is different; he has wandered in this dark forest for countless years, evolving from a weak novice to a veteran hunter skilled in using all weapons and equipnt, pouring heart and soul into it, which perhaps only he understands.

Soon after eting Xu Hongzhuang, Chen Feng used ntal hypnosis to leave a deep mark in her heart, like carving a knife mark on a sapling that grows into a scar over ti.

Chen Feng belongs to the dark faction, doing everything for himself.

But Xu Hongzhuang is different; she has righteousness in her heart, founded on the belief of eliminating monsters and protecting people, almost like black and white, completely separate individuals.

What Chen Feng wants to do now is destroy her belief, dragging her from a heaven filled with holy light to a decaying hell. Compared to angels, Chen Feng prefers being a reckless devil.

Xu Hongzhuang is so stubborn and persistent; if one day they really have a disagreent, who can guarantee she won't suddenly strike at him?

Let her gradually fall until she becos part of the sa faction; that's Chen Feng's ultimate goal.

Changing Xu Hongzhuang's faction.

It's like asking a cat to remain celibate with a dancing goddess, asking Rose to stop plotting, asking the Blazing Demon to stop killing, equally unbelievable.

But the more it's like this...

The more satisfying it is, isn't it?

On the other side, Xu Hongzhuang's pupils shrank violently, shaking her head in disbelief, her mind in chaos, cold sweat instantly covering her spine; anyone could see how panicked she was at this mont.

Previously, it was just pure killing intent, without much thought, since Chen Feng was simply a nightmare, tornting her for ages.

If possible, she wants to end this nightmare.

Her recent actions were like so Martial Arts Masters who, to pursue pure martial arts, undergo self-castration to shed their emotional desires and focus entirely on martial arts, thus achieving greater progress.

For Xu Hongzhuang, Chen Feng is the giant beast obstructing her faith; either she completely obeys or kills him, otherwise, she may be stuck forever at the Silver Peak, unable to reach the Golden Tier.

The professional ranks beco harder to ascend in the later stages, like the Golden Tier, requiring not only talent and resources but also a state of mind.

Chen Feng glanced at Xu Hongzhuang, knowing the ti was ripe; continuing might alert her, which wouldn't be worthwhile. He stepped forward and said, "Let's pretend the past never happened, alright?"

"Really..."

Xu Hongzhuang's face flushed, her breathing was chaotic; as she was unsure how to respond, Chen Feng's words surprised her greatly.

"But, can you help ?" Chen Feng smiled at her.

Xu Hongzhuang hesitated, unsure of the aning behind Chen Feng's words, but given his previous behavior, he didn't seem like soone who would easily let her go.

"This is the post-apocalypse, surrounded by creatures that eat humans without leaving bones, whether order or Bridge East, we face a common enemy: those bugs and beasts. I can pretend we never t, but there's a small condition." Chen Feng whispered softly in Xu Hongzhuang's ear.

The warmth in his voice made Xu Hongzhuang's ears itch; she wanted to evade, but Chen Feng's words were like a spider web, tightly binding her, leaving her no room to escape.

Joining forces against enemies or dealing with past matters is a top priority weighing on her mind.

"What condition?" Xu Hongzhuang steadied her tumultuous heart, her voice clear and strong.

"I want to place so of my people in the Iron Demon Army; if you don't say, and I don't say, no one will know their true identity." Chen Feng said lightly, "The past is the past; from this day on, I won't ntion it again. But you need to make further progress; not just in the Iron Demon Army, but also infiltrating other departnts of the main battle faction, placing your trusted aides there."

Xu Hongzhuang fell silent.

She wasn't foolish; she certainly understood his intentions, arranging his people into the Iron Demon Army and wanting her to infiltrate other departnts; it was simply plotting.

She doesn't want to live in the shadows, nor does she want to act against her conscience.

"Colonel Feng has been kind to , I... I won't do anything to betray him..." Xu Hongzhuang said, her face firm and her voice heavy.

Chen Feng smiled and leaned his head completely on Xu Hongzhuang's shoulder, like a devil erging from a seal, speaking in a bewitching voice, "I won't harm Feng Zhiyong, nor do I want to; I only have one goal: to support you in becoming the queen of the entire Bridge East..."
