Chen Feng unfurled his wings. The ice mountain was too enormous to climb just by walking, but that didn’t trouble him. As a purebred Fla Demon, from the mont of his transformation, he possessed the ability to fly.
The closer he got to this ice mountain, the more terrifying the cold he endured. It was a formidable ability, akin to a small barrier, with the temperature dropping layer by layer. By the ti it reached the core area, the inside temperature had already plumted to around -50 degrees.
This was a truly frightening number.
Without heating equipnt, no matter how warmly dressed, it wouldn’t take long to turn into a popsicle.
Although not yet encountered, this was an adversary not to be underestimated. Being able to display such a barrier-like technique, its power had at least broken through to the Silver Tier.
No wonder, Wu Junwen and his team’s ship sank in an instant. In the face of such an ability, a ship made of steel is nothing.
A faint orange-red hue appeared on Chen Feng’s body. The ambient temperature was too low, so to protect himself, he used heatwaves to dispel the cold.
This caused the ice and snow he approached to begin lting, with the ground turning into droplets, as if scorched by a blazing sun.
Although doing so made it easy to be discovered, it was a necessary action. Without relying on fla, the cold would affect Chen Feng’s performance to so extent.
After walking for just a short while, so sounds ca from ahead.
Chen Feng rounded a rocky outcrop to find a steep cliff before him, about eight ters high, with so creatures gathered atop. From their appearance, they resembled giant birds.
These giant birds were about two and a half ters tall. They possessed enormous beaks, and their atrophied wings could not be used for flying but had evolved a pair of claws to seize prey. These sharp talons could easily shred their prey.
At this mont, these giant birds road aimlessly across the ice and snow, occasionally glancing around, much like a group of loyal guardians patrolling their sovereign’s land.
Even more terrifying was that these giant birds did not have common feathers. Instead, they were covered in pieces resembling polished mirrors.
Dragon scales!
These giant birds were actually a sub-dragon species.
True dragon species possess strong bodies, long and thick necks, horned or frilled heads, sharp teeth, and long tails. They walk on four powerful legs and fly with giant bat-like wings, their bodies covered in scales for protection. Their eyes have four eyelids, with three inner transparent layers to shield against harm, and ears that can open and close, though not all dragons have external ears. Their teeth are sharp and usually curve inward to tear prey.
Offspring from the Dragon Race interbreeding with other species without dragon breath yet exhibiting dragon characteristics are considered sub-dragon beasts. Their talents sotis surpass those of the Dragon Race, with so endowed with imnse defense, so extrely fast, and others exceptionally powerful.
The private lives of dragon species have long been a flaw, as they seem perpetually in heat, viewing any creature as a tool for release.
In certain environnts, powerful dragons might even force their will on weaker Giant Dragons, or more often, they use their dominance to coerce other beasts or birds. Intimidated by dragon might, these victims would have no room to resist and could only submit to their abuse.
The Dragon Race’s bloodline is imnsely strong. Any creature that breeds with them and successfully produces offspring will carry so symbols of the Giant Dragon.
Here, there are actually so sub-dragon species, and it is clear the other side wields the power of ice and snow. How to interpret this? Could it be that these creatures are all illegitimate offspring of the so-called White Dragon?
Chen Feng’s gaze took on a playful glint.
One, two, as many as six bizarre giant birds, the weakest already Bronze Tier creatures, and among them, several had reached Silver Tier strength.
The strength of these giant birds was far from being as dull as it seed. Their ability to stealth in special environnts might not even be enough to slip past them. As guardians of the White Dragon, they were full of aggression. Upon seeing Chen Feng, the giant birds roared, and the sound resembled a kind of language, as if warning him to leave imdiately.
The sub-dragon creatures lacked great intelligence, and after discovering Chen Feng’s lack of action, a giant bird charged directly, its legs pounding the ground with a thumping sound.
The battle happened in an instant. Although they did not possess the sa formidable power as their forebears, they were no less fierce. Due to their hybrid nature, their intelligence was sowhat hindered, and in so situations, they rarely deduced the enemy’s strength.
This might be the reason they dared to suddenly attack Chen Feng.
The dragon-like attack was fierce.
Though it appeared to be a bird, its explosive power could not be ignored. As it drew nearer, with its mouth wide open, an astonishing scene unfolded: the enormous mouth was filled with sharp teeth, and an intensely cold frost spewed forth. This was not Dragon Breath, but it carried the power of frost.
It looked like a bird, but neither its attacking speed nor its gaping maw could be considered unlike a beast. Swift, precise, and ruthless, upon spotting an enemy, it issued a re warning before unleashing a terrifying assault, taking less than three seconds in between.
If an opponent of the sa tier encountered this, they might be flustered by such rapid actions, with so even turning to flee. Yet, considering the giant bird’s speed, turning away would only lead to a dead end.
Chen Feng stood still. In the eyes of the giant bird, he was undoubtedly a scared and foolish live target. As it got closer, with only a few ters separating them, the giant bird even thought that with one exertion, the other side would beco a corpse. But in the next second, a crisp tearing sound rang out.
The giant bird’s body split in two, falling directly to the ground.
A cold chill swept through, and in the instant blood splattered, the surroundings transford into a crimson blood mist. A bit of it managed to splatter onto the corner of Chen Feng’s mouth.
Chen Feng extended his tongue, licking so of it. It was very bitter, far from as sweet as real giant dragon blood.
As a Golden Tier fighter facing a Bronze Tier creature’s charge, this was never a contest. The giant bird didn’t even get a chance to stop its motion. With the appearance of a fiery longsword, its consciousness turned to chaos, and in an instant, it was slashed in half.
Chen Feng stepped forward. He had no interest in tangling with these sub-species, as it would delay his search for the White Dragon.
A mont later.
The ground was covered in gore.
When Chen Feng pierced a Silver Giant Bird with his fla blade, its wings were nailed to the ground. It emitted cries that were sowhat mournful.
Louder than expected, even Chen Feng found it sowhat piercing.
The White Dragon was nowhere to be found here. Rather than waiting for it to return, it was better to lure it out, and now this giant bird had undoubtedly beco a baiting earthworm.
A skillful angler uses a curved hook to pierce an earthworm while ensuring it doesn’t die imdiately. The wriggling motion on the water’s surface draws the attention of fish.
This giant bird was the strongest. Compared to its companions, it could endure more torture without dying too quickly on the ground.
Chen Feng used his sword to sever one of its feet and a wing. The bird’s cries grew more rapid and painful as it crawled miserably in a pool of blood, driven by a last flicker of survival instinct.
From start to finish, Chen Feng remained immaculately clean. His imnse power ensuring that not a drop of blood touched him, while the monsters t their end.
Leaving the bird to crawl on the ground, he allowed its cries to continue for a while until its blood ran dry. In the anti, Chen Feng needed to explore the surroundings to discover any new findings.
Passing through the area where the giant birds circled, Chen Feng delved deeper. A massive cave caught his attention; monts ago, the giant birds had circled it intentionally or unintentionally, like guardians.
Stepping onto the ice and snow, Chen Feng then entered the dragon nest. Even though he was prepared, the sight was sowhat overwhelming.
Gold!
Before his eyes lay a vast expanse of treasures, mostly shimring gold. Besides gold, there were fist-sized gemstones, the largest one as big as a millstone.
This was not wealth gathered from this world.
A ruby exuded seductive brilliance. If such a large gemstone appeared in the human world, it would incite a global dia storm.
The human world lacked treasure so astonishing, suggesting these were likely taken along by the White Dragon when it crossed dinsions into this strange world.
Having experienced much, Chen Feng found himself surprisingly calm upon seeing such a mountain of gold.
Compared to these useless gems, he was hoping to find so excellent weapons, but clearly, that plan was to no avail. Looking around, there was nothing like the imagined armory.
"Wait... what is that?"
As Chen Feng searched, he suddenly noticed sothing in the corner of the treasure pile, an oval object. Taking a step forward, he grasped it in his hand.
It weighed about ten pounds, and touching it was like touching ice, a chilling cold that quickly enveloped him. Even more startling, this was not a lifeless object; Chen Feng was absolutely sure he could feel a life force within it.
It was not the aura of a sub-dragon beast like the giant bird, but an inherent oppressive presence, sothing that was...
Chen Feng turned it over, then placed it by his ear, lightly tapped it, and there was even a response, a faint sound coming through the eggshell.
The mystery was solved.
The object Chen Feng had discovered was actually a dragon egg imbued with life?!
