Flora lay wearily on the edge of the bed.
Her shoulder was bare, her face flushed unnaturally. She hadn’t visited the Human World for a while. Unlike the Inferior Demon who was a hands-off manager, Flora had matters to attend to in the Abyss.
After defeating the Mind-Reading Demon, she rightfully beca the Demon Lord of that realm. Her task now was to recruit demons vigorously and build a powerful army.
A mber of the Cat Race becoming a Demon Lord?
In the long history, this was sothing that had never happened before.
Nowadays, Flora had an inexplicable aura, especially between her brows, where a faint golden glimr occasionally flashed. It was evident that she had once again received so sort of blessing from the Dance Goddess.
The treatnt between a Master of Fist and a Demon Lord was imnsely different. The forr was rely a powerful loner, while the latter was a leader commanding an entire region.
As an Evil God, the Dance Goddess had several Demon Lords under her command, but having a mber of her own race serve as a Demon Lord without her intervention was unprecedented.
This garnered the Dance Goddess’s attention. It could be said that, like the Dark Elf, Flora has now beco the Dance Goddess’s favorite alongside the cats.
Compared to ordinary Chaotic Demons, after spending ti with Chen Feng, Flora had evidently learned the unique way humans conduct themselves.
Wisdom.
This is a very critical point.
Don’t even think about planting. The fact is, most of the land in the Abyss is acidic soil compounded by harsh environnts. Except for so plants that have grown for countless years, vegetation from the Human World could not survive there at all.
However, even demons fret over food. So Demon Lords recruit an elite team, but 80% of their numbers consist of Timid Demons, what does this an? Besides serving as cannon fodder on the battlefield, they are walking military rations.
High-tier Demons devouring low-tier demons is a very common form of combat.
Not just high-tier Demons; even Timid Demons fight each other over food, with the losers becoming the victors’ als.
This leads to most low-tier demons in the Demon Legion being in a state of injury, and apart from a few caused by bloody battles, most reasons stem from internal strife.
Humans.
Compared to the Abyss, they are undoubtedly synonymous with weakness, yet undeniably, their level of expertise in food production is terrifying.
Whether in ancient tis or the modern era, the concept of "food is fundantal to the people" is ingrained in human nature.
To beco strong, food is indispensable. This is why Chen Feng’s next plan involves constructing a large granary near Flora’s jurisdiction. While it won’t feed all the demons, it will play a crucial role in critical monts.
Flora lazily leaned forward, nestling into Chen Feng’s embrace. Unlike her previous reserved deanor, after spending ti together, Flora had long grown accustod to their intimate gestures.
Leaning against Chen Feng’s shoulder, Flora spoke softly: "Master, the matters you instructed are ready. We’ve recruited enough demons, and we’ve also leveraged our influence to make several nearby High-tier Demons bow in submission. In the short term, six High-tier Demons have expressed that as long as they aren’t attacked, they’ll co to the rescue when needed."
Chen Feng is a villain.
What is a villain? Soone who stops at nothing to achieve their goals.
These High-tier Demons are not without power, but under Flora’s control, they are entirely incapable of resistance. Other than pledging allegiance, they have no other choice.
Either they pledge allegiance, or they beco stepping stones for other demons.
Though demons are chaotic and insane, it doesn’t an they are fools. In such circumstances, their capitulation happened much faster than Flora expected.
After hearing this entire report, Chen Feng nodded lightly and said: "Good, have the slaves mine more ores. I have great use for them!"
You there.
How are the slaves I need? Prepared?
Flora’s expression appeared sowhat relaxed as she responded: "Currently, we’ve gathered a portion. I’ve ordered subordinates to liberate those goblins and ogres. It won’t be long before the master’s command is fulfilled!"
Slaves.
A critical component of Chen Feng’s plan.
He decided to develop in the Abyss, and these incredibly cheap laborers were nearly indispensable.
Flora’s speed was faster than he had anticipated.
Chen Feng gazed approvingly at her; her rank now was second only to his. Naturally, she wasn’t content to be overshadowed by others, so she kept pushing forward relentlessly.
Chen Feng frowned, pondered for a mont, then said: "Ogres are known for their robust limbs and simple brains; having them mine poses significant risks. If possible, continue capturing more goblins and Kobolds."
He paused and continued: "Just under the na of Demon Lord, no need for combat abilities. As long as it’s adult labor, it’ll suffice."
Adult labor?
Flora nodded. To the demons, she’s a terrifying Lord, even defeating the Mind-Reading Demon.
But in front of Chen Feng, she’s forever just a stubborn young girl.
Chen Feng’s gaze turned sowhat dazed.
Exploring the Abyss.
It’s dangerous.
There weren’t no previous attempts, but the demons in the Abyss are extrely xenophobic. Coupled with harsh living conditions and various dangerous creatures, most explorers eventually failed.
Because surviving in the Abyss is so difficult, population migration poses a massive problem, with disease, monsters, and enemies capable of defeating even professionals, let alone ordinary people who find survival even harder there. Without strength as a foundation, exploring the Abyss is almost out of the question.
Yet now, with ti on the side, Chen Feng has already set up one scenario after another in the Abyss. Inferior Demons, Flora, Dark Elves, and even the Undead Mage are all participants. These creatures, according to original settings, should never have crossed paths, yet under Chen Feng’s summons, they’ve been peculiarly connected.
Just like the Inferior Demon, once Chen Feng’s command was given, it rushed to join Flora at the fastest speed. Regardless of any usual hostility, upon hearing Chen Feng’s order, it attacked without any hesitation.
Resources.
Regarding these external entities, Chen Feng showed no reluctance. His intent was to provide Flora with more support, thereby gaining control over more demons and dark creatures.
Increasing the number of slaves was, of course, for labor purposes.
Mining.
There’s hardly anything more lucrative overnight than this.
