The ghoul appears fierce, but surprisingly weak in defense. Its bloodthirstiness in a state of hunger only affects the weak; when confronting the strong, a reckless charge only hastens its death.
So ghouls began to waver because they discovered that sothing was amiss—the enemy’s strength far exceeded theirs. Especially the Mourner standing before them; neither claws nor teeth could break through its defenses.
Brutal.
Fear no longer belonged to the human camp; it had spread to the ghouls. So timid ghouls ceased their attack, stopping to look around.
Ghouls are not entirely without intelligence; they possess a certain level of self-awareness, enjoying bullying the weak. Similarly, when encountering stronger foes, they will choose to flee.
The morale of the ghouls finally collapsed.
One ghoul turned around, attempting to leave, but as soon as it took a step, it was pinned to the ground by an arrow, struggling only briefly before expiring.
Chen Feng did not plan to leave survivors.
Camp slaughter.
He needed blood to solidify his prestige.
"Bang!"
By the ti the Mourner crushed the last ghoul, its body was already covered in blood plasma, with strips of flesh hanging from its face. Yet clearly, it hadn’t had enough—the Undead Creatures are tireless, and for them, blood and flesh are the best sources of power; nothing excites them more than slaughter.
Every creature has its own path to advancent.
If Inferior Demons advance through devouring, and Dark Elves rely on sacrifice, the Mourner advances through pure slaughter. Blood and tornt grant it the strength to ascend.
The Mourner turned around, its crimson eyes fixating on Wei Xun and the others. The undisguised killing intent made everyone feel as if they had fallen into icy water, even breathing beca a luxury.
"Bang!"
Chen Feng snapped his fingers, and the Mourner and Dark Elf vanished from where they stood, only then did everyone regain their senses and begin to breathe heavily.
What had just happened felt like a dream.
However, the corpses lying on the ground clearly inford them that the scene they witnessed truly occurred.
Dozens of people looked at Chen Feng, calm and unhurried, their expressions transford.
Admiration, worship, shock, fanaticism, along with so complex emotions...
People near the sea worship the Sea God because the waves can take lives; herders tending cattle and sheep serve the sun, as sunlight signifies the prosperity and decline of pasture; moreover, gamblers, thugs, even prostitutes have their own beliefs to worship.
Faith stems from fear.
These people believe that by offering loyalty to the Divine Spirit, it will bestow blessings to save them in tis of need.
Just like now, their gazes fiery as flas, as if looking at a deity descended to earth, feeling only a blinding light emanating from Chen Feng.
To these people, the ghouls were vicious and terrifying, utterly undefeatable foes, but to Chen Feng, they were like chickens and ducks awaiting slaughter, with no resistance, dying beneath his feet.
Is this his power?
The survivors collectively gasped.
Chen Feng turned around, scanning these people, and spoke, "What are you standing around for? Hurry up and transport the supplies!"
"Yes!"
Everyone jolted awake, quickly responding, compared to their earlier cautious deanor, now though still fearful, their expressions were much more energized.
When following such a brutal presence, what else is there to fear? Just like those ghouls here, even if they eat people, so what? Didn’t they end up lying on the ground, silent?
The extermination of the ghouls granted Chen Feng imnse prestige, under such circumstances, no one would defy his orders.
Wei Xun was right; the ghouls from the freight station seed to have co out en masse, allowing Chen Feng to seize them in one fell swoop, making the transport work very smooth. In just over an hour, everyone was loaded with supplies, not only that, so people even found transport tools. Just this one transportation was enough to sustain the people in the air-raid shelter for over a month.
Due to the supplies, the return trip was slightly slower. When the sun was about to set, the group arrived near the air-raid shelter.
Chen Feng was originally leisurely, but when he looked up, his expression suddenly changed.
"Soone’s been here!" he shouted lowly.
A row of footprints ca from the north, disappearing at the entrance of the air-raid shelter.
"Inferior Demon!" Chen Feng called out, intending to find so answers in it, as the footprints disappeared at the entrance, presumably those people had been devoured by the Inferior Demon.
Wei Xun was puzzled, wondering why Chen Feng suddenly stopped, but the next second, a little head appeared at the shelter entrance.
"Child?" he muttered.
There shouldn’t be any children in the shelter, could she be from nearby? It’s so dangerous outside and she still hasn’t been taken by monsters, considered lucky enough.
But... her looks are quite endearing.
Wei Xun raised an eyebrow, finding it incredible to encounter a child outside, planning to inquire about her. But the next mont, he opened his mouth, as if witnessing so inconceivable scene, and sat down heavily.
Even at the sight of the Mourner, he had not lost composure like this!
The main reason is the overwhelming impact of the scene—before him was an adorable little girl, but as she crawled out from the shelter, she turned into a mass of huge mud, not only that, countless human arms emanated from her body.
Loli head, mud body, dead n’s hands.
Wei Xun felt on the verge of fainting, his head becoming hazy.
How could there be such a terrifying existence in this world?!
Suddenly, the monster noticed their group, a joyful smile appearing on its pretty face, crawling towards them.
Wei Xun’s mind went blank, his body wanting to retreat but blocked by the terrified crowd, leaving him no choice but to watch the monster approach!
Getting closer!
"Master..."
As it neared, the monster suddenly spoke to Chen Feng, but why was the voice so shrill, as if a boy had not yet changed his voice.
Wei Xun’s trembling body froze, as if caught by sothing, his gaze fixating on Chen Feng’s face—Master, was the monster calling the adult?
"Hug..." the monster spoke again, its voice transforming into a sowhat frivolous man’s voice.
"Mouse?" Wei Xun’s eyes widened, his strength seed to vanish rapidly, he knew for sure—the voice from the monster, was that of an acquaintance!
Chen Feng stood at the side, his expression grim, a trace of doubt in his deanor. The Inferior Demon not only devours others’ lives but also replicates their voices.
"The voice just now, reveal its corpse!" Chen Feng commanded the Inferior Demon.
The Inferior Demon tilted its head, contemplating, the mud on its body imdiately churned. Within seconds, an azure-white head erged from the Inferior Demon’s neck, its expression ferocious, pupils dilated as if witnessing sothing horrifying before death, leaving in utter unrest.
"Do you know him?" Chen Feng raised an eyebrow, questioning Wei Xun.
"This... this is Wang Yong’s subordinate, right, he is called Mouse. It was him negotiating previously, linking us up! Additionally, he’s one of the three Power Users, considered Wang Yong’s confidant!" Wei Xun felt a heaviness in his chest, he clearly saw the head appearing from the mud was undeniably the quirky Mouse!
But...
How did he end up here?
"Wang Yong?"
It appears soft tactics didn’t work; the opponent was ready to resort to force. If the Inferior Demon weren’t present, this shelter would have already beco a wasteland.
Chen Feng’s eyes narrowed, a mocking gleam within the tiny slits, coldly snorting, "I didn’t look for you, yet you ca for first, since that’s the case..."
Root and branch eradication.
Chen Feng certainly understands this principle; invasion requires speeding up the process. Wang Yong will be his first step in expansion!
