"Thank you for your help, Senior Sister Mo Chu and Senior Brother Su Bal," Li Hai said, bowing to them both. Su Bal laughed.

"Ha, I can see my younger self in him—full of positivity, innocence, and a peaceful nature. But too bad this is the immortal realm. You, boy, had to lead us to fight against the Demon Emperor..." Su Bal thought, a slight smile on his face.

"Sigh, my incredible luck is working again. The fact that even that Kai didn't use his full strength is terrifying to think about, but I'm glad this luck is on ," Li Hai thought.

"You are welco," Su Bal responded.

"That's my responsibility, Junior Brother," Mo Chu said as she brought Li Hai's head to her chest for a hug.

"Here we go again," Li Hai thought, smiling to himself.

"Brat, focus. Won will only delay the speed of you drawing your sword," the old man said, unimpressed.

"Oh, let ask you—how many won have you slept with, old pervert?" Li Hai asked, rolling his eyes.

"Cough... cough..."

"Yeah, keep coughing until your soul dissipates," Li Hai retorted.

"..."

"Ruly brat," the old man muttered, embarrassed.

"Well, let's go then. We don't have ti to waste," Su Bal said as the group moved forward.

"Old man, is there any treasure where we are going?" Li Hai asked.

"Yes, definitely. After all, it is my abode," the old man said, making Li Hai's eyes widen in horror.

Mo Chu finally pulled away from the hug, allowing Li Hai to breathe properly. The soft sensation on his face still lingered, making him smile.

"Sigh, my husband almost died. I will stick with him forever now," Mo Chu vowed silently as she looked at Li Hai.

Watching the unnatural behavior between the two, Su Bal felt a pang of pain. He and Su Yiren once acted like that before everything fell apart—before love, engagent, and then death tore them apart.

Being lonely wasn't sothing anyone wanted for themselves. Having no one to talk to, reason with, or share your pain and joy with was like slowly killing oneself.

Su Bal's heart froze at that mont, becoming as hard as stone. He didn't want to get hurt by anyone again, not like Su Yiren.

Forget all the sweet things he had done for her—getting injured for her, chasing her into the deadly forest at the back of the Su clan when she ran away as a child. They were only five back then, lost in that forest. Su Yiren had fallen and hurt her ankle, but it was him who bent down, carried her, and walked miles to leave the forest.

But with everything he had done, it only took a few years of love from a mortal boy for her to forget thousands of years of his care, love, and compassion.

The more Su Bal thought about it, the angrier he beca. He clenched his fist, his resolve hardening.

In this life, he would never cross paths with love again. No more attachnts.

In another part of the forest, a man sat on a tree branch, casually eating a fruit that exuded immortal qi. The man was none other than Kai.

"Co out, Su Yiren," Kai said indifferently.

"Ha, husband, how did you find ?" Su Yiren asked with a smile.

"Of course, because you are weaker," Kai said, chuckling.

"B*tch," Su Yiren muttered, gritting her teeth.

Kai jumped down and landed without making a sound. He appeared in front of Su Yiren and... hugged her.

"Erm... this..." Su Yiren's mind went blank. Kai had never hugged her before, so why now? She felt her heart lting as it pounded rapidly.

"I'm sorry about your dad's death," Kai whispered in her ear, causing her body to tremble.

"How's your mom holding up?" Kai asked, still hugging her.

Tears began to stream from Su Yiren's eyes as she sniffled. "Kai... I... don't have a mother. She died when I was young," she said, clenching her fists.

She grabbed Kai's clothes with force, but Kai didn't care and kept holding her.

Kai understood that not everyone was like him—naturally cold and distant.

They stayed like that for a few monts before separating.

"Will you be fine?" Kai asked, gently lifting her chin.

Looking at his handso face so close to hers made Su Yiren montarily stop crying. She nodded.

"Alright then," Kai said, turning around and walking forward.

Space distorted as a sleek dark sword appeared in his right hand.

"I'll try to avoid the Su clan mbers," Kai said before disappearing.

"W-wait," Su Yiren called out, but it was too late.

Kai was truly cold, but she didn't understand what he ant by avoiding the Su clan mbers.

What was he planning to do?

Soon, however, Su Yiren couldn't think about that anymore as tears began to flow again. The pain she had sealed away resurfaced, her vision blurring.

Her mom had been dead for years, and her father had been murdered. She still hadn't found the culprit.

She had chosen to separate from the Su clan mbers to advance quickly. If the Su clan couldn't find who did this, she would beco strong enough to do it herself.

With a scary smile on her tear-streaked face, Su Yiren wiped her eyes.

"I forgot to give this to Kai," Su Yiren thought as an ancient parcel appeared in her hand.

The map inside led to a treasure that could grow. Its value was far greater than an immortal-level weapon.

She already had her own, as did Muchen and the others, but she saw Kai's sword—it was just a normal immortal realm weapon.

"I will find him again and give it to him," Su Yiren thought before disappearing.

Deep within the ruin lay a giant, deep hole.

Seeing this hole, a male with blood-red hair was smiling. He stared into the abyss, seemingly communicating with sothing.

"Ha, hearing that the legendary Asura Clan is related to us, the Blood Clan, is interesting," Bloodt8 said with a grin.

"How are we related, though?" Bloodt8 asked, his smile turning slight.

"You are our slaves," a deep, chilling voice echoed. Space seed to harden around them.

"Hahahaha! We, your slaves? Hahahaha!" Bloodt8 laughed loudly.

"The Blood Clan isn't a slave to any clan," Bloodt8 said, his voice calm but firm.

"You are, and you know it. Let guess—you're all stuck trying to reach the legendary Transcendent Stage. Hahaha! You can never achieve it, you pieces of crap," the voice mocked.

This ti, Bloodt8's smile faded. His eyes turned a bright crimson, exuding a terrifying aura as his lips parted.

"Say that again," Bloodt8 said, his expression solemn and cold. His gaze seed to pierce through the hole, directly eting the being on the other side.

"You heard . You are all slaves to the Asura Clan. If not for that bastard Transcendent who locked us here when our Asura Ancestor was away, this immortal realm would have been ours," the being declared.

"That only proves your weakness. You're nothing without your ancestor," Bloodt8 retorted indifferently.

"You bastard... Wait until I get out. Your Blood Clan will be absorbed by us," the being said with a sinister chuckle.

"Oh, you will get out. After all, you are the sacrifice needed for us to unlock our blood shackle," Bloodt8 said, his tone calm but cutting. The being fell silent.

"You slaves... How dare you!" the being shouted as thunder raged and a storm appeared out of nowhere.

"Hmph," Bloodt8 snorted, and the weather returned to normal.

"In this place, the highest power for now is the Immortal Realm. Stay obedient while I begin the sacrifice," Bloodt8 said. The being in the hole finally remained quiet.

"Ha... I never thought it would be this easy. These Asura Clan mbers are rubbish."

"If it isn't the First Sequence of the Chen family," Montel comnted. His massive figure, standing five ters tall, radiated a golden glow and sacred aura. The astral Clan mbers were renowned for possessing so of the strongest bodies in this realm.

"Montel," the First Sequence said, addressing him as she gazed at the towering figure before her.

"Why are you following ?" Montel asked with a chuckle.

The two stood in an open expanse surrounded by mountains.

"Simple. To uncover what you're up to. You astral Clan mbers are getting restless," the First Sequence said indifferently.

"Ha... Do you think that if you uncover our secret, you'll still be alive to tell anyone?" Montel asked, raising an eyebrow.

The First Sequence remained silent. Then, suddenly, she removed her mask.

"I'm tired. Your threats would have worked a hundred thousand years ago, but now? No," she said before putting her mask back on.

Montel frowned. Her face...

"Fine. Since you're so curious, let's go find out the secret," Montel said, turning around.

The First Sequence smiled and followed him.

"Sigh... this ruin," Montel muttered, recalling his brother Mov's words.

"This ruin is the most dangerous one yet. You'll grow here and uncover the other side that has been hidden from everyone," Mov had said.

"Sigh. I never expected the First Sequence to follow . It seems the higher-ups know sothing we don't. They're giving us instructions to do specific things , but... what exactly is going on?" Montel wondered.
