"So you finally spoke up," Dared said as a silhouette appeared in front of the two giant, ancient eyes.
Outside, Dared's body lay unconscious. He was inside his own consciousness, now standing before the being that resided within him.
"Instead of talking, you should focus on your body. You've been given a crazy one-ti opportunity," Azerak said slowly.
Dared chuckled.
He wouldn't lie—if he saw Azerak physically, he'd probably be terrified. But this being was inside his consciousness. Here, Dared felt nothing… and so he was bold enough to speak freely.
"Don't worry, I know my body well. We won't miss the opportunity. But now that I know you can talk… speak," Dared said indifferently.
Azerak looked at the young pup—one who wasn't even a fraction of his age—and laughed.
"There hasn't been a single being that's dared to speak to like this," Azerak said coldly.
"Now there is. Get used to it. So tell —why are you in my body? Why did you ask for my permission before taking control?" Dared asked, and silence followed once more.
After a while, a sigh echoed in the void, and Dared frowned.
"Why do I feel sothing ancient… and lonely in that sigh?"
"Young one… it's a long story, really," Azerak replied. He looked at the body he currently resided in and sighed again. Maybe it was because he hadn't spoken to anyone in ages—but strangely, he felt like talking to this child. After all, he had always been a terrifying monster to everyone. No one had ever dared stand before him and speak so freely… until Dared.
"As for your question… I was sealed. I killed a lot of beings. I am a monster—I loved killing. So of course, the self-righteous bastards of humanity worked together with other races across the multiverse to seal . But they didn't know I had a plan. Long ago, I created a bloodline. At a specific point in ti, I would awaken in the body of one of my descendants. Normally, you should be dead by now. I don't know what went wrong… or why you're still alive. Worse, I can't control your body unless you allow to."
Dared frowned, deep in thought.
Then he asked, "Wait, you said it was a long story?"
Azerak: "..."
"Cough… maybe," Azerak said casually.
"So wait—you planned to kill your descendant and take their body? Damn, you are cruel. A real monster." Dared said seriously.
"It's enjoyable. Besides, I love being like this. Is it wrong to be the destroyer?" Azerak asked, clearly amused by this bold little pup.
"I was starting to think you were so misunderstood evil being. But… damn. You really are evil." Dared replied, shocked.
"Yes. More like… it's a hobby. Murder and the like," Azerak said, awaiting the boy's reaction.
"Such a weird kink—no, a fetish. Wait, aren't they the sa thing? Whatever. You're a weird ancestor. No care for your descendant, your own blood… you want to kill , your great-great-tis-a-hundred grandson."
"Yes," Azerak said without hesitation, then burst into laughter.
"Man, fuck you. I'll definitely kill you when I get stronger," Dared swore as Azerak laughed even louder.
"I'll be waiting, young pup," Azerak replied.
"But to sothing more important… are they dead? Or do they have a backhand like you?" Dared asked, suddenly serious.
"I don't know. From your mories, humanity seems to have beco the dominant race. As for those old fools… I can't sense any of their auras. I don't know what happened. I'm clueless."
Dared nodded.
"Well, ti to wake up," he muttered.
"Hmph," Azerak grunted.
"I have to be careful of him. He planned to take my body… and kill ," Dared thought as his vision began to change.
He'd be a fool to believe this "ancestor" wouldn't kill him if given the chance. Everything up to now felt like a ga of foreplay. Neither of them truly knew what the other was thinking.
"This pup is amusing… but I do wonder… are those old things truly dead?" Azerak murmured.

Outside...
Nephem watched as Dared's body disappeared into the blood pool and grinned.
He had actually forgotten to ntion one thing—that Dared could die. But it didn't matter. Whether one lived or died showed their determination for strength.
This pool was made from the blood of all the Void's slaves—excluding Alayot, who was a chanical being.
Any survivor who entered this pool was stepping into the blood of the Aerons.
(Aeron: beings with half demon blood and half of their original race. In simple terms, Aerons are mixed-blood demons. Nephem and the others are among the highest-tier Aerons, as they possess primordial demon blood directly from Void.)
Any survivor would be transford into sothing new.
Not exactly an Aeron—but a creature with demon blood. Though it wouldn't be as concentrated as that of a mixed-blood, the fact that it was primordial demon blood made them far superior. Even ordinary Aerons couldn't compare.
So Nephem's earlier statent about them becoming a thousand tis stronger than regular powerhouses remained true.

Inside the blood pool...
Dared's eyes twitched. He opened them to a blood-red world.
He looked around. He was inside an enormous blood pool. It was so deep he couldn't see the bottom. The liquid was thick and heavy, but he could feel his body changing rapidly.
His thoughts raced.
What will I beco? What is the Dreadborne Organization really about? Are they even human? And what is this strange, powerful blood...?
At first, from a distance, it looked like an ordinary blood pool.
But now that he was subrged within, he could feel the terrifying aura surrounding him.
Then sothing happened—his body started rising to the surface.
The transformation had begun.
"Aaaaaaaaaaaah!" Dared scread as an unbearable pain tore through his entire being.
Outside, Nephem heard the scream and smiled.
"So… it has begun," he said, a faint smile tugging at his lips.
