Continuing on his journey, Nuk ca across ruins. So parts of the massive castle had been reduced directly to dust.
But the deeper he went, the darker it beca.
Following his sense of perception, Nuk finally arrived at the king’s chamber.
He could sense a terrifying presence just beneath the room.
At first, Nuk moved around casually, examining the strange artifacts, mostly trying to understand and learn about the civilization before him.
Finally, Nuk’s claws brushed against a wall as the ground trembled and a pathway slowly opened.
There was no light in sight, but for Nuk, it was as bright as day.
"Hm... I wonder... what secret lies here?" Nuk muttered with a chuckle as he descended.

Two hundred ters beneath the ground, a gigantic cave could be seen.
Within this cave was an enormous entity wrapped in chains and bound between five massive pillars.
At the tip of the chains touching the ground was a blood-red sword.
The creature rested upon an elevated platform, while beneath it, a large pool of blood surrounded the area. The blood had long since darkened, turning into a deep crimson color.
Its body resembled that of a serpentine beast.
Dark scales covered its enormous form, while its face was split strangely, one half resembling a tiger and the other half a whale.
Four giant legs supported its body as the chains pierced through its scales, causing blood to drip continuously from the wounds.
The creature could barely move while sealed, but the massive blood pool surrounding it was proof of just how long it had endured this punishnt.
Just as it wallowed in hatred and resentnt, it suddenly sensed soone approaching.
For the first ti in ages, its body moved slightly as it coiled instinctively.
But the chains tightened even deeper into its flesh, reopening old wounds as blood poured out rapidly.
"...Is that... one of his descendants?" a loud ancient voice reverberated across the cave as its massive eyes lit up like green lanterns.
Pah... Pah...
Steady footsteps echoed through the darkness.
The closer they ca, the more anxious the creature beca, its glowing eyes filled with anticipation.
"A hundred years? A thousand? Ten thousand? ...How long have I been sealed?" the creature pondered as its body trembled with excitent.
It had spent centuries locked away, eting no living being.
The isolation had done terrible things to its mind.
At one point, it had even begun talking to itself just to remain sane.
Finally, the footsteps slowed and ca to a stop as a two-ter-tall anomaly appeared before it.
The creature froze in shock.
It had expected a human.
Instead, it saw a being standing on two legs, with dark scales lined with blue stripes and a long tail behind it.
"You... you are not his descendants..." it spoke, its voice ancient and deep.
Nuk looked up at the massive creature before him, his face filled with surprise.
What was this thing?
And why was it sealed here?
But the most shocking part was not its appearance.
It was the fact that Nuk could not see its soul.
He could only feel an overwhelmingly heavy presence from it.
Just as the creature was curious about Nuk, Nuk was equally curious about the creature.
"I do not know what you are talking about, but we are invaders. He and his descendants should already be dead by now," Nuk spoke calmly as he observed the creature’s expression.
Hearing this, the creature froze for a mont before its eyes lit up.
This was good.
Did this an he could finally escape?
Did this an he could finally be free from this burden?
Could he truly break free from this seal?
But its excitent quickly cald as it carefully observed the strange two-legged creature before it.
"What do you want?" the creature finally asked.
Nuk was slightly taken aback.
What did he want?
"Is it power? Long life? Tell , mortal. I can grant it to you," the creature said as its massive green eyes glowed brightly within the darkness.
Nuk suddenly felt his mind shake.
A soft voice whispered within his consciousness, tempting him to accept.
Nuk took a step back and shook his head violently.
Finally, his crimson-red eyes glowed brightly as the aura of a high-level Rank 0 being erupted from him.
But to the creature...
It felt like nothing more than a breeze.
"Tell ..." the creature’s voice grew deeper and louder as the entire cave trembled.
Nuk felt even his soul shake from the pressure.
"What I want...?" Nuk muttered as his gaze landed upon the creature’s scales.
Then he realized sothing.
Within the creature’s open wounds, he could vaguely sense glimpses of its soul.
aning...
It was not its body hiding the soul.
It was the scales themselves that concealed it.
And if that was true...
Could those scales also be used to store souls?
"Give one of your scales," Nuk suddenly spoke.
The creature’s eyes widened.
"You do not need to tempt . I already know you want to be freed. Just give your scale," Nuk continued calmly.
The creature frowned.
Why did he want its scale?
Its gigantic body twisted slightly.
"Mortal... if I do that..." the creature paused briefly.
"You must release my seal," it said.
Nuk grinned.
Seeing this, the creature shifted its body again.
The chains peeled away several of its scales, and one of them eventually fell into Nuk’s hands.
Seeing the massive thirty-inch-long scale made Nuk click his tongue in amazent at just how enormous the creature’s true body must actually be.
"Remove the swords from the ground and free , mortal," the creature’s voice reverberated across the cave once more.
"I will give you power. Fa beyond imagination. I will—"
"I never said I would," Nuk interrupted with a grin as he turned and began walking away.
"You vile beast!"
The creature roared angrily as a terrifying wind exploded outward.
Instantly, Nuk frowned.
This aura...
It was beyond Rank 0.
He had already sensed the aura of peak Rank 0 beings before, yet this creature was several levels stronger.
And worse...
It had already been weakened by ti and sealing, yet it still possessed such terrifying power.
"I do not know whether it will be useful or not. But if it is..." Nuk paused slightly before glancing back.
"I will release you."
