With the addition of the other demon, Nuk was much more confident in their ability to conquer the super city.

At high-level Rank 0, the demons had begun to use more of their brains...well, except for a few like...

Nuk glanced at Kravos before looking down as he listened to the plan.

This ti around, they were being led by peak Rank 0 demons, likely under the command of Lord Vakim.

With the huge demon army at the very least a million in number, they were like black sand spreading across the surroundings.

With all this in mind, Nuk was ready. As were the peak Rank 0 demons and the others. This battle... they would win.

---

At the super city...

A eting was ongoing between two systems: first, the governntal system of this world, and second, the sect system of this world.

The sect leaders were all present, in addition to the heads of various noble families.

Their expressions were dire. They knew the situation on the ground was far from simple. They needed to prepare and respond properly to the threat before them.

This was not just a light war, it might affect the frontline. If they were breached from the rear, those at the front would be placed in an even more dangerous situation.

"So how do we fight an enemy that is stronger at the lower level and even stronger at the top?" The first to speak was the Grand Malard, leader of this super city.

His face looked aged as his body was coated in intricate embroidery, with flower patterns lining his coat.

Although the white hair on his head and his white eyebrows suggested old age, the youthful vigor burning in his eyes spoke otherwise..wise, yet dangerous.

A calm but oppressive aura filled the room. Even without revealing his power, his voice commanded respect from anyone who heard it.

"Going multiple against one won't work either. They are far too nurous."

"According to the spies who survived and returned with information, we are facing at least eight peak Rank 0 demons leading this army not to ntion hundreds of high-level Rank 0 demons."

"Among us, we only have twenty experts at peak Rank 0. Five of them are nearing their limit and can only return to their peak for a brief mont before their end."

"As for the remaining fifteen experts…"

A man with a freshly trimd beard and a bald head stood up.

He was a mber of a strange sect where all disciples and elders were required to shave their heads.

"Does anyone here think they can take on a peak Rank 0 demon alone?" he asked.

The entire room fell silent.

Over twenty people were present in this large, spacious chamber. Various runes and formations had been set up to prevent any information spoken here from leaking outside. The strongest individuals in the city were gathered here.

This discussion was critical as it would decide whether they survived or died.

"The only advantage we have is the do protecting us. Since it has only one entrance, the gate, we are at least secure for now. But a good war strategy is still needed if we hope to have any chance of survival…"

The man paused. Seeing the silence in the room, he swallowed, coughed lightly, and cleared his throat.

"If we hope to survive," he finished.

Everyone took a deep breath.

The Grand Malard sighed, his eyes filled with the weight of years of worry and responsibility from leading a super city.

"You have spoken well, highlighting our problem and at least hinting at a solution."

He began again.

"What I will say is this: we are not facing this alone. Other super cities exist, so anyone thinking of escaping is only delaying their death. They will not avoid the inevitable."

The Grand Malard glanced around as several people lowered their heads, exposing their intention to flee.

"We must stand here and fight together. As he said, the do has done a great deal—

, it prevents aerial attacks, and not only that, it also blocks attacks from the sides and rear. We do not need to worry about our backline, so at least many problems are reduced."

He paused again, his expression turning solemn as the tension in the room rose further.

"I am considering sacrificing the outer section. We will create a formation to protect that part from aerial attacks while shifting the do's main structure backward and relocating it from that section."

As the Grand Malard spoke, the experts in the room felt their hearts grow colder, drenched in cold sweat.

That… this....

It seed too extre.

That section contained at the very least tens of millions of lives. Although it was considered a low-end area and classified as a low-inco district where the poor lived, it also generated most of the inco for this super city.

Farming lands and various industries were also present there.

What the Grand Malard was basically suggesting was turning this place into a battlefield.

With the realm do formation shifted to the rear, it would lose the protection it once had, leading to the deaths of millions and a severe loss to the city's economy.

No matter what formation they created, it could never compare to the do. It would only be a matter of ti before it was broken, and the demon army would swarm in, quickly turning the area into a dead zone littered with corpses.

For a super city, it was divided into five sections, with the inner city where the Grand Malard, sect leaders, and noble families resided. From Section 1 to Section 5, each contained people ranging from the poorest to the wealthiest.

Section 5 was the poorest and the one the Grand Malard wanted to sacrifice. It contained tens to hundreds of millions of lives, the majority being farrs and livestock breeders.

A large portion of their economy would be wiped out like this.

"Your Highness, this won't—"

"We have to consider this, sir…"

"Grand Malard, your idea is good, but we will cripple ourselves before the war even begins."

Imdiately after the Grand Malard spoke, various voices rose as the nobles protested. After all, if the economy collapsed, wouldn't the super city already be as good as dead?

As for the sect leaders, they watched everything quietly.
