From the shattered plains below, darkness began to seep upward, slowly, silently — like ink bleeding through silk.
It coiled and twisted, forming a vast domain that pulsed with a life of its own, centering around Yu Xuan.
The colossal dragon sensed it instantly.
Her ancient bloodline scread a warning — a primal instinct whispering danger.
The air around her shimred with tension as the dragon’s golden pupils dilated, locking onto the figure below.
Yu Xuan walked calmly through the air, each step manifesting a stair of pure darkness beneath his feet. The darkness obeyed him, bowing and shifting, forming an obsidian path that led straight toward the heavens — toward the dragon above.
A low growl reverberated through the skies, and the dragon opened her maw.
Within it, creation itself seed to stir — a sphere of blinding, molten light gathered, before being unleashed as a torrent of radiant annihilation.
The heavens blazed as the dragon’s divine breath surged toward Yu Xuan.
He did not retreat.
Lifting one hand with deliberate calm, Yu Xuan willed the darkness to obey — and it did.
Darkness coalesced around his palm, spiraling and hardening until a colossal black shield unfurled before him. The breath struck it in an instant, and the sky beca a battlefield of light and dark.
A blinding explosion erupted, shaking the realm itself — yet when the light faded, Yu Xuan still stood unscathed, his shield absorbing every trace of that attack.
Then, he looked upward.
Between the nine blazing suns that ruled the sky, a small dot appeared — faint, almost imperceptible.
But in the blink of an eye, that dot expanded, spreading tendrils of shadow that swallowed light itself.
Nine black moons erged, one beneath each sun.
And one by one, they eclipsed them.
The world dimd. The brilliant sky turned to twilight as darkness fell across the entire illusionary realm.
Gasps echoed among the surviving disciples below — disbelief rippling through their hearts.
One mont, they stood beneath the nine suns. The next, under the suffocating gaze of nine black moons.
Then, the moons shone — not with light, but with darkness. They pulsed in rhythm with Yu Xuan’s heartbeat, their black radiance converging above the dragon.
Long Anming’s dorm trembled as the pressure descended.
Yet, no matter how she struggled, her body froze mid-air, bound by an unseen force.
It wasn’t fear that stopped her.
It was the will of darkness itself — the dominion of Yu Xuan.
Then, as if following a silent command, the nine black moons began to move.
Slowly at first, then faster — orbiting Yu Xuan and the colossal dragon in a perfect pattern, weaving together into a vast sphere that sealed off everything within.
In the next heartbeat, the world outside vanished.
A do of pure darkness enveloped them, swallowing all sound and light.
Within it, only the faint glow of Yu Xuan’s right eye and the dragon’s golden eyes remained.
From high above the illusionary realm, four figures stood watching. Their expressions were carved with disbelief.
None of them, not even in their wildest imaginings, had foreseen this outco.
"This is... totally unexpected. Even though I imagined Yu Xuan to be strong at this point, this level is astonishing," Fang Wu said.
Grand Elder Baotian’s eyes glead with interest.
"That child... he carries an extraordinary physique."
"Will that girl lose?" Wuji asked, though his voice lacked conviction.
Inwardly, he was shaken. The overwhelming pressure radiating from that do made his hopes for his disciple’s victory flicker like a dying candle.
’I just hope both of them get seriously injured,’ Wuji thought bitterly.
Yet even that small wish seed delusional now, after witnessing Yu Xuan’s terrifying display.
’Where did those brats even co from?’ he fud inwardly, his expression souring.
The presence of not just one, but three such "irregulars" — made him deeply uneasy.
Only the Martial Ancestor remained silent, his gaze fixed on the do of darkness. Unease brushed his heart.
But he exhaled softly and dismissed it.
’Perhaps I’m just being paranoid again,’ he told himself.
And yet, deep down, he knew that feeling was never wrong.
***
Yu Xuan and Long Anming now stood within the Dark Do.
Inside, there was no sound, no light — nothing but silence.
The only glimrs of illumination ca from Yu Xuan’s right eye, glowing white, and from Long Anming’s twin golden pupils, shimring like molten suns in an endless void.
Then, slowly, the darkness began to change.
From the tip of her tail upward, faint light flickered, white luminescence spreading along her spine, tracing every curve of her majestic draconic body.
Her fur shimred like moonlight, and her scales reflected that brilliance, creating a haunting, ethereal beauty.
Yu Xuan’s gaze softened for an instant, srized by the sight before him.
In that abyss of darkness, the dragon seed less a creature and more a divine apparition — a being born from creation and destruction both.
Yu Xuan stepped closer reaching her, he raised his hand and brushed it gently against her horn. Its texture was rough yet regal, pulsing faintly with power and pride.
"This horn," he murmured, his voice deep and steady,
"is truly sothing sacred to you."
Long Anming’s entire form trembled, her golden eyes flaring with fury and confusion, yet her body remained immobile, bound by a pressure that suppressed even her bloodline.
Then Yu Xuan closed his eyes.
His aura cald, his breath even.
When he opened them again, his sword appeared in his hand, its edge crimson.
Without hesitation, he turned the blade inward and pressed it against his chest.
The sharp edge slid into his heart.
Long Anming’s pupils contracted in shock, and she tried to move, to strike, but the mont she willed her body, an imnse suppression radiated from Yu Xuan, one that made even her bloodline tremble in dread.
He drew the blade out slowly, and in his hand coalesced a small, crystalline droplet — black and white blood intertwined, pulsing with rhythm.
His face paled, yet the darkness around him stirred, seeping into his wound and knitting it shut.
With a flick of his hand, he used [Telekinesis] and the dragon’s enormous jaws parted. Yu Xuan lifted the glowing crystal and guided it into her mouth.
Long Anming sneered inwardly despite her paralysis.
’A trick? Does he think his mortal essence can change ? Foolish human.’
But the mont the crystalline blood touched her tongue, the silence seed to shatter.
Her body convulsed violently.
A wave of pure through her veins, devouring everything and remaking it anew.
Her eyes widened in disbelief, pain as her very bloodline rebelled against itself.
And then—
ROAARRRRRRRRR!
Her roar split the dark heavens within the do.
Yu Xuan stood motionless, his gaze sharp yet calm as he observed her struggle.
Within that majestic form, an internal storm raged — the fusion of his [Origin] with her ancient bloodlines was rewriting her very essence.
Cracks began to spread across her obsidian scales, light bleeding from within as if her body could no longer contain the devastating force.
New scales ford beneath the old — brighter, stronger, and more refined, but her being resisted fiercely, unwilling to yield her draconic purity.
And Yu Xuan... found himself amused. He liked it more this way — her defiance, her pride, her unwillingness to bow.
Then the air shuddered. The darkness behind her pulsed, and two colossal dragon specters erged, each one radiating power that transcended mortal comprehension.
One was wreathed in black mist, its eyes glowing blue with the essence of death and destruction.
The other shone with blinding brilliance.
Their re gaze seed to pierce through the veils of space and ti, locking directly onto Yu Xuan.
A voice, ancient and heavy, thundered into his mind.
’Stop at once, human!’
It was the dark dragon, its tone imperious, echoing across his consciousness.
The second specter, the divine one, said nothing.
Its eyes flickered with subtle curiosity as it watched Long Anming’s form.
A faint smile touched Yu Xuan’s lips, cold and mocking. His presence swelled, and even the darkness of the do seed to recoil.
"Who," he said, his voice ringing with unrestrained arrogance,
"dares bark orders at , you oversized lizard?"
The do trembled violently, cracks of pure black lightning streaking through the void.
’You lowly human, DIE!’ the dark specter bellowed.
A devastating wave of destructive energy surged toward Yu Xuan, space itself trembling under its might.
Yet Yu Xuan only lifted his hand lazily, his eyes, one black and one white, glowed with power.
With a single motion, reality itself bent to his will.
The dark dragon’s essence howled once before it was forcefully drawn back, collapsing into a spiral of light that rged once more with Long Anming’s form.
The second dragon, the radiant one, t Yu Xuan’s gaze silently, without saying anything. Then, without resistance, it too dissolved into Long Anming’s body.
A blinding light erupted from her, swallowing the do in brilliance. When it faded, the colossal dragon was gone, replaced by a woman standing in the air.
