"Co out," Yu Xuan said calmly, his eyes narrowing as he recognized a familiar presence.
From the distant snowfield, four figures erged flying straight toward him, their Peak Tier Three auras radiating with intentional pressure, almost flaunting it.
Their expressions were arrogant.

"Number One. Long ti no see. Looks like your cultivation has improved a little," he said casually, as if greeting an old neighbor instead of a group of cultivators.

And the leader, Number One had an expression of disbelief.
Of course he rembered.
He could never forget the humiliation from that day in the prison, the day he was forced to call a literal child his boss.
After that incident, he trained desperately to rebuild his pride.
He worked day and night, and eventually, along with his three comrades, joined the Discipline Committee.
Though new mbers, the gates crisis had made Peak Tier Three cultivators valuable, and they were quickly deployed.
But now.
Now he saw him.
And all rationality evaporated.
The leader’s face twisted in rage, as if Yu Xuan’s had stabbed at an old scar.
In his mind, he justified it perfectly.

A vicious smile spread across his face.
"Senior Yusss... I think this guy hasss a serious grudge with you," Sisu whispered, reading the tension.
Liji nodded solemnly.

"Hahaha! Perfect!" Number One roared, losing all semblance of composure.
"eting you here is fate! Today, I’ll thoroughly crush you!"
Without hesitation, he and his comrades charged at Yu Xuan with blazing speed.
In his excitent to finally take revenge...
he didn’t even check Yu Xuan’s current cultivation.
"Eh?" Liji blinked, brows lifting.
She sensed he now radiated Tier Two aura and frowned slightly.

He sighed and sent a ntal transmission.
’Hey. Why do you keep staring at the twins? What’s with that weird behavior?’
Number Four flinched so hard he almost tripped, then hurriedly replied in a whisper-like ntal voice.
’B-Boss... do you really not know? Or are you pretending not to know?’
’Know what?’
’These two... don’t you know who they are?’
’Who?’
Number Four hesitated, then sent shaky words.
’Boss, they’re Calamity Serpents!!!’
Yu Xuan blinked.
He’d never heard the term before, but the way Number Four’s soul wobbled told him it was sothing important.
’Explain,’ Yu Xuan ordered.

"Let’s go faster," Yu Xuan said.
He didn’t wait for agreent, he simply lifted the twins with [Telekinesis], levitating them beside him like floating dolls.
Number One’s group followed, streaking across the snow like bolts of light.
As they neared the source of the commotion, Yu Xuan saw two familiar figures retreating, Shangguan Yan and another disciple from Tuoba Jun’s squad.
Both were bruised, bleeding, and barely running.
"What happened to you two?" Yu Xuan asked, lowering the twins.
Shangguan Yan grimaced.
"We were ambushed... by a lot of Tier Three beasts, and by a lot I an too many to count. Their coordination was really sothing and we suspect that soone is controlling them. Senior Jun stayed behind to hold them off... while we escaped."
Yu Xuan’s eyes narrowed.
"You three stay here," he ordered.
"Number One, co with ."
Before anyone could argue, Yu Xuan grabbed Number One by the back of his collar and the two shot into the sky, flying straight toward Tuoba Jun’s location like twin streaks of lightning.
