Shi Lang and Alia followed Nishan for a good while of ti before they landed in front of a rather big mud house. It would be nice to call it a mud castle. However, Shi Lang looked at Alia and gave her a hand signal. The lady nodded faintly as they followed Nishan. Sun Archers were a bunch that could not lie, this was not their ability but their limitation. Their ability which to many people seed rather basic, was actually terrifying.
As Terrans who had genetic abilities, they both knew that the abilities people have could be trained, and if Nishan was soone who could make judgents based on the intentions of the people, then it was completely possible for the elders of the Sun Archer race to detect the fluctuation of the spiritual energy and detect their thoughts. If they were to intercept any ssages passed with each other during the telepathic communication, things could turn out rather bad.
This strategy was sothing they had decided over the etings that took place in the Asura Hall strategy discussion. This was the first interracial visit, they were supposed to seal their consciousness, so they were flying in blind and it was not a bad decision to take such precautions. They entered the mud castle and looked around with curiosity, after all this place was being used for the reception of various races to discuss the imminent threat that was heading their way, so while this place looked simple every grain of mud that was used in the buildup had a microarray engraved on it.
Shi Lang took a deep breath and remarked, "The Sun Archer sure went to the limit for this place. The engraved arrays on the particles, they have made this place into a boulder that sits in the river of ti and make the water bypass it."
Nishan smiled faintly and replied, "I expected nothing less from your keen eyes. You are the first person who has detected this."
Shi Lang smiled and said, "Brother Nishan, my wife ca with only to watch the scenery and if we are heading directly to et all the people then it would cause so trouble after I go back ho."
Nishan laughed and replied, "No worries, I will ask my sister to take Madam Alia outside where she would be able to admire the landscape. However, I apologize but it would not be too far, as the elders have prohibited this."
Alia nodded and replied, "Thank you, I am content as long as I don't have to ddle with the etings and official things. I have not enjoyed freedom in a long ti."
Nishan smiled and nodded, he thought that when Shi Lang was busy in cultivation Alia was the one handling all the affairs at the Asura Hall. The man didn't mind helping out Alia if it was just gazing at the scenery. They reached the end of a long corridor and there stood a few Sun Archers who were dressed in garnts similar to the Nishan, these people were all younger to him but they belonged to the sa royal lineage as him. They bowed and said, "Greetings, Young Lord."
Nishan nodded to them and said, "This is my friend, Lord Shi Lang, the helmsn of the Human race and beside him is his Dao Companion or as he calls it, his wife, Lady Alia."
The people bowed back, they have all heard about Shi Lang, and how he was not soone who feared bloodshed in order to make sure that his race progresses steadily. Though, they all were kind of smitten by Alia's otherworldly charm, but too bad the lady stood in her position holding Shi Lang's arm.
They thought she was holding his hand just to show their love, but what they could not perceive was that the lady was holding her husband back from beating the crap out of these people. Nishan looked at the young lady who was overtly or covertly looking at Alia and Shi Lang and said, "Amare, co here."
The lady shivered and then she stepped up. Nishan said, "Lady Alia wishes to see the scenery of the Sun Archer world, please take her to the eastern pavilion, while I take Lord Shi Lang to the eting. The ti is running short."
The young lady nodded and then gestured for Alia to follow her. anwhile Shi Lang headed to the interior of the Mud Castle, and after going through a lot of slanted corridors he reached a big garden in the center of the castle. This place looked like it was still located on the sa level as the ground floor, but it was not. This place was elevated, Shi Lang had developed a complete three dinsional map of this place in his mind, he knew exactly how many people were there, and what they were doing.
Though the microarrays were designed to scramble the divine sense to stop people from perceiving everything that was going on inside the castle, but it was not enough to negate his ability of forming maps and scanning the surroundings. The garden was huge and it was surrounded by all kind of flowers, and Shi Lang made an educated guess, that all these flowers belonged to various races and was loved by them, and these flowers were the barricades or signifiers of the sitting arrangents.
Nishan led him to the place where a bench was placed in front of a jasmine bush. Shi Lang smiled and said, "Thank you for your consideration, Brother Nishan."
The man smiled and replied, "This was an arrangent I saw in one of the taverns around the Asura Hall, they said that the visitors enjoyed it more when they had their favored flowers surrounding them."
Shi Lang smiled and replied, "The tavern owner surely has a knack for making others feel happy."
Nishan nodded and then he said, "Brother Shi, you sit here and I will go and check on the rest of the people, the elders must be heading over quickly."
Shi Lang nodded, he didn't mind sitting here alone, on the contrary, he was happy if Nishan stayed a bit farther from him. This way Shi Lang would not attract the attention from the higher ranking races. At this mont, he had no ti to engage in the petty gas of jealousy and suppression.
Slowly after, Nishan began to lead one guest after the other. The thing that Shi Lang found odd was that all the races had sent just one of their own people and they were more or less similar to Shi Lang in realm cultivation. The people had neutral expressions, because from what Shi Lang concluded, they were trying to avoid getting their thoughts detected by the older people of the Sun Archer Race.
Shi Lang nodded to those who nodded to him and smile to those who smiled at him, but apart from that, he didn't inch forward to kiss ass, he was never good at it. Just when he was thinking that this paltry affair was going to close and the elders would arrive, soone said, "It seems to that the leader of the Human race has no sense of seniority."
Shi Lang sighed as he looked at the person and asked, "May I ask, what realm of cultivation do you belong to?"
The man replied, "I am a Dao Priest."
Shi Lang nodded and replied, "I am a Dao Seeker, who is senior among us?"
The people fell silent and began to look at the situation before them. They all knew that in this world it was not the age of the person decided if he was the senior or not, but it was the strength of the person backed by his virtue that decided if the person is worthy of being addressed as a Senior. Shi Lang's strength had caused the man's already purple face turn into a shade of dark blue.
Shi Lang asked again, "What is your race? If I am not wrong it is the Majins. Right?"
The man nodded begrudgingly and Shi Lang said, "You treat people based on their abilities to fight things out, right? So instead of preaching seniority, why don't you take on in a spar after the eting and we would see, who is stronger and who is the senior? What do you say?"
The people were silent, they didn't expect that even after knowing the the opponent against him is a Majin race mber, Shi Lang would still ask for a battle after the eting. If the Majin sat back and stayed silent, then he would be humiliated, and if he takes the offer, then he would be beaten crazy, because they all knew Shi Lang could definitely take this guy and then beat him till his bones break.
Just then, the elders of the Sun archer Clan arrived inside the Garden, and they greeted everyone with a bow. Shi Lang also stood up and bowed back before sitting down on the share, and the old man in the lead said, "I am Kallar Vikram, I thank you all for coming over on such short notice, but things have turned rather serious and I am sure, that you have an inkling of what I am talking about."
