Shi Lang watched the clouds gather and then he raised his head as he slapped the cauldron. The lid flew and one cerulean blue pill with a red shine to it flew out in the void. Serenity appeared beside Shi Lang and asked in surprise, "Did you really create a pill with one set of materials?"
Shi Lang smiled and said, "Had I failed, what good this badge would be?"
Serenity did not see any ounce of doubt in his words. She was shocked, and realized that Shi Lang was not as simple as she thought him to be. Shi Lang looked at the sky and sighed, "Can you finish the build-up and get done with it? Always the drama."
The clouds thundered loudly and the lightning bolts fell from the sky and hit the pill hovering in the void. The pill was shining earlier had dimd a bit, and Serenity beca very anxious. She looked at Shi Lang who was standing with his hands behind his back.
She could see that he was completely confident and calm. She could not figure out from where all this confidence was coming from. Her gaze fell on the cauldron that was hovering in the void, and just when she was thinking if she could sense the artifact but Shi Lang waved his hand and the cauldron was placed back in his space ring.
The lightning bolts fell from the sky hitting the pill one after the other. Xiao ng was also shocked. Although she has faced her own tribulations but they were all similar to this pill. She was in doubt thinking that this pill had a greater value then her.
Shi Lang looked at her as he sensed the movent of spiritual energy around her, and he said, "Child, it is not that the pill is important or greater of a treasure than you, but the heavens that is tricky. Your ailnt is the reason that this broken tribulation looks down on you."
His words were like a taunt and allegation against the tribulation. The dark clouds thundered and Shi Lang raised his head up as he said, "Do you want to go against ? Have you forgotten who I am?"
As he said this, a wisp of supre aura leaked from his eyes. Serenity sensed her heart shiver for a second and she was shocked. She thought, 'How can he give so a sensation, what is this man?'
The tribulation clouds also cald down. After the last bolt of lightning, the clouds gradually vanished and Shi Lang flickered from his position. He watched the pill spin on its axis at a high speed and gobble up pure spiritual energy as it repaired itself.
When it finished repairing, the pill was covered with lightning patterns, signifying that it was a treasure that could make people kill each other in a blink. Shi Lang grabbed the pill and ca back on the ground. He stood next to Serenity and opened his palm, as he said, "You can check the effect before you give it to Xiao ng."
Serenity nodded, and brought out a needle from her space ring. Do not think that the needle appeared too conveniently, but all the cultivators kept one with themselves as a ans of testing pills and arrays.
Serenity pricked the pill with her needle and then asked Xiao ng to lick it. Xiao ng nodded and licked the needle, after a mont, she revealed a very pleasurable expression and the old lady looked at Shi Lang with gratitude. She asked, "What do you want in return?"
Shi Lang smiled, he knew that if he denied anything to her, it would beco too suspicious, so he said, "I do not want anything from you, but after Xiao ng eats the pill and refines her bloodline, I will talk to her, and decide."
Serenity was surprised, and then she frowned, Shi Lang replied, "Do not worry, Senior, I will not ask for sothing that is below my status."
Serenity was still doubtful but Xiao ng ca to the side, and grabbed the pill that was resting in her palm. The old lady was caught off guard and the young lady swallowed the pill.
The pill lted in her mouth and then it went down her bloodstream quickly blending the two bloodlines together. Xiao ng was covered in a ice blue glow. Serenity took a step back and asked hurriedly, "What is going on?"
Shi Lang replied calmly, "The two bloodlines in her body are harmonizing and her sword soul is emitting a glow to protect her. If you dared to touch her, you might lose your hand as a result. Just watch carefully, she will be fine soon."
Serenity waved her hand to cast a concealnt barrier around them, and Shi Lang tossed a few dozen supre spirit stones that shattered around Xiao ng and the spiritual energy inside them was extracted by the young lady.
Ice blue glow grew brighter with every few seconds, and it went on for nearly ten minutes, before it began to dim. After a couple of hours, the glow had vanished but Xiao ng had yet to open her eyes.
Old Matriarch asked, "What is going on, why hasn't she opened her eyes?"
Shi Lang replied, "Her sword soul has completed transformation, but now her body is going through it. See."
As he finished speaking, the body began to secrete black oily substance, and her muscles were squirming. Shi Lang raised his eyebrow and said, "The pill energy is helping her wash her marrow and rectify the impurities in her body. This is an unexpectedly pleasant surprise."
Serenity was getting anxious with every passing mont. She did not wish to see her grand daughter suffer, however, it was just because of this emotion, she was also holding back. She did not wish to act hastily and disturb her grand daughter, lest it hard her more than saving her.
Shi Lang sat in the void with his eyes closed. He knew that this process of the physical change would not end in a small ti. As he ditated, two days went by. Serenity took a deep breath and said, "It is enough. What have you done to her?"
Her tone beca very accusing, but Shi Lang did not mind and he said, "The fragrance of the pill has vanished, she should be waking up now."
Serenity was confused as she did not understand what he ant, and she was about to yell on him, when a calm yet sweet voice echoed in her ears, "Grandma, I am fine now."
Serenity turned her head and found Xiao ng opening her eyes slowly. The young lady realized that she could speak now. She opened her eyes wide, and Serenity approached her quickly to check her with divine sense and said, "How do you feel?"
Xiao ng replied, "I am feeling good, as if my body is filled with energy and it can explode."
Shi Lang said, "Channel your spiritual energy and cultivate. Do not waste ti."
Xiao ng nodded and sat on the ground, as she began to cultivate. The energy inside her body that had been accumulated by hard work all these years, began to show. Her realm began to climb but just as she was about to climb into another realm, Shi Lang made a few seals with his hands and cast them onto her.
Serenity looked at him, and said, "How will she open them in the future?"
Shi Lang smiled and said, "She will tell the answer to my question and then I will tell her the thod. Regardless of what she says, I will not back off from my promise."
Two more days passed, and after consolidating the foundation of her cultivation she stood up and Shi Lang asked with a smile, "How is it Xiao ng? Have you thought about the answer of my question?"
Xiao ng nodded and after so thought she said, "Yes, I agree."
Serenity looked at the two of them, and the old lady asked, "What are you agreeing to?"
Xiao ng said calmly, "Senior asked if I would like to be his disciple and learn sword skills. I agree, I want to be a sword fairy."
Serenity was surprised and then she turned to glare at Shi Lang, as she asked, "Human, how dare you conspire against like this? How dare you enchant my Granddaughter."
Shi Lang narrowed his gaze as his smile vanished. He placed his hand on the hilt of the sword on his waist, and his aura changed. Serenity was shocked to see this, and the Terran even let out his supre aura, making the old lady shiver slightly. He asked indifferently, "I did not ask you this question because you would never agree and beco a stone in her path. She is destined for greatness, and I will teach her all that I know about sword and cultivation. I refined the pill to save her selflessly, yet you dare to accuse of treachery? Do you wish to die so badly?"
His aura towered above Serenity who was dazed. Just then a calm voice echoed from behind Shi Lang, "Lord, please hold your hand."
Shi Lang sneered and said, "Finally willing to show yourself, old man."
