Peach Blossom and Kimhant climbed higher up Mount Agaz, frustration evident, particularly for the young girl. She was especially annoyed by the uninvited company of Demos from the Doom Star Guild. Though Demos had not done anything to interfere with them, Kimhant could not shake a constant sense of unease. After all, Demos had a reputation as the most ruthless player in the ga. Peach Blossom frequently snapped at Demos fearlessly, but he rely laughed at her outbursts without care. To him, her fiery attitude was amusing, like a cody performance.

"Why are you following us!"

Peach Blossom yelled yet again, her irritation mounting.

"I'm not following you. I can walk wherever I want. Nobody can tell otherwise,"

Demos replied with a chuckle, his expression remaining as icy as ever.

"But you keep going in the sa direction as us,"

Peach Blossom retorted angrily. Kimhant tried to dissuade Peach Blossom from provoking Demos, fearing that he might lose his temper and kill them. However, Peach Blossom seed unconcerned by what he tried to convey, possibly because she did not sense any imdiate threat from Demos.

But as Peach Blossom's voice faded, Demos's eyes suddenly turned sharp and full of malice. Entering combat mode, he unsheathed a massive black sword. (Unlike other players who bonded with their weapons, Demos had fused only his soul with a manticore, allowing him to wield any weapon while drawing on its power.) Without warning, he charged toward Peach Blossom and Kimhant at an alarming speed.

"Ahhh. I told you not to provoke him. Now he's mad, and we're going to die before you even get a pet!"

Kimhant scread, scolding Peach Blossom for angering the infamous ruthless murderer of Adventure World Online, Demos.

"I didn't think he'd be this cruel,"

Peach Blossom shouted back, equally panicked. The two clung to each other, squeezing their eyes tightly as fear gripped their hearts.

Demos showed no sign of slowing down, ignoring their terrified screams. But instead of cutting the pair who were in tight embrace down for annoying him, he veered past them and struck a giant widow spider beast—a black beast that had been lying in wait to bite the careless pair into halves.

Screech!

The spider howled in pain as Demos's blade tore through its body, red blood spilling from its wound. The enormous creature staggered backward, causing Peach Blossom and Kimhant to jump in surprise. Turning to the source of the scream, they realized Demos had attacked the beast instead of them. They let out sighs of relief, only to retreat in fright several steps as they noticed the massive spider that had nearly ambushed them.

"He wasn't trying to attack us,"

Kimhant said weakly. He had not expected Demos to step in and protect them from a beast. Peach Blossom was equally stunned. She stared at Demos without blinking, her usual irritation replaced by sothing closer to admiration—though far less obvious than the way she looked at Chang Long.

"You…"

Peach Blossom murmured, her voice barely audible as she watched Demos's back while he battled the giant black widow spider.

Demos made quick work of the beast, dispatching it with ease. He sheathed his sword and turned to face Peach Blossom, a faint smirk on his lips. Despite his sardonic expression, his icy deanor had returned.

"Are you here to find a pet or your death? You didn't even notice a beast sneaking up on you,"

Demos taunted, clearly enjoying himself.

"T... That's none of your business!"

Peach Blossom stamred, avoiding Demos's piercing gaze.

"Let's go."

Grabbing Kimhant's arm, she quickly pulled him along, ignoring Demos, who could not help but laugh. He found her behavior endearing and felt a strong urge to tease her even more. So, he continued following them.

"Mythical Tiger Cub Beast, Level 35 has appeared."

Near a cliff edge, where a lone tree stood tall, Peach Blossom spotted a small beast. It looked like a kitten with sleek gray fur that shimred like mist. She was imdiately captivated by it, sothing even Demos and Kimhant noticed.

"Maybe you shouldn't,"

Demos cautioned.

"Why not? It's only level 35. I can handle it easily," Peach Blossom replied, puzzled, as she cautiously approached the cub, afraid it might get startled and run away.

"I believe you can handle the little one, but… what about the big one behind it?" Demos asked just as a massive adult mythical tiger erged from behind the tree. The fully grown beast stood nearly two ters tall, with a body length of about four ters.

"Mythical Tiger Beast, Level 99 is preparing to attack."

The system's announcent froze Peach Blossom in her tracks. The mythical tiger growled thunderously and leapt at her, furious that she had gotten too close to its cub. Demos cursed under his breath and lunged forward, pulling the girl out of the beast's reach just as its sharp claws swiped at her.

"Stay right here!"

Demos ordered firmly, setting her down before unsheathing his black sword to counter its next strike.

The clash of sword and claws rang out loudly as Demos and the mythical tiger collided. Both combatants jumped back, assessing each other after the ferocious exchange. It was clear Demos was at a disadvantage. The mythical tiger's level far outmatched his own, and with his stats already reduced from a recent death, his attacks lacked the strength they once had. Demos glanced at the shallow gash on his side that drew quite an amount of blood from him.

"Good thing it's not a beast king,"

he mumbled as the mythical tiger crouched, readying itself for another attack.

"D... Do you need help?"

Peach Blossom asked nervously. Demos, though surprised by her offer, kept his eyes locked on the beast.

"Got any attack buffs?"

"Support magic? I didn't learn any. I only have basic skills from my profession change,"

Peach Blossom admitted quietly.

"Figured as much. Just stay out of the way and don't draw more attention than ," Demos sighed before leaping into the air. He landed on the mythical tiger's back and drove his sword into its body violently. The beast roared in agony, bucking wildly in an attempt to throw Demos off.

Hearing its mother's pained cries, the mythical tiger cub jolted, hissing loudly. Peach Blossom's attention shifted from Demos to the cub, and she noticed it crouching, ready to attack Demos despite the glaring difference in their levels.

"Oh no, Kimhant. The cub is trying to attack him!"

Peach Blossom said, alard.

"Huh! Miss Peach Blossom, are you worried about him?"

Kimhant asked in shock, surprised that Demos's bold display had made the spoiled girl so concerned for him.

"Are you crazy! Who said I was worried about him? He followed us on his own. I'm worried about that little cub. If it attacks Demos and he ends up killing it, what am I supposed to do? I really like that one."

Peach Blossom hastily defended herself, giving Kimhant a solid smack on the shoulder for teasing her.

"Pfft! Your words and actions totally don't match,"

Kimhant muttered under his breath, wary of another smack as he noticed Peach Blossom's gaze lingering on Demos, the ruthless player of Adventure World Online with what looked suspiciously like concern.

"What are you mumbling about? Co on, help lure the cub over here,"

Peach Blossom snapped, dragging the reluctant Kimhant away from the fight to distract the mythical tiger cub and lead it to them.

"Yes, ma'am. Whatever the boss orders,"

Kimhant replied in resignation, his tone tinged with sarcasm toward the older girl.

Peach Blossom clicked her tongue in annoyance but let his remark slide, focusing on her plan to separate the cub from the battle. She intended not only to keep it safe but also to seize the chance to ta it as her pet. The two sneaked around to block the cub's path, trying to prevent it from joining its mother. However, the cub, blinded by anger toward Demos, did not seem to notice the pair closing in.

Snap.

Peach Blossom accidentally stepped on a dry branch, the sharp sound drawing the cub's attention imdiately. It hissed loudly and backed toward the large tree. Peach Blossom froze, realizing that if she moved closer, the cub might retreat too far and fall off the cliff.

"This isn't good, Miss Peach Blossom. It's going to fall,"

Kimhant said, his voice filled with worry.

"Back up slowly and distract it. I'll circle behind and try to grab it,"

Peach Blossom whispered a command.

"That's risky. You might fall yourself,"

Kimhant protested. But a glare from Peach Blossom silenced him, and he reluctantly obeyed.

Kimhant tossed small stones at the cub to divert its attention. The cub growled furiously and prepared to pounce on him, not noticing Peach Blossom creeping up behind it. As the cub charged at Kimhant, who stood nervously with his weapon ready, Peach Blossom leapt forward and grabbed the cub with precision.

The mythical tiger cub hissed and thrashed wildly, panicked by the sudden capture. Peach Blossom clung tightly, refusing to let go, even as the cub struggled to break free. Kimhant watched in alarm as Peach Blossom and the cub edged dangerously closer to the cliff's edge.

"Miss Peach Blossom, I think—whoa, Miss Peach Blossom!"

Kimhant's words were cut off as Peach Blossom slipped and tumbled over the edge of the cliff. The boy shouted in alarm and rushed to look down, finding her screaming at the top of her lungs in sheer terror. Despite the panic, she still clung tightly to the mythical tiger cub, even as its claws left scratch marks on her face, causing blood to trickle down.

"Mr. Demos! Miss Peach Blossom fell off the cliff. What should we do!"

Kimhant was helpless and desperate, turning to Demos for assistance. Demos, who was bloodied and battered but on the verge of defeating the level 99 mythical tiger, glanced at Kimhant in irritation. Sheathing his sword, he stalked toward the boy with a look of extre annoyance, freezing Kimhant in place with fear.

Peering over the edge of the cliff, Demos saw Peach Blossom wailing loud enough to unsettle every beast on Mount Agaz. He sighed heavily, then handed his bloodied sword to Kimhant.

"Finish it for ,"

he said curtly before leaping into the ravine after Peach Blossom, leaving Kimhant stunned, staring at the sword in his hand and the wounded mythical tiger.

"Finish it…"

Kimhant muttered, glancing nervously at the beast. Though it was on the verge of death, its level was nothing to scoff at. If he approached carelessly, it could easily take him down first.

"Better call Felon for this,"

He decided, releasing his pet from the sealing accessory. When Felon appeared, the first sound Kimhant heard was a loud stomach growl, followed by the sight of his pet looking utterly exhausted. Kimhant stared, dumbfounded, at the state of his companion. He rummaged through his bag for the food he had prepared for Felon, feeding the creature until it was rejuvenated and ready to fight.

"Felon, use Dark Fly on that thing. It looks like it still has enough strength to retaliate,"

Kimhant ordered. Felon, who had been happily patting its now-full belly, let out a resigned sigh before turning toward the mythical tiger, lying in the pool of blood. The beast's eyes glowed with malice as it glared unblinking at Felon and his master. Muttering in annoyance, Felon opened his mouth, releasing a bright burst of purple-black light. Hundreds of tiny black dots flew out, swarming the mythical tiger in seconds.

The mythical tiger roared in agony, swiping frantically at the dark specks that clung to its body, despite the injuries. Within monts, black bruises spread all over its body. The tiger's health plumted, leaving it in a comatose state. Satisfied, Kimhant patted Felon's head affectionately with a smile before approaching level 99 beast and finishing it off with ease.

As Kimhant gathered the loot from the fallen mythical tiger, Demos erged from the ravine, carrying a hysterical Peach Blossom. She was still screaming at the top of her lungs, her face and upper body covered in scratches from the cub's claws. Demos rolled his eyes in exasperation at her dramatic display. Extending his clawed hand wide, he retracted his bat-like wings, causing Peach Blossom to gape in horror. She imdiately assud he was fed up and intended to kill her.
