Violet sat down in a ss of emotions as she cradled the unconscious form of Luna in her arms. Susan besides her was panting from the exertion of healing the near fatal wounds that both Luna and Olivia had sustained.
That wasn’t even considering the sorry state that Rhyana was also in, the petite dragon girls arms were badly torn up, one arm had even been broken when she blocked the strike from the creature.
Susan had wanted to help her out too but Rhyana had refused her aid, at least until both Luna and Olivia were in better shape.
As she sat there in silence she gently stroked the hair of Luna, her head resting in Violet’s lap. Violet finally opened up the notifications that had been trying to get her attention ever since the fight ended.

Violet looked at the odd ssage detailing the victory over the Incarnation of Space in so confusion, she had never seen an opponent that had 2 apparent levels. She assud that it was maybe a stronger opponent that had been lowered in level for that boss encounter, but she was still slightly unsure.
Still Violet was happy that she had received yet another level, whilst this dungeon had turned out to be quite deadly she was unable to deny that they had already grown considerably ever since entering. It had only been a full day, yet they had already gained 5 full levels.
The speed of advancent was similar to the ti that they had delved into the elental valley so ti ago. Deciding to see exactly how far she had co Violet opened up her full status screen to look over the full extent of her gains.

Violet was quite pleased as she looked over her ever growing stats and skills, she felt like she had been forgetting so of her skills in recent tis, but at the sa ti she had beco quite comfortable in her current fighting style.
Then again it might be because of this comfort that had allowed her to get so distracted during the fight, that had caused Luna to have to jump in to save her from her own mistakes.
She suppressed the urge to growl in frustration as she rembered her mistake and the cost of doing so.
She was brought out of her musings when Susan suddenly slumped to the ground in exhaustion. She was covered in sweat and looked completely spent, thankfully it seed that she had managed to stabilise both girls to the state that their lives were no longer in an danger.
Seeing her companion slump over, Rhyana moved to be besides her, unable to to much to comfort her due to her own wounded hands.
With all of the girls in such a sorry state Violet decided that they should rest up in comfort instead of laying on the bloody sand of this arena. She summoned her hut a short distance away, gently picking up Luna on her arms. "Co on let’s rest inside, I’ll make so food for us all." Violet was forced to use telepathy as her throat was not in a good state to talk right now.
Susan took a mont, but did eventually stand on wobbly legs, using Rhyana a shoulder for support. She rasped out. "What about Olivia, we shouldn’t leave her here."
"I’ll get her once I drop off Luna inside." Violet quickly replied as she made her way inside, gently placing Luna down on one of the comfy chairs in the main room.
Violet then turned around and headed out to pick up Olivia, repeating the motions and placing the girl down on another chair next to Luna. Susan and Rhyana soon joined them, plopping down in a nearby sofa with grateful groans. Violet did notice a thin film of water already covering one of Rhyana’s arms as she made her way over the the kitchen area to cook up so food.

Luna slowly awoke, her entire body hurt sothing fierce, especially her side. She was montarily confused as to where she was, yet upon looking around she saw the familiar sight of their hut with Luna being sat down on one of the sofas. She looked around and saw that Olivia was laying nearby, still unconscious yet alive.
She noted that Rhyana and Susan were sitting across from her, half dozing off yet both looking mostly alright. Luna did notice the nasty wounds still present on both Olivia’s stomach and Rhyana’s arms, quickly assuming that Susan was unable to fully heal them all in a single go.
Then Luna noticed the sll and looked over to see Violet standing in the kitchen as she prepared so food. Luna smiled and decided to go over her notifications, smiling when she noted that she had managed to gain another level.

Luna’s was happy with how her skills and stats had grown, yet upon rembering the details of the fight that had left her in such a sorry state she shook her head, ’it’s still not enough, I have to get stronger if I want to protect everyone around .’
Her thought began to spiral as she thought over every detail of the fight, thinking on what she could have done better, how she could have avoided making so mistakes. Yet her thought were inturupted when she felt a light smack on her head.
Luna looked up in surprise to see Violet standing besides her. "Hey now, don’t go beating yourself up, you saved my life and did incredibly. I don’t think we could have won that fight if not for you." Violets ntal voice ca through clearly to Luna.
It was sincere yet filled with a hint of self deprecation, Luna easily able to pick up how Violet felt about her own performance in the battle, quickly relating it to when she froze up as Olivia was wounded.
"Fine, I won’t if you do the sa. We both feel we could have done better, yet we did our best in the mont so let’s just promise to do better going forwards, together." Luna watched as Violet smiled at her words, both girls feeling as each other emotions began to stabilise.
Violet then leant down and wrapped Luna in a hug, they stayed like that for so ti, just enjoying each others company.
Yet Luna’s nose began to twitch as she slt sothing off, she pulled back slightly and looked about in confusion for the origin of the sll. Finally she noticed a distinctive black smoke cloud drifting up from the pan that was still over the fire.
"Umm Violet, I think you food is burning." Violet froze for a mont before she whipped about in blind panic as she ran over to the kitchen in an attempt to save the food she had painstakingly cooked.
Luna chuckled to herself as she watched her companion fuss over the food, lovingly observing her companion as a wry smile pulled at her lips.
