While the entire crowd had the sa thoughts, sothing none of them expected happened, well, at least those from the Pyrmond Faction weren't too surprised by it.
Lord Dante, and the rest from the Pyro Faction were beyond stumped with what was happening. Right in Grey's palm, another one of his multicolored orbs could be seen floating quietly above his hand. It was as if it wasn't as dangerous as people sensed it to be. The sight of it is magnificent, and it does tend to make people forget that it's a very dangerous attack.
Vale and his companion couldn't believe what was happening. They only managed to survive the previous attack due to their combined effort. It's, and now, Grey was using it again. If either of them were at their peak, this attack wouldn't be an issue. But Grey has injured both of them, making them lose so of their strength.
One thing they also didn't know is that Grey would have a harder ti fighting an Eighth stage Sovereign of any other elent, so long as it's not the darkness elent. Due to having to research the darkness elent a lot after his encounter with Necromancers, his understanding of the elent is well above that of even a top Darkness Elentalist, and the orb in his body made sure that he is almost immune to anything that'll affect his body or his essence. The darkness elent's biggest threat is its ability to corrode the essence of others, making them weak as ti goes on.
Most top Darkness Elentalists, unless they know that they can squash their opponents, tend to prefer longer fights, since that's when their advantages will start to show. And the corrosive ability of the darkness elent made it a very great elent when it ca to defending oneself. It can make the attack of anyone within the sa cultivation stage or even a stage higher than a Darkness Elentalist weaker than its original strength, which is sothing that ans even if the attacks pass through their defenses, it still wouldn't be hard to deal with.
Take Grey's fusion orb for instance, the combined effort of Vale and his companion took out most of the destructive power from it, so even though they were affected by it, the impact isn't one that they can't survive.
When they first noticed that Grey isn't soone they could deal with in a short ti, the duo switched up their tactics, opting to go for a longer period.
Grey didn't seem to care as he has been the one dealing the most damage, and he's also the one who has injured both of his opponents to the dismay of the duo.
Vale looked at his companion and his face turned serious, they needed to make sure that this attack was also dealt with, as long as they survived this attack, he was certain that they would be able to beat Grey. Using such a powerful move in a row will naturally take a lot of toll on the Elentalist. Unfortunately for them, Grey's essence reserves is far above what the ordinary Sixth, Seventh, or even Eighth stage Sovereign has, hence the reason he could always fight for prolonged periods, using such big moves with no worries.
Grey looked at the duo, with the fusion orb in his hand, he looked down at the duo, and once again, he let it go. It was as if he was letting go of a flower to float down from the sky. But everyone who had seen the attack power of the fusion orb from a few minutes ago knew that it wasn't a flower, rather, it was a call from the underworld.
Most of the Seventh stage Sovereigns present didn't have even close to twenty-five percent confidence that they would be able to block this attack. Thinking about it, they realized that even if Grey loses against the duo, he's undisputedly the number one person among the Seventh stage Sovereigns, no one would dare to challenge him for this spot. Even if he loses, he'll still be ranked higher than any of them since individually, none of them could say that they were Grey's opponents.
Even most of the people in the Eighth stage who had thoughts of wanting to try their hands against Grey have given up. Seeing him use the fusion orb made them co to the realization that they were not on the sa level as Grey, and they've accepted it.
Grey didn't know that his use of the fusion orb had already planted fear in the hearts of most of the Eighth stage Sovereigns present. Dealing with the fusion orb alone is too difficult, Vale would've been defeated if he were alone. Vale's companion would also have been defeated if he were to deal with it alone. The only reason both were still standing is because of their cooperation.
Vale and his companion looked at the fusion orb with dread. They didn't want it anywhere near them. Without hesitation, the duo retreated, rushing to the edge of the platform. They didn't just retreat, they also sent out a series of attacks, even Vale's Elental Warrior was called back to help them defend against this attack.
The first fire snake Grey created was defeated just in ti by the Elental Warrior, so it was able to help out Vale and the other young man to deal with the fusion orb.
Grey created two more fire snakes, but they weren't as strong as the previous one that fought against the Elental Warrior for an extended period. He looked at the duo and still in the sky, he spread his arm and whispered under his breath, "teor descent."
The two fire snakes he created charged at Vale and his companion, while his next attack aid to not only shatter the defense created by the duo, but also take them out. Grey wanted to end the battle quickly. Vale and his companion could see this, and so could the rest of the arena.
