Grey, who was standing mid-air on the platform couldn't help but frown, turning his gaze to the direction of the Elder's area. He sensed a soft powerful ntal energy fluctuations inspecting his body, and although it was well hidden, Grey's ntal strength couldn't be compared to that of an average Elentalists, even a Ninth stage Sovereign's ntal strength isn't stronger than his own. Not only that, but he was also very vigilant, making it very hard for others to spy on him without him taking notice.
Given Lord Dante's strength, it was an exaggeration to say that even if he wanted to spy on an average peak Ninth stage Sovereign, he didn't have to fear being caught. Yet, in front of a Sixth stage Sovereign, he was actually noticed. Seeing Grey's cold gaze, he knew that the other party wasn't pleased.
Grey had no idea who it was, but after he showed his clear displeasure about being inspected in that manner, the ntal energy disappeared.
The young lady seed to notice Grey's short absentmindedness and felt a bit angered that when facing her, Grey still had ti to focus on other things.
To her, this was an insult. Her aura spiked, and a bird made from her fire elent appeared above her. The firebird spat out a ball of fla in Grey's direction.
The strength of the ball of flas couldn't be neglected, and Grey knew this very well. Without any hesitation, he sent out an attack of his own, blocking the incoming attack with an ice orb. Both attacks collided, and the impact of the attack forced Grey to take a step back and steady himself.
He didn't have the leisure ti to rest as the young lady had already sent out another attack.
Seeing things like this, Grey also knew that this wasn't the ti to lose focus. Since the ntal energy fluctuations had disappeared, it ant that he didn't need to worry about it for the ti being.
Three tornados rose up from the ground, surrounding Grey. Since he had already shown his wind elent, there was no point in not using it in this fight. If he restricted himself any further, then there's a chance he might not be able to defeat his opponent.
Although everyone already expected this, seeing him use the wind elent to create a tornado confird this. It's not that they didn't want to accept it, it was just that it was too incredulous to believe. Having three elents already places one in a very position as an Elentalists, increasing the strength of said Elentalists by at least thirty percent. Yet Grey not only has three, but he has double that, six elents in total!
The duo started their all-out attacks, shuttling through the platform at high speed. Before showing his sixth elent, Grey was almost fully suppressed by the young lady. However, with the addition of his sixth elent, he was actually able to fight almost on equal footing with the young lady, and although she had a higher attack power, Grey was just too fast. If her attacks can't cause him any harm, then it's safe to say that there's no way she would be able to defeat him.
She wasn't the only one who realized this, everyone watching this couldn't help but feel shocked. Especially these old guys, seeing Grey expertly evade most of the young lady's attacks, they felt a sense of shock. Now they understood why even though the Gnos placed a kill order on his head, he was still very much alive. His ability to escape is second to none. None of the people here believed that they could achieve what Grey was doing even if they possessed the sa elents as him.
His decision making each ti he escaped was flawless. Even so of these top experts, with the exception of those Half God Plane Elentalists, all those old Peak Sovereigns who were close to breaking through to the Half God Plane felt as if they were the ones in Grey's position, even with their current strengths, they would've been forced to take so of the young lady's attack head-on. Grey, on the other hand, was moving like a fish in water. Since he brought out his wind elent, the young lady could barely scratch a piece of his clothing, much less harm him with any of her attacks.
Grey was very relaxed as he dodged. He wasn't a master at too many things, but one thing he was very confident in was his ability to escape. If he had been caught in a life-and-death battle with this young lady, knowing that he couldn't defeat her, he would've escaped from the region already. The limited space of the platform is the reason the young lady could even still see his shadow.
While Grey was very relaxed, the sa could not be said for his opponent. The young lady was starting to show signs of frustration. No matter how she attacked, she couldn't touch Grey. Not just that, but Grey's counters were quite powerful. Her innards have been rocked a few tis, and if not for her superior strength, she would've fallen to two more of Grey's plots. After Grey's first attempt, when he used his gravitational force field, even though the young lady did most of the attack, each of Grey's attacks was difficult to deal with.
Ti went on minute by minute, and the young lady started to have a bad premonition. The truth is, after learning that it was virtually impossible for her to defeat Grey with her attacks, she went for the best option, exhausting Grey's elental essence. Most Elentalists don't dare to fight for too long for this particular reason. There's a limit to the essence in their bodies, and given their cautiousness, most Elentalists don't even face depleted essences in their lifetis.
The young lady had a higher cultivation stage than Grey, so she naturally believed she had a higher essence reserve. This was the normal way things were, and even if Grey was a heaven- defying genius, there's no way his essence reserves would be on the sa level as soone who is three minor stages above him. Even having an essence reserve on par with those one minor stage ahead of him is already a sign of a genius, and a genius among geniuses like Grey will naturally have a better essence reserve, but no one believed it would be better than the young lady's.
But as ti went on, everyone realized sothing was wrong.
