1776 Shocking Offer
Sir Astarot listened intently to Grey's questions. After listening to it, it couldn't help but look at Grey, this ti, its gaze was different. It was trying to see if there was sothing wrong with Grey. The scan took a few seconds before Sir Astarot stopped. It paused for a few seconds before asking, "Have you encountered an Ice Dragon before?"
Sir Astarot's question was out of Grey's expectations. He didn't expect that it would ask such a question. Thinking about it, he didn't know how to reply. He actually didn't know if he had seen an Ice Dragon before. He has had multiple encounters with Dragons, and he didn't know if an Ice Dragon was one of them. The only reason he didn't attribute this entirely to the Dragon Blood Essence or the other treasure he acquired from Dragons, he wouldn't have asked this question. He would've guessed that it was most likely a benefit gained from absorbing an Ice Dragon's Blood Essence.
Grey has noticed this even before absorbing the Dragon Blood Essence. It only beca more apparent after he awakened his third domain which was his water and ice domain, and that was after absorbing another Dragon related treasure. He even got Dragon scales from it, so it's understandable that he sort of thought about this often.
Sir Astarot noticed the uncertainty in Grey's eyes and frowned. It sensed sothing inside Grey, but it wasn't certain of it. What it sensed was the reason behind Grey's improved ice abilities. Unfortunately, it wasn't sure where it ca from. All it knew was that it didn't put Grey in any danger.
"It's nothing bad. Don't worry about it." Sir Astarot, although a bit curious about it, stopped thinking about it. Since even Grey didn't know if he had seen an Ice Dragon, there's no point asking any further. Besides, an Ice Dragon isn't the only entity capable of placing whatever it sensed in Grey's body. A top ice attribute expert of any race could achieve this. Of course, it wasn't ordinary and the sacrifice required made it sothing not done with ease. It's almost like when Dragons offer their blood essence to the humans from the Vaergahl Family. The thod might be the sa, but there's a little difference. Compared to using blood essence, this is actually more difficult to achieve since it requires a top expert. Almost any Magical Beast could extract their blood essence, but what was placed in Grey's body is surprisingly one's use of said elent.
To place such a thing in soone else, an expert's use of their said elent must be top tier, and they should still be able to impact it on others. Being able to impact one's knowledge to others is another form of strength.
What Sir Astarot sensed in Grey's body was simply an expert's knowledge of ice abilities. And since it's just ice abilities, the chances of it being placed there by a Magical Beast are very high. Humans, unlike Magical Beasts, have both the water and ice abilities combined with their water elent, but Magical Beasts have ice and water abilities separately. The reason Sir Astarot asked if Grey had t an Ice Dragon is that since it was a Magical Beast, it believed that only Magical Beasts could achieve such a feat due to their uniqueness.
Grey was taken aback when he saw that even Sir Astarot didn't know the reason. He had asked his parents about this soti back after reuniting with them. His mother was the one who had a higher chance of knowing the reason, but she didn't know the reason for this. Neither did she sense anything amiss. She just felt that Grey was better at manipulating his ice ability better than his water elent. There are people like that, and the Lyttelton Family, which she's from, is one of them. She even felt that the reason Grey turned out like this after getting his water elent was purely due to her being a mber of the Lyttelton Family.
The Lyttelton Family is known not only for their prowess with inscriptions but also for their ice abilities. The Lyttelton Family is a well-known water elent family. Not just that, but they were well-known for their ice abilities.
Grey didn't know what to say. Since even Sir Astarot didn't know the reason for this, then there was nothing he could do. He knew when his ice abilities started to overshadow his water abilities. Hence, he was sure that it wasn't sothing that just happened, rather, sothing stimulated it. What he wanted to know was what caused it.
Unbeknownst to him, what his parents didn't find inside him was sensed by Sir Astarot, but it didn't have any idea as to what it was, and knowing that it wasn't going to cause any harm to Grey, it didn't bother with it. After all, Grey had been alive for so long and had almost even fully refined whatever it was, so what was the point of worrying over it now that he had absorbed more than eighty percent of it?
"Is this what you wanted to discuss with ?" Grey asked. Other than asking him if he refined a Dragon's Blood Essence, Sir Astarot hadn't said anything else. If this was all Sir Astarot wanted to discuss with him, then how was he going to benefit from it?
Sir Astarot told his father that he would only gain benefits from this, yet he hadn't seen anything that was of any benefit to him.
Sir Astarot chuckled when it heard this. It didn't expect that after it asked Grey a question, Grey also had a question for it. Due to not being able to answer Grey's question, it hadn't told Grey anything else.
"Naturally not." It replied before asking, "How would you like to enter the secret world?"
"The one you're opening for the Inner Court's geniuses?" Grey didn't expect this. He thought that whatever Sir Astarot wanted to give you him would be given to him directly. He didn't expect him to speak about the secret world.
