Chapter 1869: All-Powerful Klaus II
Bang!
A body dropped to the ground.
Flying in the sky was Klaus in his spotless silver robes. His gaze turned sharp as he turned around and shot in a certain direction.
A few minutes later, outside a cave in the forest.
Klaus appeared at the entrance of the cave, he closed his eyes for a few seconds before nodding his head and going into the cave. The cave was not particularly big, and imdiately he entered, he sensed sothing rapidly attacking from the side of the cave, aid at his head. Reacting quickly, he created an ice veil while he tried to retreat, in hopes of creating so distance between him and whoever was attacking him.
The direction he intended to run to was imdiately enveloped by a dark fog and before Klaus realized it, he was trapped in the middle of the dark fog. The second he inhaled the fog, his vision beca blurry, but with a shake of his head and biting the tip of his tongue, he was able to quickly regained his senses, just in ti to see the Gno appearing in front of him and sending out a palm strike filled with the darkness essence his. Knowing how corrosive the darkness elent was, he did not dare to allow this palm to hit him.
An ice wall rose from the ground to stop the Gno’s palm strike. The second the Gno’s palm which was covered with the darkness elent made contact with the ice wall, instead of destroying it as expected, the powerful corrosiveness of the darkness elent ca to play as the part where the palm touched started to corrode away.
“Once you’re dead, I’ll make good use of you.” The Gno did not see Klaus surviving his current attack. When he figured out he could not escape Klaus’ clutches, he devised a plan, and he did not think that Klaus would easily fall for it.
Klaus did not reply to the Gno’s words, only doing his best to ensure he was not struck by the Gno’s palm. Behind him, the Seventh stage Puppet that launched the initial sneak attack on him attacked once again.
The Puppet’s sudden attack flustered Klaus for a brief second, but he quickly regained his composure, and with him at the center, water spread out in all directions. The small cave was quickly filled with water.
Klaus used the opportunity to try to freeze the Puppet, but the Puppet glowed brilliantly as a burst of flas appeared around it, pushing the water away. Not just it, but the flas helped the Gno who was struggling to escape from the water.
The fog made from the darkness elent was dealt with by the water. Achieving his aim, Klaus waved his hand and forced the water away from the cave.
Standing opposite the Gno, he did not show any panic or fear in his eyes, just contempt.
Seeing Klaus’ gaze, the Gno felt a little nervous, he asked, “Why did you co after ?”
A smile appeared on Klaus’ face as he said matter-of-factly, “Obviously because you’re the only one left alive.”
The Gno was shaken when he heard this, although he could guess that Klaus hunted down the others, given how quickly Klaus chased after him, he felt at least a few of them were able to escape and pass the information of Klaus’ performance to their stronger experts so they would know to deal with him. If he knew that before he even went within a hundred ters away from the Town almost all those below the Sovereign Plane were dead, he would be shocked by Klaus’ efficiency.
“The reason you’re still alive is not because I can’t kill you, but I want to know, the passage you used to co to my world, where is it located?”
Klaus’ question made the Gno realize Klaus why although it seed like Klaus was defending in a flustered manner, he did not try to launch a counter. Fear flashed through his eyes, but looking at the Puppet by his side, he shook his head and cald his mind.
Klais waited for the Gno to speak, but seeing him remain silent, a grin appeared on his face, “Hehe, I was never expecting you to willingly tell .”
After Klaus finished his statent, his smiling face had been replaced by a nacing one, and just the sight of it scared the Gno out of his wits.
Boom!
Both Klaus and the Gno attacked at the sa ti. The Gno, with the help of his Puppet, managed to hold out for a few seconds, but within a minute, Klaus took control of the fight. Alone, this Gno along with his Puppet would never be able to threaten him. Klaus might not be as powerful as Grey, but with his current strength, he was confident there were very few Eighth stage Sovereigns who could defeat him, this was including those from the older generations. If he was willing to push himself to the limit, he was sure that he could even defeat so Ninth stage Sovereigns. His short stay at the Crescent Moon Faction saw his strength improve greatly, even more than he expected. Thinking of his unwillingness to go at first, he could not help but thank the Faction Leader for forcing him to take part in the trip.
The Gno’s Puppet was the first to be incapacitated by Klaus, using a thin ice needle, he was able to slowly turn the Puppet into an ice sculpture. This was a technique he acquired back in the Trial Lands while they were still in the Lunar Academy, and till date, it was still one of his strongest and most fatal moves.
The Gno, seeing that his Puppet was about to be fully turned into an ice sculpture could not accept it, gritting his teeth, he made a decisive decision. Detonating the Puppet.
These Puppets were always made in ways that the owners could make them self-destruct at crucial tis, taking advantage of it to either kill their enemy or to escape. In this case, the Gno knew the self-destruction of his Puppet would not be able to kill Klaus, but he was hoping it would be enough to slow him down so he would have the chance to escape.
The expected explosion did not happen, taking the Gno unaware. He soon found the reason for this as he looked at Klaus’ direction.
It is not that the Puppet did not explode, but the explosion was contained by a strange extra deep bluish water. The water looked a little different from normal water, and just the sight of it felt like a huge mountain pressing down on his body.
“What’s that?!” He exclaid in disbelief. This was the first ti he was witnessing sothing like this. After all, even the Gnos have Water Elentalists among their ranks, and so of them were top experts. This Gno might not be the strongest, but he was quite old and had read about a lot of things.
“Oh this?” Klaus ford a ball of the sa dark bluish water in front of him.
The Gno nodded his head at the sight of the ball of water.
“It’s just sothing I found a few years back.” Klaus chuckled as he explained, seeing the curiosity in the eyes of the Gno, a smile appeared on his face as he asked, “Do you want to learn about it? If you tell what I want to know, I don’t mind telling you what this is.”
“It’s like the power of the deep sea. But how is it possible to harness the power of the deep sea?” The Gno did not reply to Klaus, muttering to himself instead.
The Gno almost imdiately figuring out this was heavy water took Klaus by surprise, but recalling how old these guys were, he did not expect it to be too hard for him to figure it out.
“Just tell where the passage is and I’ll make it quick.” Klaus said, bringing the Gno out of his train of thought.
“If you think I will tell you where the passageway is, then you must be a fool. If you want to kill , kill and get it over with.” The Gno stated coldly. It knew escape was out of the picture with his Puppet out of the picture.
“Hehe, it’s more fun when you don’t talk from the start.”
With an evil grin on his face, Klaus moved closer to the Gno.
Horrifying shrieks rang out in the forest from ti to ti, coming from a small cave. The shrieks frightened everything within a two kiloters radius, making most of the Magical Beasts, and humans who ventured this deep into this forest to retreat from this area.
About an hour later.
Klaus walked out of the cave with a satisfied smile on his face, his silver robes still spotless. Inside, the Gno could be seen impaled by tiny needles all over his body. There were no signs of blood, but the eyes of the Gno was lifeless, and one could see the pain and fear in them.
