Chapter 1920: Chaotic Battlefield IV
Grey and Chris’s actions in the battlefield did not go unnoticed, and soon they were swamped by more Gnos, three in the Ninth stage and eight in the Eighth and Seventh stage. This was the first ti both Grey and Chris were actively fighting together, and their coordination was exceptional, it was almost as if they had been fighting together for ages. Both Grey and speed were frighteningly quick, evading most of the attacks sent their way.
Grey’s space elent made them impossible to fight against when crowded, especially when there were weaker Gnos in the midst of the Gnos that surrounded them. Although they were in danger having to fight more Gnos, attracting the attention of so many Gnos reduced the pressure on the other Peak Sovereigns that ca with them. From what Grey could tell, one of the Peak Sovereigns that ca with them was dead, and one looked to be on the verge of death, even if the Peak Sovereign did not have to engage in any more battles, his chances of survival was still almost zero.
The number of Gnos that was rapidly reducing due to Grey and Chris’s efforts suddenly saw a massive boost as two Peak Sovereigns suddenly joined the battle.
When the duo ca, they did not attack Grey or Chris, rather, they went for the Peak Sovereigns who were already having a hard ti. They could tell Grey and Chris were difficult to deal with because of their speed, so they opted to kill the other Peak Sovereigns first and then deal with the duo with their superior numbers. As long as the Half God Plane Gnos managed to keep the Half God Plane experts from the Human Race at bay, then they did not have to worry about their safety.
Grey and Chris noticed the appearance of the newly arrived Peak Sovereign Gnos, unfortunately, there was nothing they could do. The mont the two Gnos appeared, four other Ninth stage Sovereigns rushed to their side, further increasing the pressure on them.
Before the four Gnos arrived, Grey and Chris tried to take out one of the three Ninth stage Sovereigns they were dealing with. A failed attempt as the Gnos were cautious. After seeing Grey switch places with any Gno of his choice except the trio at the Ninth stage, they stopped gathering in one place, each giving the other at least a thirty ters gap. Although thirty ters is sothing an expert of their level could cover in the space of a quarter of a second, that ti was enough for them to react to any sudden attacks.
Grey and Chris only managed to kill two Eighth stage Sovereign Gnos before they were forced to continuously retreat by the newly arrived Gnos.
Chris could tell the situation was getting too dangerous, informing Grey, he hurriedly tried to escape from the encirclent. Grey did the sa, hoping they would be able to rush over to the side of the remaining Peak Sovereigns from their side and leverage on their strength.
The Gnos saw this and scoffed, there was no way they would allow the duo escape from their encirclent. The reason they ca here was to take down Chris and Grey who had beco a thorn on their sides.
Blocked, Chris and Grey were forced into the middle of the encirclent, with the Gnos not drawing closer. They knew of Grey’s ability to switch places with anyone, so the Ninth stage Sovereign Gnos were behind the Seventh and Eighth stage Sovereigns, sending them forward.
“This is bad, do you have any other tricks?” Chris asked while trying to catch his breath. Even with his speed, against so many opponents, he did not have anything he could do against them. If he put his life on the line, then escaping was not out of the question, only he would most likely suffer serious injuries in the attempt, and there was also Grey. He could not even accept the thought of leaving his Student behind much less even going through with it.
Grey studied the whole situation and his expression turned serious, “We just need to hang on for a bit, Void and Klaus are not far from here.”
On the way here, he noticed he could contact Void, so he inford Void about their mission. Void relayed the ssage to Klaus who decided to rush here to help. Grey could not stop them from helping, and when he saw the number of Gnos present, he felt they made a mistake coming here without sufficient manpower. To be honest, he thought the Half God Plane Elentalists that ca with them would be able to deal with the few Half God Plane experts from the Gno Race, only after the battle started did he realize they made a massive mistake.
They thought there would be at most two Half God Plane Gnos, however, from how all seven Half God Plane Elentalists were still engaged in battle since they arrived, it ant the Gnos had already sent in more than two Half God Plane experts, sothing that was out of their expectations.
“Void, that strange cat of yours?” Chris was surprised that help was coming, well, looking at their situation, Klaus and Void might not be of much help, after all, he did not think any of them was as strong of himself or Grey. If they were not as strong as them, then joining the battle would not change much.
Grey nodded, seeing his Teacher’s skeptical look, he explained, “Don’t worry about them, with Void around, Klaus would not be in any danger. There’s also the Bunny Leader.”
Chris wanted to say sothing but decided to keep quiet, the duo were already on their way here, and he did not have the luxury to think about the safety of those who had not even joined the battlefield yet.
As Grey and Chris focused on defending, a pained scream was abruptly cut short. Taking a look in that direction, they noticed another Peak Sovereign had fallen.
