Chapter 1948: Act Of Desperation

Grey looked at the Gno as if he was staring at a fool. Did the Gno really think if he pleaded for his life then they would let him go and not kill him?

“Klaus was right, Gnos really are dumb.” Grey did not speak in a low tone, so the Gno heard his words.

“Boy, do not force my hand. You might have the advantage, but I’m confident I can take one of you down with .” The Gno said through gritted teeth. He could tell there was no reasoning with Grey, so he was inclined to go with threats. To be honest, a Peak Gno like himself could indeed drag one of the two with him if he forgoes his own safety. In this battle, he would not win anyway, so he would feel better knowing he takes soone with him.

The Gno thought his threat would scare Grey or the Man, to his surprise, neither of them budged, acting like the Gno’s words were gibberish.

The Man looked at Grey’s direction, not making a move. After switching places with Grey once, he wanted to use that strategy in attacking. The unpredictability of not knowing who was attacking would not only make it safer for himself, it would also an there would be no way the Gno could deal with one without the other interfering. To a certain extent, the Man felt more confident in letting Grey lead.

Seeing the Man give him the initiative, Grey did not waste ti, raising his hand, a three-colored fusion orb appeared.

Both the Man and Gno were astounded by the sight of the orb, they could tell it was a combined attack of three elents, what they did not understand was how Grey was able to achieve sothing like this. Everyone knew of reinforcing one elent with another, just like how Grey’s flas were strengthened when the Man’s tornado enveloped the Gno and the Snake made from flas. This however, was different from that, all three elents were in perfect harmony and strengthened each other. They could sense the explosive power it contained as well.

Grey’s very first move was already almost equivalent to a Peak Sovereign’s attack, a sign that he wanted the Gno dead as soon as possible.

The fusion orb was sent the Gno’s way, forcing him to react. The Gno might look worn out due to his appearance, but he was still a Peak Sovereign, one that stood at the very peak even among Peak Sovereigns. There was no way he was going down without a fight.

Taking out a disc, he threw it up and a bright light appeared, covering the Gno with a golden sphere.

Bang!

The fusion orb crashed into the sphere, making it shake. The sphere did not show any signs of cracking after being hit by this attack. Grey knew a three-colored fusion orb would not be enough to deal with the Gno.

As soon as his attack struck, the Man made a move, stabbing his spear forward. The spear was covered by wind essence, its tip frighteningly sharp as it stabbed at the golden sphere.

The Gno knew even though Grey’s attack did not cause any damage, the sphere had not recovered from it, if it was struck by this spear, it would fall apart.

The golden sphere glowed brightly and arrows appeared around it, shooting out to et the attack of the Man.

Bang!

Both attacks connected, causing an explosion. Before the dust died down, Grey and the Man attacked simultaneously.

The Gno moved from where he was standing, flying into the air to et the duo’s attacks while still covered by the golden sphere. The sphere beca brighter as it faced more attacks.

‘Why does that thing act like it has a mind of its own?’ Grey pondered as he continued his attacks. His curiosity towards the sphere did not slow down his attacks in any way. He just found the sphere odd, especially given the fact that he could sense imnse light essence in it. This thing was made from pure light essence.

According to what he knew about Gnos, it was impossible for them to have the light elent due to the effect it had on their bodies. They were heavily restrained by the light elent, so seeing a Gno make use of sothing made from the light elent was quite bizarre.

Boom! Bam! Bang!

The fight intensified as Grey and the Man did not relent with their attacks, using more ferocious attacks. Grey even employed the use of a four-colored fusion orb, finally getting a reaction from the golden sphere.

When the Gno noticed this, he panicked and tried to attack Grey in a bid to take him down.

Grey knew he could not take the attack of the Gno, imdiately switching places with the Man, he escaped from Gno’s attack range before unleashing an attack of his own.

The Gno was getting frustrated as the battle prolonged. As the Gno’s frustration continued building up, the Man’s amazent of the space elent was growing stronger and stronger.

‘Space Elentalists are too slippery. Now wonder they are known as the greatest in terms of movent techniques’ He thought to himself. Just Grey’s ability to switch places without a companion in battle is enough to turn the tide of any battle, much less one that they have the complete advantage.

Three minutes after the golden sphere appeared, it started to flicker, a sign that it was about to be exhausted. The Gno was bleeding from his eyes, mouth, nose, and ears. Keeping this thing up for so long required a terrifying amount of energy, and he had to reinforce it to make sure Grey’s four-colored fusion orbs did not shatter it. It had cracked repeatedly from Grey’s attacks, and he has had to expend more energy to fix it. Now, his vision had beco blurry from losing too much blood.

Grey and the Man knew they were about to attain victory. He told the Man to help him stall the Gno as he prepared to create a five-colored fusion orb.

The mont he started the process, the Gno sensed the massive wave of essence gathering towards Grey, as he looked in that direction, he saw five different elental essence gathering on Grey’s palm. When Grey made the four-colored fusion orb, he noticed this as well, only it took a shorter ti to form so he did not witness the procedure. Seeing this, he beca flustered. A four-colored fusion orb was able to crack the golden sphere, he was a hundred percent certain if Grey made a five-colored fusion orb he would be dood.

‘Damm it! Damn it! I have to stop him!’ He could not allow Grey to continue whatever he was doing, if Grey did, he would die for sure.

His aura wavered as he stumbled mid-air, almost crashing to the ground. Looking at the Man and the Grey who was preparing, he knew this was his last chance, if he did not give it his all, then he would lose his life here without even being able to drag any of them with him, much less having the chance to escape.

The Gno’s body suddenly enlarged, becoming even larger than a normal Human, standing at almost three ters, the Gno was a completely different being. His aura even seed to have partially broken the barrier of the Peak of the Sovereign Plane. Not just that, even his appearance saw a change, from an old-looking Gno, he beca very young, almost like a Gno in their mid-twenties.

“I’ll make sure I absorb your blood to make up for my sacrifice.” His voice was cold and grating.

The Man’s facial expression turned sour when he saw this, he transmitted his voice to Grey, ‘Hurry, he’s burning his life essence, I can’t deal with him like this.’

The Man knew his strength, unless he was ready to pay the sa price as the Gno, there was no way he would be able to stop the Gno. As much as he would like to see the Gno dead, if he tried to emulate the Gno’s actions, the consequences would be dire and he might not only be unable to further advance his cultivation, there was even a chance it might even regress. Unless he had no choice, he would not try to attempt this.

Sensing the hesitation from the Man, the Gno laughed maniacally, “Stupid Humans, your selfishness will be your undoing.”

After saying this, the Gno did not bother with the Man and charged at Grey. He could tell the Man did not want to face him at the mont, since that was the case, he had to quickly deal with Grey. Grey has been like a thorn on his side since he arrived in the Human World, now that he had the chance, of course he was not going to waste it.

Grey coldly stared at the approaching Gno, his eyes unwavering.
