Chapter 1995: Intense Fight
Even after using multiple teleportation arrays, Grey still clearly felt the eyes still locked on him which terrified him. At this mont, he was starting to feel more and more confident he was being targeted by a Half God Plane. There was no other explanation for how he was locked onto all the way from the building so kiloters away from the Capital City to over hundreds of kiloters away from the Capital City.
Given the current distance, he did not feel it was probable for even a Half God Plane to still be targeting him, unless said Half God Plane was using his teleportation arrays to follow him. Although he was confident no one else except for him could use his teleportation arrays, he did not know the full extent of Half God Plane experts’ abilities, so he did not take out the possibility that they were able to make use of it.
After arriving a little over a few tens of thousands kiloters away from the Royal Capital almost an entire day later, the feeling of being watched slowly started to reduce, which gave him so sort of relief. Of course, this did not an it stopped, it only reduced significantly.
Void and the Bunny Leader appeared before him in a cave they just teleported to.
“Do you still sense it?” He asked the duo. Seeing them nod, he frowned.
“What could it be?” He asked.
“I have no idea, but it’s nothing good for you.” Void replied.
The Bunny Leader agreed with Void’s words, making Grey’s frown grow even deeper.
“What if we can’t escape it?” The Bunny Leader asked.
“I don’t think whoever it is wants to attack. If they wanted to, they would have done so already.” Grey shook his head, a little confused. Whoever this person was has been observing him for an entire day, and even after crossing a few thousands of kiloters, he could still feel the gaze, albeit weaker than before, it was still there which ant the person still knew exactly where he was.
“The sooner we return the better for us.” Void said. He did not like the feeling of having his every action being under scrutiny. This was the feeling he was getting at the mont from knowing that soone was watching their every move. Whoever it is might have not attacked yet, that does not an they might not attack in the future, so since they still had the opportunity to leave, it was best they take it.
Grey nodded, although he would like to find out who this person was, he did not feel any sense of safety at all. He could feel a sense of crisis washing over him the longer he stayed here. Not wanting to doubt his intuition, he decided to rush back to where the Principal and the others were located. He had been moving in zigzags with the teleportation arrays over the past few hours so as not to give whoever was spying on him the chance to predict the direction he was headed. He thought he would be able to lose the person after a few tries, never did he think that other than slightly reducing the feeling of being watched, the feeling did not go away at all. Clearly, no matter what he did, there was no way for him to throw off this feeling of being watched.
Feeling frustrated, he rushed in the direction of the Principal and the others, he would leave the Gno World now that he still had the chance. He originally intended to make use of the fusion orbs he had prepared to cause havoc in Velin City before leaving, but from the looks of things, he did not have the luxury to do what he had in mind.
….
The Azure Continent.
Klaus and the others were engaged in an intense battle. It has been a few days since they escorted the troops here, and after the first day of fighting, but parties retreated. The Commander who was a Peak Sovereign killed his opponent, the sa went for Reynolds whose opponent was not too difficult to deal with, at least when he was in his rged state with his Elental Warrior.
Klaus seriously wounded the silver robbed Gno, while the Fifth stage Sovereign Gno fighting against Hugh retreated when he realized they were no match for the Humans. With the top experts being defeated, the outco of the army was almost sealed. More than eighty percent of them lost their lives in the fight, and if not for the sacrifice of the Seventh stage Sovereign who was battling with Alice, they would have been completely wiped out.
Klaus was not unscathed from the battle. After fighting in such a reckless manner, he too was injured in the battle. Luckily, his defense was superior to most people in the sa cultivation stage, so he had no problems with fighting again.
They were currently fighting against so familiar faces, with the exception of the black robbed Gno who lost his life as well as the Sixth stage Sovereign who Reynolds killed, the Seventh stage Sovereign as well as the silver robbed Gno was present, both with pale faces which proved they had not fully recovered from the injuries of the last battle. They had reinforcents this ti, with two additional Ninth stage Sovereigns. One of them even had a Peak Sovereign Puppet, putting massive pressure on the Commander.
Klaus went after the silver robbed Gno once again.
“I didn’t expect you would co again after running with your tails between your legs the last ti.” Klaus sneered when facing his opponent.
The silver robbed Gno did not try to talk back to Klaus, he was humiliated by the outco of the battle the last ti. His opponent was only a Seventh stage Sovereign, yet he was injured by the latter. Even though he also injured him, he did not think that should be the outco of their battle.
Klaus spat in disdain when he saw how the Gno was reacting, making the expression of the Gno to contort in anger.
The Gno not wanting to waste any ti, attacked. His Puppet was no longer usable after the last battle. Klaus froze the Puppet, not just that, he forcefully sealed it in his storage ring. The Gno tried repeatedly to get his Puppet back, but failed repeatedly. Klaus’s seal was just too strong.
The Gno wanted nothing more than to strip Klaus’s flesh from his bones piece by piece.
Klaus smirked seeing the attacking Gno, before doing sothing the Gno never expected. Instead of dodging, he stood in the sa spot with his hands crossed, giving the Gno a feeling like he did not put him in his eyes.
Incensed, the Gno increased the strength of his attack, wanting to take Klaus’s life with this one move. Since his opponent foolishly gave him the opportunity, he would naturally capitalize on it.
Just as the attack was about to land on Klaus, a bluish white figure appeared before Klaus. The figure was around the size of a Human, only, this figure was completely frozen. It was none other than the Gno’s Puppet he forcefully took away during the last battle. Now, faced against the Gno again, he brought out the Puppet to use it as a shield against the Gno’s attack.
Noticing his Puppet, the Gno’s eyes turned bloodshot, but he did not withdraw his attack in any way. Having an Eighth stage Sovereign Puppet was quite difficult, be that as it may, he would rather kill Klaus with just sacrificing the Puppet than give the latter the opportunity to take advantage of him.
Klaus, already expecting this did not show any look of surprise, letting the attack slam into the frozen Puppet in front of him while moving to the side to make sure he was not hit by the attack.
The Gno, predicting this launched another attack.
Klaus pushed his water essence, creating an ice wall befoee him.
Kacha!
The sound of sothing breaking rang in his ear, turning to the side, he saw the Puppet being destroyed from the Gno’s attack. Sneering, the launched a series of ice spikes at the Gno.
The Gno knew how difficult it was to deal with Klaus’s ice, so the instant he saw it coming, he hurriedly retreated, evading the ones he could, while blocking the rest.
Klaus’s attack did not stop there, he continued his assault, making sure to target a large area, blocking the Gno’s escape route.
The Gno, even though having the higher cultivation was forced into a passive state from the start of the battle. After his initial attack which shattered his Puppet, he has been dodging one attack after another. Other than that, he could sense the temperature plumtting around him. This was not the first ti he was faced with such a situation. In fact, this was the biggest hurdle he faced the last ti, the sudden drop in temperature.
