Capítulo 2001: In Danger?
The silver robbed Gno licked his lips at the potential new Puppet he was about to acquire. He had faced off against Klaus on a few occasions and knew just how terrifying this Human boy was. Taking his lower cultivation into account proved that he was a genius even among many other geniuses. Now that he was getting such a great Puppet, he could not help smiling from ear to ear.
Preparing himself, he shut out any distractions and sent a thread of his ntal Energy into the dead body.
“What’s happening, why isn’t it working?” The silver robbed Gno frowned.
He tried to refine Klaus’s already cold body but found it unresponsive. Generally speaking, as soon as the Human body dies, Gnos are able to send their ntal Energy into the body to form a connection between them. Although it is not a simple process, the first step is usually the easiest. Yet for so reason, the silver robbed Gno was finding it simply impossible to achieve this first step. There was no way a dead Human body would be able to resist his attempt to form the initial connection.
He spread out his ntal Sense and confird once again that the Human before him was indeed dead and there was no form of life coming from him. Calming himself, he once again sent out the thread of ntal Energy into the body, as he weaved a simple set of hand seals this ti around. He felt there must have been so issues during his first attempt, so he used the secret technique in this try. The attempt ended in the sa way; futile.
‘What is happening?!’ The Gno scowled internally. This was the first ti he was getting a corpse that harnessed such amazing potential, yet he kept failing in his attempts to try to create a connection between them. If he fails to do so, then it is impossible for him to make it his Puppet.
He tried once again, and failed, he tried again, also failing. He repeated the sa process over and over again in a matter of minutes, all ending the sa way.
‘Could it be that he has sothing in his body that is stopping from creating a connection?’ The silver robbed Gno pondered. To be honest, there are techniques that can be employed that have the ability to make it difficult to turn people into puppets. Over the thousands of years of existence of the Gno Race, they have encountered so masters that after their demise, it was impossible to turn their corpses into Puppets. Even when the Half God Plane experts took action, they still failed to create a connection between these corpses.
Facing repeated failed attempts, the silver robbed Gno felt Klaus might be in the sa category. Given how powerful he was even though he was still a Seventh stage Sovereign, it is not impossible that he was from a powerful Force that used such a technique on him in case he fell into such a situation.
The silver robbed Gno grunted in displeasure, after sacrificing so much, he thought he would be rewarded with turning Klaus into a Puppet. Now that things were not looking positive for him, his displeasure and frustration was clearly visible. The only silver lining is that he killed off one of the Humans’ growing geniuses. It was easy to tell that Klaus was still very young, and given enough ti, he was bound to beco a pillar of the Human Race in the near future. The war between both Worlds is certain to last for a few years at least. It has been ongoing for so years now, and it will continue for a few more years. If soone of Klaus’s potential is allowed to grow in that few years, he might turn out to beco a problem later on.
He decided to give it a try one more ti, if he fails, then he did not mind going for their main plan, which was to take Hugh away.
He was about to send out a thread of his ntal Sense when he suddenly felt his heart throb. Filled with a sense of danger, he turned around to look where the threat of death was coming from. Unlike Klaus whose senses were impeded when in the darkness domain, the silver robbed Gno had no such limitations. He was the owner of the domain and could naturally sense his surroundings, this is the reason he was not afraid Klaus’s companions would be able to help Klaus because he knew they were occupied.
Looking around, he saw no one coming his way. If that is the case, then where was the sense of danger he was feeling coming from?
It was at this mont he heard a subtle ‘ba dum’ sound. It was almost inaudible as even sound was swallowed up in his darkness domain. Yet, he was a hundred percent certain he heard that sound. It was like the beating of heart.
He turned his gaze to Klaus’s cold corpse, inspecting it from head to toe, and he sensed nothing from it. He was once again overwheld with the feeling of danger, all his hairs standing on edge. He hastily turned around again, trying to pinpoint where the feeling of danger was coming from, ending up with nothing once again.
At the sa ti, he heard the ‘ba dum’ sound, only this ti, it was not as subtle as the first ti. The sound did not stop like the first ti, it sounded again, and again slowly taking the rhythmic sound of a beating heart.
The silver robbed Gno’s gaze darted around, before finally resting on the body of Klaus that was before him. When his eyes landed on the body, he finally realized where the threat of death was coming from, because the mont he laid his eyes on Klaus’s supposed corpse, he felt the sa scalp-tingling fear he felt a few seconds ago.
Without hesitation, he struck out at the body. He did not know what was happening with the body, but his best option now was to destroy it.
