Grey and the others quickly mobilized the troop and rushed in the direction of the Gnos' camp.
On the side of the Gnos.
Four Gnos could be seen sitting with a dark expression, having a discussion.
"Can't the Grand Elder send any more help?" One dressed in silver robes asked. He was none other than the silver robbed Gno Klaus had been fighting with over the past days or so. His face was currently slightly pale, and occasionally a cold chill would be released from his body. It was evident that he was suffering from a strange cold.
The other Gnos looked in his direction before one with a scar on his face snorted coldly, "If not for your incompetence we would not be in such a state."
"You've seen how strange that Human boy is, even you were helpless against him, why are you blaming ?!" The silver robbed Gno asked coldly, enraged by his companion's words.
"How could you fail to kill a Seventh stage Sovereign?" The Gno did not back down.
"Why are you acting like I'm the only one who failed to kill a Seventh stage Sovereign kid? My opponent is currently an Eighth stage Sovereign, we can't say the sa for your brother over there who has failed to kill a Seventh stage Sovereign even after so many encounters." The silver robbed Gno showed no weakness.
Of the original group of Ninth stage Sovereigns that were stationed in this camp, he was the only one left alive. The other three were transferred here after they suffered losses at the hands of Klaus and the others. The Ninth stage Sovereign bickering with him was the one fighting against the Commander. He had lost both his arms, and he still has not recovered from that injury, if not for his Puppet, he would have been dead by now during the last clash with the Commander of the Human army. It was during the last clash that he had this injury on his face. He was naturally not pleased with the fact that the silver robbed Gno got them involved with such a battle that has cost him so much when the silver robbed Gno was not facing any life-threatening dangers other than this strange cold.
Sadly, whenever he brings up the incompetence of the silver robbed Gno, the silver robbed Gno always brings up the situation of the other Ninth stage Sovereign who was battling against Reynolds who was still very much a Seventh stage Sovereign.
"That Human is a High grade Summoner, you know just how powerful their summons are. He is even stranger than the other High grade Summoners I've heard about, he can rge with his Summon for so reason." The Ninth stage Sovereign, who was Reynolds's opponent, spoke up.
"It doesn't change the fact that you can't deal with a Seventh stage Sovereign. Why do you not get bugged by it but then I do?" The silver robbed Gno snorted coldly.
They soon fell into an argunt, and in the process of arguing, they all paused and turned in a certain direction. Their dark expression turned even darker at the realization of what was happening.
Previously, they were the ones who attacked the Humans at will. Unfortunately, the situation has been reversed over the past few days as the Humans would co to harass them almost everyday now. What was worse is that the Humans no longer even co with their army, only the Sovereigns co over.
Since that hateful Human broke through to the Eighth stage of the Sovereign Plane, he has been coming more and more often. The previous day, they even ca twice, filling the hearts of the Gnos with rage. There was nothing they could do except accept this hateful situation and battle with them. They have been trying to get reinforcents over the past day or so, but their superiors turned a deaf ear after they found out the Humans did not bring any reinforcents, besides, they still had a lot of camps to deal with.
Gritting their teeth, the Gnos flew out of their tent and rushed in the direction of the aura of the Humans. The Fifth stage Sovereign Gno also stepped out at this mont, rushing after them. His life has been very difficult these past few days. He was by no ans Hugh's opponent, and with every battle, his injuries grew greater. He had also injured his opponent on a few occasions, only to see an energized opponent the very next day. He was also on the verge of going mad. If not for the fact that he could not run away, he would have done that already.
Standing mid-air, a few kiloters from the Gnos' camp, Grey, Klaus, Reynolds, Alice, and Hugh stood side by side.
Grey had a calm expression on his face, staring at the approaching auras of the Gnos. Even before they got close, he could sense that sothing was wrong. When he recalled what Klaus said, he could not help but click his tongue. The auras of these Gnos were weak and faltering, clearly a sign that they have been injured. Other than two who were still robust, the rest were quite weak.
When the five Gnos appeared in front of them, Grey took his ti to study them. When his gaze landed on the silver robbed Gno, a look of shock flashed across his eyes. He could sense the strong cold causing havoc in the silver robbed Gno's body, and the only person who could achieve sothing like this was none other than Klaus.
Giving Klaus a sidelong glance he comnted, "You sure have made his life terrible."
"Hehe, I was practicing with him after breaking through. It's not my fault he is so weak." Klaus replied with a proud grin.
There has been nothing that could make him smile during the past weeks, but since getting the ssage Grey had returned with his father, he regained his usual cheerfulness. Nevertheless, he still felt the urgency to grow stronger as that was the only way he could ensure his father was protected. Since he just broke through to the Eighth stage of the Sovereign Plane, the best choice was to engage in repeated battle, and doing it with soone like the silver robbed Gno who was quite powerful was quite beneficial to him. In only a few days, he has not only consolidated his new strength, but he also noticed that he had gained full control over it and was able to do more.
In the end, battles were the best way to grow stronger as an Elentalist.
"Where is the Commander?" The Gno with a scar on his face asked warily.
"As you can see, he was replaced. Since we have been bullying you guys all this while, we decided it was best we send him sowhere else to assist." Klaus replied with a grin.
His smiling face made the Gnos feel irritated, being told to their faces that they were being bullied by their opponents was nothing short of a disgrace, unfortunately there was nothing they could do.
"You filthy brat, if the Commander was still here, we would have made so reservations, but since you sent him away, hehe, looks like you're tired of living." The Gno with the scar did not get annoyed by Klaus's taunts and instead showed joy. If the Commander was still here, he would be constrained to him, but without the Commander, he was free. Looking at them, he noticed a new face.
"Oh, you brought a replacent?" The Gno placed his focus on Grey, trying to figure out who he was that gave him the chance to switch places with the Commander even though the Commander's opponent was a Ninth stage Sovereign.
'He should at least be a Ninth stage Sovereign.' The scar-faced Gno thought to himself.
He tried to sense Grey's aura, and to his shock, he could only feel the aura of an Eighth stage Sovereign.
"An Eighth stage Sovereign?!" The Gno battling with Reynolds all this ti exclaid.
Just like the scar-faced Gno, they too were studying Grey. Realizing that he was only in the Eighth stage, they heaved a sigh of relief. Of all of them, the silver robbed Gno was the only one with a dark expression. He could feel a great sense of death, sothing that even with the Commander's presence, he did not feel.
'Don't tell he is even more freakish than that brat?' The silver robbed Gno's heart pounded at the thought of this. If the new Human was the sa as that damned brat, then they were in trouble.
He moved over to the scar-faced Gno and warned, "Be careful when you face him, I don't think he's soone to take lightly."
The scar-faced Gno snorted coldly at the silver robbed Gno's warning, "Humph! Do you think everyone is as incompetent as you are?"
The silver robbed Gno's expression turned dark at the scar-faced Gno's words.
