The cha straddled the Blade Hunter, frantically pounding its head. Each punch drew a spray of scarlet blood, breaking one of its fangs.
The two giant creatures clashed fiercely, and Sun Min and the others had no chance to intervene, they could only watch from afar.
Seeing the Blade Hunter's head covered in blood, the rcenaries erupted in cheers.
So even raised their guns, firing shots at the Blade Hunter in an attempt to help Dongdong. Even if the bullets were futile, they hoped to create so disturbance.
The other rcenaries were exhilarated, but only Sun Min remained in a daze.
As the only one present who had previously encountered the Blade Hunter, Sun Min understood the terrifying nature of this chanical Ferocious Beast.
The Blade Hunter underwent genetic modification using a giant lizard-like ferocious beast as its base, excelling in frontal assault.
Don't be deceived by its current bloodied and pathetic state.
Compared to its formidable vitality, these injuries were equivalent to a re scratch on a human.
Moreover, this was a "Hui-level Special Tier" chanical Ferocious Beast...
Its combat power was on par with a "Mid-tier Ascension" Blood Code Carrier, or a Prosthetic Implanter outfitted with "Stringently Managed Level 2" components.
Even though Dongdong's cha was no slouch, it had previously fought intensely with lizard hordes, severely depleted and far from its initial state.
Could the cha's remaining strength really suppress a chanical Ferocious Beast of this level...
Ti passed urgently.
Just as Dongdong controlled the cha to violently attack the Blade Hunter, the battlefield's situation reversed abruptly.
A blurred shadow suddenly burst behind the Blade Hunter, moving so fast it was almost invisible.
The cha attempted to block with its arm, but the shadow was too swift, deft as a serpent, it bypassed the defenses, striking at the cha's chest.
"Screech—" A piercing sound of twisting tal erupted.
The cha's chest armor, thick and alloy-plated, was pierced, the center of impact twisted into a spiral dent, like a flower of death blooming.
In that mont, everyone finally saw the shadow's true form.
It was the hook-like tail of the Blade Hunter, born for slaughter.
Previously, no matter how damaged the cha was, its movents never stalled, for unlike humans, as long as critical components were intact, it could move freely.
But when this tail pierced the cha's chest, it froze completely, motionless.
Sun Min's eyes revealed intense fear, and in a trembling voice, he said, "That's where the cockpit is…"
"Drip." Crimson blood dripped down the tail, splashing blood blossoms on the ground.
"Whoosh—" The tail was yanked out, pulling countless blood-stained tal parts with it.
The engine's hum echoed, growing weaker and weaker, as the light in the chanical eyes flickered, dimming, until it completely extinguished.
In the end, the cha lost all its power, tilted backward, and crashed to the ground with a "boom", lifeless.
The Blade Hunter's fierce eyes turned to Sun Min and the others, its bloody maw grinning, revealing a nacing, twisted smile: "Your turn."
Cold sweat dripped from every Lei Ming rcenary's forehead. Despite the underground space's temperature control, they felt like they had fallen into an ice-cold abyss, surrounded by endless chill.
Who ran first was already unknown. The Lei Ming rcenaries fled in quick succession, their panic-stricken cries echoing everywhere.
"Boom—" The Blade Hunter charged toward the fleeing Lei Ming rcenaries, beginning its slaughter.
One rcenary had just managed a few steps when a blur swept past him, and suddenly, his surroundings were inexplicably cut in half, shifting rapidly to both sides, and then he lost consciousness forever.
"Slash!"
The Blade Hunter's sharp claws sliced through the rcenary's body along the midline, splitting him in half, and a mist of blood erupted skyward.
"Ah! Stay away!!!" The Lei Ming rcenaries scread and ran away, firing their guns in desperate resistance.
But such acts proved futile.
The bullets from their standard weapons couldn't penetrate the Blade Hunter's armored scales, nor could they keep up with its speed, trailing uselessly behind it, only pocking the walls with pits.
One rcenary, firing frantically, suddenly went black as heavy pressure crushed him from above, his consciousness snuffed out instantly.
The Blade Hunter, leaping through the fireline, landed overhead, its massive paw smashing him like a high-powered hydraulic press, crushing him entirely.
After slaughtering the second rcenary, the Blade Hunter blasted forward, the entire underground space filled with its shadows, whirling with flying flesh wherever it passed.
"Aaah! Help! Captain, save !!!"
"Spare ... spare ! I'll give you anything! Aaah!!!..."
"It wasn't supposed to be this way... it was supposed to be an easy assignnt... it wasn't supposed to be like this..."
"Beast! I'll fight you! Aaaahhhh!!!"
The Lei Ming rcenaries' composure crumbled completely, cries for rcy, wails, mingled with insane shouts filled the air.
But no matter the response, their fate was no different.
The Blade Hunter, like a ruthless Death God, claid lives indiscriminately among the rcenaries.
In less than a minute, their numbers dropped to a third.
This was a massacre, one-sided slaughter.
Faced with absolute power disparity, the Blade Hunter crushed rcenaries like ants, while they posed no threat to it.
Though these rcenaries bore implants, discounting the difference in levels, those implants couldn't run forever.
Even if activating their artificial spines to enter bullet ti allowed them to barely keep up, it only bought them extra seconds.
Once the implants overheated to the limit, it ant death.
Thus, Lei Ming rcenaries attempting to escape were killed one by one, turning into bloody remains under the Blade Hunter's claws.
The only one who hadn't run was Sun Min, standing there from the start.
Having witnessed the Blade Hunter before, he understood more than anyone that struggle was futile before such power.
Last ti he was lucky; the battlefield was chaotic, and he survived by playing dead.
This ti, fortune wouldn't favor him.
Sun Min stood rigidly, watching the Blade Hunter's relentless slaughter. His gaze had turned vacant, focus lost.
Resistance promised no hope, escape was aningless, his mind filled with thoughts of death, he knew not what to do, nor could he do anything...
"Slash!"
With the last Lei Ming rcenary's heart pierced by the tail, Sun Min was the only one left standing.
The Blade Hunter approached slowly, its body soaked in blood, dripping down its tail, bone blade, and reptilian snout, like a demon erging from hell.
It lood over the despondent Sun Min, its deep voice rumbling from its throat: "Good, staying put saves the chase."
"For being so cooperative, tell , what little reward would you like? I'll grant it."
Sun Min's lips trembled, his teeth chattered, despair filling his expression, before darkening completely.
He forced out words through gritted teeth: "Just… make it quick…"
"Slash—" The Blade Hunter swung its claw, severing Sun Min at the waist.
The half-severed blow was not imdiately fatal, its strength well controlled to keep Sun Min conscious.
Sun Min, torn in two, crashed heavily to the floor, his lower half convulsing sporadically, his upper body dragging through the blood, emitting heart-rending screams.
"Hahaha! Hahahaha! You're killing , look at you, so stupid, just like the worms I played with as a kid." The Blade Hunter laughed madly, taunting the prey it toyed with.
Gradually, Sun Min's struggling torso fell still, his eyes unclosed in death, his face twisted in agony, etched with despair.
At that mont, the hue of blood dominated the underground space, echoing only with the Blade Hunter's wild laughter.
