[Lakefront Business District, Intersection of Hoyou Road and Xingyue Road]
A sedan is stopped by a patrol car.
The driver is Freeman, behind him are his wife Karin and their 8-year-old son Reggie.
All three of them are wearing black plaques, very typical of Border Immigrants.
Freeman and Karin have lived in the Inner City for 8 years, having immigrated the year they found out about the pregnancy.
Obtaining their identities nearly exhausted half of their life's savings, leaving them to live in tents under a bridge for a long ti afterwards.
But they never regretted this decision.
Poverty can be endured silently, at least there is a chance to strive.
The last thing they wanted was to see their child grow up in a dirty, chaotic environnt, to beco a mohawk-headed punk, ssing around every day, and then one day hear he was shot in the head on the streets.
At this mont, Freeman and Karin are being interrogated by the sheriff.
The reason?
Not important.
Maybe the car wasn't driven straight.
Maybe they started too slowly at the red light.
Maybe there was no reason at all, just the sheriff wanting to hit so KPI, or simply disliking them.
Freeman and Karin stand by the roadside, hands on the wall, being frisked like criminals by two sheriffs, one tall and one short.
Reggie stands nearby, bewildered, watching his parents, not understanding why the sheriff uncle is doing this to them.
Freeman doesn't ask or argue; he knows it's useless.
In the past 8 years, he doesn't know how many unreasonable searches he has endured, every ti forced to swallow the disgrace of discrimination.
Just endure it.
He always tells himself this.

"Uh..."
Suddenly, Freeman hears his wife's soft groan and instinctively looks over.
He sees the tall sheriff standing behind Karin, pressing close as he searches her, a sinister smile on his face, his hands making nauseating moves, reaching towards places that shouldn't be touched.
Karin tightly purses her lips, her eyes brimming with tears, enduring the humiliation silently.
Freeman clenches his fists, unable to help but speak out: "Officer, please have so respect..."
Behind him, the short sheriff suddenly presses his head against the wall: "What the hell did you say?!"
The tall sheriff also reveals a teasing smile, deliberately raising his hands: "Oh~ Respect, huh? I understand."
After speaking, he directly reaches into Karin's clothes, pretending to be serious: "Your husband is very tense; sounds like you might be hiding sothing illegal?"
Karin chokes out: "You misunderstand, I have nothing on ..."
"Is that so? With what you said, I need to check more thoroughly. This is for New Moon City's public safety." The tall sheriff says, pressing his hand against Karin's front neck, searching downwards, "Could it be hidden here?"
Karin trembles as if electrocuted, closing her eyes helplessly.
Freeman's eyes are full of hatred, his teeth tightly clenched, yet he can only watch his wife be humiliated, unable to do anything.
Karin's tremor makes the tall sheriff more interested, his hand sliding down her abdon: "Maybe it's here?"
Karin's breathing becos rapid and chaotic, even with a sobbing tone, tears slowly trailing down her cheeks.
Freeman almost bites his gums to bleed, the flas of fury igniting in his eyes, clenched fists making cracking sounds.
Watching his partner mock Karin, the short sheriff bursts into laughter: "Look at how her ass sticks out, I bet a cocktail that there are definitely illegal items under that skirt."
The tall sheriff shows a look of sudden realization: "Oh~ yes! How did I not think of that?"
After speaking, he slaps firmly, causing Karin's cries to burst forth, whimpering under the abuse.
"Enough!!!" Finally, Freeman erupts.
Years of suppressed unrest, coupled with his wife being humiliated in front of him, completely ignite Freeman's masculine pride.
He punches the wall, pointing angrily at the tall sheriff: "Stay away from my wife, you scumbag!"
The short sheriff's face changes, quickly backing up, gripping the gun at his waist and warning: "Put your hands back on the wall, imdiately!"
Freeman clutches at his chest, yelling hoarsely: "What's your right to treat us like this?! We've been in the Inner City for 8 years, 8 whole years without a single violation record!"
"But you still won't leave us alone! It's like this every day! As soon as you see us, all kinds of harassnt and humiliation! What's the reason?!"
The short sheriff pulls out his gun, aiming at Freeman, voice impossibly stern: "Put your hands back on the wall! Do it imdiately!"
Freeman suddenly grabs the Borderland Plaque from his neck, questioning angrily: "Just because we're Border People? Just because we wear this plaque we're considered inferior?!"
"You can humiliate , but not the ones I love most! This is character assassination! I swear! I will report you to the Public Security Bureau!"
The short sheriff disables the safety, his face turning fierce: "Put your hands back on the wall! This is the final warning!"
Karin also cries out: "Please! Freeman! Do as he says!"
At this mont, the tall sheriff's face shows a sinister grin, deliberately grabbing Karin's hair, provocatively looking at Freeman while inhaling the scent from her hair.
This action completely causes Freeman to lose control, suddenly smashing the Borderland Plaque towards him: "Let her go! You bastard!"
"Bang bang bang bang——" The short sheriff imdiately pulls the trigger, gunfire erupts.
