[Hegemony Company Crisis Managent Center No. 7]

Jos is a crisis response specialist at Hegemony Company, and his routine job is to handle all kinds of crisis alerts from his jurisdiction and provide response plans.

Hegemony Company has a total of 12 crisis managent centers, each with thousands of specialists like Jos.

These people might not have the formidable power of a Blood Code Carrier, but they are little cogs in the huge machine of Hegemony Company—unremarkable, yet indispensable.

Jos doesn’t hold a high position; he is just an ordinary duty specialist.

If he makes no errors in his work in the future, he might have the chance to be promoted to the leader of a twenty-person team.

But that requires luck and opportunity.

The greater possibility for him is to spend his life in diocrity at his current position.

As for mid-level positions like departnt heads and center directors, or even higher managerial roles, those are fantasies one can only dream about.

Today is another busy day, with various incidents occurring in the jurisdiction of Crisis Managent Center No. 7, and Jos has dozens of crises to handle.

Depending on the specific details of a crisis, he needs to first assign it a priority level.

For instance, sporadic harassnt from hostile forces, ard provocations, and illegal territorial intrusions that result in a few deaths with no great loss will be categorized as "low-priority" crises.

Low-priority crises only need to engage the local second-tier security forces.

If there is a destructive attack on facilities, or so technical staff are kidnapped leading to the leakage of confidential data, possibly harming the company’s interests, it is a "secondary-priority" crisis.

Secondary-priority crises require first-tier forces to be deployed.

If necessary, elite mbers can be dispatched to collaborate with local forces for resolution.

As for "dium-priority" crises...

Oh, that’s when things get lively.

Generally, dozens to hundreds of elites are needed to be deployed simultaneously, making it quite a scene.

In summary, the higher the crisis level, the stronger the personnel dispatched, which is the general rule.

At this mont, Jos finished his current work, refilled a cup of latte, and before he could take a sip, another crisis popped up on the screen.

He didn’t complain, or rather, he was accustod to this kind of busy work.

He opened the intelligence, reading it at a steady pace.

This was a crisis alert concerning Research Base No. 101 in the Windy Plains.

He rembered this place.

A few days ago, it was he who handled the assault on Research Base No. 101.

Because the entire base was completely destroyed, categorizing it as a "secondary-priority" crisis, he dispatched a Razor Squad to handle it, also giving them direct command over the local security forces.

Now, this crisis alert had nothing to do with the base’s destruction; it was another matter.

The alert reported that the company convoy responsible for transporting the "Black Core" from Research Base No. 101 was attacked by an unknown force, all transportation personnel were killed, and the Black Core was missing.

Looking at the location of the convoy ambush marked by the system, Jos guessed that it was likely the work of so ard thugs.

The Black Core is a type of digital storage dium owned by the company, understandable as a "hard drive."

The lost Black Core contained project data from Research Base No. 101 and the whole personnel files.

If the Black Core were sold to old rivals like the "Iron Blood Alliance" or "Black Domain Group," it would cause great damage to the company.

Jos directly categorized this crisis as "dium-priority."

Through the backend system, he assembled a squad comprising ten Razor squads, totaling 80 Razor Warriors, to head to the scene for resolution.

After handling this crisis, Jos finally got the chance to taste the latte.

He took a small sip, indulging in the aroma of the coffee, his eyes drifting over his workspace to the blonde woman across from him.

He thought: Mary’s figure is getting better and better.

Mary noticed Jos’s gaze and gave him a slight smile, throwing him a covert seductive glance.

Looks like tonight’s date is promising! Jos felt that the coffee in his hand tasted even better.

Just as Jos was contemplating the location for tonight’s date, a red pop-up appeared on the computer screen.

Red, the color Jos hated most, as it ant a crisis handling failed.

"Damn it, this month’s bonus is going to be less again," Jos grumbled softly, putting down the coffee.

He opened the crisis numbered "WF2076194571," discovering it was about the assault on Research Base No. 101 a few days earlier.

The content indicated that the action by the Razor Rapid Response Team Hellfire Squad’s 53rd Squadron, 12th Operations Group had failed, with all eight mbers, including Captain Alote, losing their life signs.

Jos couldn’t help but curse inwardly.

The Razors have truly lost all face in recent years!

To completely annihilate in a secondary-priority crisis, no wonder they rank at the bottom among the company’s four elite forces every year!

If they keep slackening like this, who knows if these Razor idiots can maintain their elite status!

Jos felt helpless. Just as he was about to file this crisis into the backend database, he suddenly noticed the location where Alote and others lost their life signs.

"Huh? Land of No Master?" Jos was puzzled; it was supposedly a crisis concerning the Windy Plains—how did it end up in the Land of No Master?

After pondering for a mont, Jos looked over to the opposite workstation: "Team Leader, I’d like to request the dispatch of an ’Apocalypse Star.’"

The Team Leader, still staring at his screen, responded: "Reason?"

Jos reported: "WF2076194571 crisis handling failed, I want to check the site situation."

The Team Leader brought up the relevant crisis content, glanced at it quickly, and closed it: "The ’Apocalypse Star’ has more important tasks, no ti to spend on secondary-priority crises, handle it yourself."

Jos explained: "A Razor operations group lost their life signs in the Land of No Master; I suspect they discovered an Ancient Era Ruin and may have engaged in a firefight with soone."

The Team Leader, still glued to his screen, calmly said: "Listen, kid, the world is big, and the Land of No Master has countless Ancient Era Ruins waiting for us to explore slowly.

"And the premise for all this is that the company gains more seats in this World Governnt ’Upper Court Council’ election to ensure future influence, understand?"

"Alright, kid, go do your work; you’ve taken up too much of my ti."

Jos didn’t say more; as a crisis response specialist, his position was the lowest here. He had long been accustod to having his requests denied.

Jos opened the system interface, finding that a bomber squadron was flying over a hundred kiloters away from the incident location.

He thought to himself: Since it’s in the Land of No Master, without considering additional casualties, let’s do a "remote cleanup."

A bit costly, but convenient.

Jos shrugged, his fingers dancing over the keyboard, entering a series of instructions.

He sent a docunt to the Team Leader, saying: "I requested a ’Percher II’ cruise missile to conduct remote cleanup of the incident site. I need your authorization, Team Leader."

The Team Leader opened the authorization request, scanned it briefly, and affixed an electronic signature before sending it back to Jos: "Authorization complete."

Jos sent the instructions to the bomber squadron, then leaned back in his chair, holding the cup of coffee he’d been picking up and putting down.

The rich aroma gave him inspiration—tonight’s date would be at the newly opened café nearby, surely Mary would love it!

Thinking of this, he showed a contented smile.
