Now reading: Chapter 87 83: Les Misérables from After Beating the Game, I Became the Villain BOSS, a Sci-fi novel by Ink-Fragrance Twin Fish.

This formal suit hung on the exhibition rack, the fabric showing a sophisticated gray tone with low saturation, subtle yet elegant, complented by a black lining, a tie with graceful patterns, and a silver brooch on the chest, exuding an extraordinary calm deanor.

Su Mo went to the dressing room to change into this outfit, almost not recognizing himself in the fitting mirror.

They say clothes make the man.

He originally had an unremarkable appearance, but under the blessing of the suit, he beca incredibly photogenic, like a different person.

The manager asked tentatively, "Sir, are you satisfied?"

Su Mo clapped his hands incessantly, "Very nice, but it always feels... like sothing is missing from my hands."

The manager clapped his hands, showing joy, "Ah yes, yes, I thought the sa, please wait a mont."

The manager fetched a brand new formal cane and handed it to Su Mo, "Would you like to try it?"

Su Mo leaned the cane on the ground, and indeed, everything beca more harmonious; he casually changed several poses and even had a bit of a fashion magazine model vibe.

He nodded in satisfaction, "This is much better, um... how much is this cane?"

The manager nodded, "You must be joking. Having a custor like you is Sasser No. 1's honor; this cane is a gift for you."

Su Mo was well aware that the manager wasn't trying to flatter him; he was flattering Poxuding through him.

Of course, who wouldn't take it if it's free.

He accepted it with confidence.

After leaving Sasser No. 1, Su Mo walking on the road attracted quite a bit of attention.

Although the formal suit style was understated, those who knew their stuff could instantly see its luxury, from workmanship to fabric, incomparable to standard-priced formal suits.

When the clothes are high-end, no one cares about his Borderland Plaque.

So even suspect he is a wealthy person with special quirks, accustod to a noble status, who deliberately buys a dog tag to experience a new life.

"Click," at this mont, a flash lighted up.

A little way off stood a photographer; he glanced at the cara screen and gave Su Mo a thumbs up.

Su Mo was stunned, "Um... what is this?"

The photographer smiled, "Hello, I'm in street photography dia. Buddy, you're really handso. Could you pair up with our female model to shoot a short video? Just a minute or two."

Before Su Mo could react, a tall beauty wearing a black dress walked over to hook his arm, saying in a sweet tone, "Hey handso, hi, sorry for the disturbance."

Street photography, Su Mo had seen it before traveling across.

But it was a thing for stylish n and won, unrelated to a ga nerd like him.

Now being actively invited for a video shoot, with a beauty alongside, he couldn't possibly be unwilling.

After agreeing, the beauty hooked Su Mo's arm, pretending not to know the photographer, walking several tis in front of the cara.

It's sumr now, the beauty wore little and quite openly, hooking his arm, making Su Mo a bit blush, awkwardly shrinking his arm.

Seeing this, the beauty giggled, "Hey handso, you're so shy."

After shooting the video, the beauty proactively asked for his number and hinted that she's single, suggesting he contact her more when free.

Su Mo thought, "This world is so realistic... previously wearing ordinary clothes, even the receptionist wouldn't look straight. Changed into sothing expensive, and roadside beauties directly chat up."

After shooting the video, Su Mo left the Lakefront Business District, driving back ho.

KK and Future were having a al by the table.

KK looked at Su Mo, "Hey bro, you're back. Eh, new clothes?"

Su Mo, with the thought of flaunting, asked, "Quickly, give an assessnt, how's this suit?"

KK, born from the border, had no concept of suits, muttered, "Uh... quite good-looking."

Su Mo: "Just that???

KK: "Should I... say sothing?"

Su Mo coughed slightly, "Guess the price."

KK hesitantly asked, "50?"

Su Mo laughed, annoyed, "Guess higher!"

KK looked for a long ti, carefully asked, "100?"

Su Mo was out of patience, saying firmly, "880,000!"

"How...how much? 880,000???" KK was shocked, murmuring holding a potato bowl, "How many potatoes could this buy... it could feed for half a lifeti right..."

Future, resting his chin, lazily said, "Boss, you were scamd, right."

Su Mo: "Fixed price, no deception. This is a brand!"

Future casually asked, "Can it be bulletproof?"

Su Mo: "Definitely not."

Future: "Can it block knives?"

Su Mo: "It definitely can't."

Future: "Is it heat resistant? Can it withstand extre environnts?"

Su Mo: "No, it's pure wool, it'll burn to crisp."

Future: "So what did you buy for 880,000?"

Su Mo fell silent.

Future looked again at his gentleman's cane, "Why are you leaning on a cane? Is your leg injured?"

Su Mo: "I can't talk to you!"

After saying that, he slipped away back to his room.

...

Two days later, it was ti for the appointnt with Tareg.

Su Mo dressed in the suit and rode the motorcycle to Libetong Mansion.

As soon as he arrived at the entrance, Su Mo noticed a patrol car from the Public Security Bureau parked there, and a sheriff was talking to a forensic doctor in a white protective suit around the corner.

In the corner, the child Su Mo saw two days ago lay there, still emaciated, but with an abnormally large belly, his murky eyes unfocused, evidently dead for a long ti.

Su Mo walked over and dumbly asked, "What happened?"

Working in hot weather, the sheriff was in a bad mood, not turning his head, "Soone died, can't you see?"

Su Mo pressed further, "How did he die?!"

The sheriff clicked his tongue, turned to look at Su Mo.

He first glanced at Su Mo's plaque around his neck, then examined the suit, his gaze becoming a bit friendlier.

He explained, "Died accidentally. According to Libetong's security, a delivery guy brought him a pizza a few days ago, and he was sitting here eating, eating all the ti."

"Munched more even after he couldn't take it anymore, kept stuffing it down, eating and eating, and eventually he ate himself to death... Forensics, faster please! It's almost the end of the day, still dawdling."

Finished speaking, he walked towards the forensic doctor to sign the disposal docunts.

Su Mo stood there alone, dazedly watching the child.

His cheeks bulged high, his mouth stuffed with pizza filling he hadn't managed to swallow; blood oozing from the ruptured stomach mixed in it, forming brown clots.

The stick-like arms tightly clung to the pizza box; the forensic doctor couldn't pry it off, fiercely guarding the delicious food he'd never tasted even in death.

Su Mo's voice was sowhat hoarse, like mumbling to himself, or speaking to soone else, "If it's tasty, you can eat slowly... I'll buy it for you after you finish..."

The child's muddled eyes were half-open, half-closed; he could never respond to Su Mo again.

After finishing at the scene, the sheriff walked to Su Mo's side, handing him a cigarette.

Su Mo shook his head.

The sheriff lit one himself, smoking while jokingly saying, "Actually, this kid is quite lucky, at least he died eating what he liked. Haha, when I grow old, I hope to be stuffed to death with red wine and steak."

Su Mo said nothing, just sorrowfully watching as the child was packed into a body bag and lifted onto the car, disappearing from sight.
