"Captain Wei..."
The police officer, having just finished reporting the situation, turned around to ask Wei Ming about the next steps, only to find the spot where Wei Ming was standing completely empty.
"Has anyone seen Captain Wei?"
He shouted anxiously, eyes filled with panic, knowing he had just witnessed Wei Ming recklessly charging into the fire.
"Hey, brother," the officer’s shoulder was tapped, and he turned around to et a pair of clear eyes. A young man with a black baseball cap gave a gentle smile and obediently pointed at the crowd across the way. "You’re talking about the officer who was just sitting on the ground, right? I saw them call him away just now; apparently, soone got injured, and he went to check it out."
Giving the young man who appeared behind him a deep look, and seeing his obedient and steady deanor, the officer nodded, patting the young man’s shoulder, "Thanks, kiddo. You aren’t injured, are you?"
"No, I’m fine."
"That’s good. Hurry ho, and try not to co to places like this in the future, okay?"
"I was just passing by, don’t worry."
Watching the officer rush off in the direction the young man pointed, the young man slowly tilted his black cap, and the previously well-behaved expression gradually faded, replaced by a cold and indifferent look.

The phone vibrated. He pulled it from his pocket and answered, "Hello."
"Chi, have you found the boss? I can’t reach him by phone. Are you sure he went back? Is there a chance he’s in the underground parking garage? I just found out, the explosion started there. It’s the most damaged area."
ng Chi, gazing expressionlessly at the collapsed exit, moved slowly forward, saying, "Don’t worry, I just got in touch with the boss. He went off alone for a joyride, told us not to worry."

"Alright, if there’s nothing else, I’m hanging up."

"Just taking a walk."
He abruptly ended the call, turned off his phone, and slipped towards the already collapsed entrance while no one was looking.
Applying a bit of force, he pushed away the rubble, and taking advantage of the resounding crash, he slipped inside.
As ng Chi took in his surroundings inside, he froze. He originally thought that upon entering, there might not even be a path forward, but to his surprise, the parking garage’s construction was quite solid, with no major collapse apart from so rubble on the floor. The parked cars, however, were smashed beyond recognition.
Following the path Bi Xia had led him and Ye Xiao down before, ng Chi moved forward bit by bit. When his gaze landed on a black sedan, its roof half-caved in, the license plate eerily familiar, ng Chi stroked his chin. If the boss found out that her second rented car also got destroyed in the explosion, she’d likely explode herself, definitely explode...
Thinking this, ng Chi couldn’t help but chuckle. Taking a deep breath, he continued forward. For so reason, despite the massive explosion, ng Chi felt Bi Xia was inside... Thinking this, he picked up his pace. Even if he was wrong, he couldn’t miss any possibility!
Upon seeing the burly man lying on the ground, already dead, ng Chi paused, his face turning grave. So it was... and upon seeing the door in front seemingly kicked open violently, that familiar thod, ng Chi beca even more certain of his earlier assumptions.

Bi Xia coughed lightly, slowly opening his eyes. The dust in the air made even a small breath feel like inhaling endless dust into his lungs.
"Are you okay?"
A gentle, graceful voice sounded from behind him. Feeling the protective embrace around him, Bi Xia paused and shook his head gently, "I’m fine. What about you, are you hurt?"
Ji Qiutang chuckled softly, "No worries. I’m Ji Qiutang, blessed with good fortune and a long life."
"Get off," Bi Xia shrugged his shoulder backward, accidentally bumping against Ji Qiutang’s chest, "Get up, you’re crushing ."
Ji Qiutang smiled helplessly and struggled to get up, "You little thing, truly ungrateful. I just risked everything to shield you."
Continuing, Ji Qiutang said, "Look at this secret room, if not for , you’d be just like those operating tables."
Bi Xia paused, turning to look at Ji Qiutang, who also realized sothing was amiss, "Yeah, logically we should be like those operating tables..."
