Bi Xia was initially taken aback by Xia Shi’s words. He had a mont of awkwardness but quickly regained his composure and said nonchalantly, "What are you talking about? Like you said, I’m still underage."
Xia Shi smiled and glanced at the pretending-to-be-cool Bi Xia. Handing over the ingredients, he said, "Co over, let teach you how to cook."
"Huh?" Bi Xia walked forward with the ingredients in confusion, "I cook?"
"Yeah, what else? You know how to make just tomato scrambled eggs and a few simple dishes. What’s that good for? What if you go to college and mom’s not around? You can’t just rely on takeout," Xia Shi replied.
Bi Xia grinned and looked at the boiling water in the pot, "I can cook, you know. Last ti I cooked at Fourth Brother’s place, both he and Fei thought it was delicious."
"That’s because they haven’t tasted Xia Family dishes," Xia Shi said, handing over the spatula to Bi Xia, "Listen to mom. It’s crucial to learn more skills."
"Also, don’t hide anything from mom. She’s been through it all. Back in the day, when mom was little, she had already made a secret lifelong promise with a little brother." Xia Shi seed a bit embarrassed, "So you see, you’re almost seventeen this year. What are you afraid of?"
Bi Xia gasped at Xia Shi’s words, "How could you have been so blind back then to choose Bi Qingyun?"
"Hey!" Xia Shi smacked Bi Xia’s butt and snatched back the spatula, "That was because there were no other options in Qing City! Go find your Fourth Brother, you little ungrateful thing!"
Bi Xia burst into loud laughter and was pushed out of the kitchen by Xia Shi. Watching Xia Shi busy around the kitchen, Bi Xia knew he had dodged a bullet this ti. But knowing how decisive Xia Shi always was, he realized that learning Xia Family dishes was inevitable.
With a light sigh, he turned and went upstairs. As he pushed open the door, he saw Qin Zhan lying on his bed, reading a book he had previously ordered from a bookstore.
Noticing Bi Xia looking a bit conflicted, Qin Zhan sat up slightly, leaned against the headboard, and closed the book, "What’s wrong?"
Bi Xia pressed his lips together, looking at the stern young man. Rembering what his mom had said, he suddenly asked, "Fourth Brother, are you gay?"
Qin Zhan was clearly surprised by the question. He was montarily stunned, then understood Bi Xia’s intention. His phoenix eyes narrowed, a hint of amusent flickered through them, and he looked up again, "Seems so."
Bi Xia widened his eyes at Qin Zhan, his face imdiately turned expressionless. He stepped up to Qin Zhan, bent over, and said, "You are not allowed to be gay!"
Suppressing his laughter, Qin Zhan feigned confusion, "If I’m not, what will you do?"

Bi Xia was montarily speechless. Great, he was the one hiding it from Qin Zhan, waiting for him to find out. Now, if Qin Zhan really ended up being turned gay by him... His starry eyes half-closed, well then he’ll just turn him straight! As straight as can be!
Seeing the look on Bi Xia’s face, Qin Zhan smiled, cupped Bi Xia’s face with his hands, "Depends on you."
"Huh?" Bi Xia was slightly confused.
Qin Zhan slowly said, "If you’re a boy, then I’m gay. If you’re a girl, then I’m straight. Either way, I’ll be devoted to you for this lifeti."
Qin Zhan’s voice was low and reserved. Whenever he spoke quietly, his tone would unconsciously slow down, and the inherent sensuality would seep out bit by bit, making Bi Xia’s heart itch.
Bi Xia liked it when Qin Zhan talked to him like this, extrely liked it.

Qin Zhan paused slightly, then suddenly laughed. Pulling the boy onto his lap, he whispered, "I’m afraid so kid won’t be able to resist."

Seeing Bi Xia wrinkle his nose, Qin Zhan laughed out loud. His usually indifferent face softened to the extre. He hugged the boy tightly and said softly, "Little Nine, I’m very happy..."
