"Because my father is the City Lord."

"Nothing. I just didn't expect you to hold such a position here."

"My father asked to keep my identity hidden until I ca of age. No one at school knows. You're the first."

"Then I'm truly honored," Jiang Chen said, with a slightly awkward smile.

He followed her into the storage room.

Cold weapons lined the walls — shuriken, kunai, and katanas of various sizes, all lightweight and well-suited to Ninja-style combat.

With Li Yanran vouching for him, Jiang Chen walked out with exactly what he needed: a two-foot katana and ten refined iron shuriken.
