Samuel Goldman inwardly cursed, stepping in front of Sophia Shaw.
"President Grant, what a coincidence."
Vincent Grant’s gaze went past Samuel Goldman to Sophia Shaw. His brow furrowed slightly when he saw her attire.
Only then did he respond to Samuel Goldman, "President Goldman, there’s sothing I’d like to discuss privately with your Mr. Shaw."
Samuel Goldman looked at Sophia Shaw. "Mr. Shaw?"
Sophia Shaw didn’t want to speak with Vincent Grant, but she also didn’t want to make a scene in public. She said, "You go on in first."
Samuel Goldman agreed, and as he walked inside, a thought ran through his mind: ’Is it too late to get the boss a formal gown now?’

If it were anyone else’s birthday, Sophia Shaw could have ignored it.
But Old Master Grant had clearly favored her all these years, even reprimanding Vincent Grant on her behalf more than once.
Out of respect for that kindness, she had to go.
But not with Vincent Grant, of course.

With that, she moved to walk past Vincent Grant and go inside.
"Sophia Shaw."
Seeing how decisively she was leaving, Vincent Grant reached out and grabbed her. "There’s no need for us to be so distant."
Sophia Shaw was so tempted to slap him across the face again.
’We’re divorced. If we’re not distant, am I supposed to cling to him like I used to?’
"Also, get that child’s household registration transferred out of the Sawyer Family’s records. A child of the Grant family doesn’t need to recognize so other man as her father."

"Wanting it both ways, aren’t you? How disgusting."
Sophia Shaw’s back stiffened, and she stopped in her tracks.
She slowly turned to look at her. "Which one of your eyes saw clinging to him? Wasn’t he the one who approached ?"
"If he approached you, you must have pulled so trick!" Joanna Sherman said as if it were a matter of fact.
"If he cos running just because I beckon him with my finger, that just proves you’re not charming enough!"
"You!"
Joanna Sherman’s eyes widened, her expression so fierce she looked like she could eat soone.
Sophia Shaw’s taunt trampled all over her pride. How could soone as conceited as her stand it?
But a mont later, she started laughing again. "Whether or not I’m charming enough is sothing you and I both know clearly. Vincent Grant gave you the cold shoulder for six years for my sake. He wouldn’t even sleep with you after you had a child."
"The mont I ca back, he offered up his entire fortune to help achieve my dream, investing tens of billions without blinking an eye."
"My daughter is just my adopted daughter, yet he treats her like a priceless treasure. Isn’t that all the proof you need?"
"Oh, right. And those online comnts—I hadn’t even said a word before he stepped in and had them taken down, even getting several internet celebrities banned."
Joanna Sherman knew exactly how to twist the knife, targeting whatever Sophia Shaw cared about most.
Finished, she smugly flipped her long, wavy hair. "Sophia Shaw, when it cos to attracting n, you’ll never be able to compare to in this lifeti."
"And in terms of ability... you’re nothing but a loser!"
She lifted her eyelids arrogantly, looking down on Sophia Shaw completely. "Even with Levin Sawyer protecting you, even with the support of a top-tier platform like Lead Aerospace, an ant will always be an ant!"
Her disdainful gaze landed on Sophia’s drab overalls. "Those clothes really suit you. Drab and dusty, not fit for high society!"
"I’m so looking forward to seeing you get dumped by Levin Sawyer in the near future!"
With that, she strode past Sophia Shaw, her high heels CLICK-CLACKING loudly.
Samuel Goldman happened to be coming over and overheard Joanna Sherman’s last few sentences. His jaw nearly hit the floor.
’These are the words of the so-called ’Rocket Goddess’?’
’She has no class at all.’
He had actually admired Joanna Sherman before, but now that he’d seen her true colors, he felt utterly disgusted.
He kept spitting under his breath.

Joanna Sherman didn’t notice Samuel Goldman and walked back to Vincent Grant and Holt’s side.
When she saw Sophia Shaw erge, she deliberately linked her arm with Holt’s, like a proud peacock showing off her superiority.

Being Holt’s student was enough to crush a minor character like Sophia Shaw under her heel!
Sophia Shaw paid them no mind, leading Samuel Goldman toward the exhibition booth.
She began explaining the new technology to Samuel Goldman, analyzing the pros and cons of each new technique for him one by one.
So other attendees nearby overheard how thorough her explanation was and couldn’t help but gather around to ask her questions about things they were confused about.
Before long, a small crowd had gathered around her.
Joanna Sherman watched from a distance as she was surrounded by the crowd, assuming she was just grandstanding for attention, and let out a disdainful scoff.
Holt’s attention was also drawn over.
Earlier at the entrance, she had been too far away to see the person’s face clearly, only getting the impression of a drab, colorless figure.
Now, with the person standing under the lights, Holt could see her face clearly and was slightly taken aback. She pointed and asked, "Who is that?"

Seeing Joanna Sherman’s disdain for Sophia Shaw, her brow furrowed again.
"I heard from Smith that he saw a girl in Cathan who looked exactly like Old Master Sloan’s favorite student. Your senior, Kanter, also said he’d seen her before."
Holt and Smith were close friends, and since Smith and Old Master Sloan were both at NASA, he was privy to more inside information.
