"Help! Help us!"

Nashe saw beastn flying in the distance and cried out even louder, waving frantically. "Please save us!"

Nina followed the direction of the voice and saw a group of beastn trapped below, surrounded and besieged by mutated beasts.

The creatures were attacking Nashe and her people viciously. Then, as if sensing sothing, several of the mutated beasts abruptly turned their heads toward Nina’s group.

Within monts, a portion of them abandoned their prey and charged toward Nina instead, screeching sharply as they ran—clearly calling for reinforcents.

Odian’s expression turned cold. "Ridan, take them down. Don’t let them summon more."

"Yes!"

Ridan and the other phoenix warriors dove downward at once.

Aviel and the dragons joined in as well.

Soon, Nina saw sothing familiar—lightning streaking across the sky, accompanied by the crackling snap-snap she had heard before.

She glanced at Aviel.

So it had been them who helped that ti.

The battle did not last long. The phoenix warriors and dragons swiftly eliminated the mutated beasts near Nina. Ridan even went on to clear out those surrounding Teah’s group.

Nashe watched in awe.

These beastn were incredibly powerful.

A thought began forming in her mind.

If they could travel with them, they wouldn’t have to fear mutated beasts anymore. And those who could fly were far faster than running on foot.

She tugged at the male beside her. "Father, they’re so strong. Let’s ask them to escort us to Half-Mountain Tribe!"

Tao nodded. "Yes. It will be safer with them."

He stepped forward and addressed Ridan politely. "Thank you for saving us. Your strength is remarkable. May we ask you to escort us to Half-Mountain Tribe? It isn’t far—only a few days’ journey."

Ridan noticed there were several females among them and did not dare make a decision on his own.

"I’ll consult our leader."

He flew upward and asked Nina, "Nina, the beastn below request that we escort them to a place called Half-Mountain Tribe—about a few days from here. There are several females among them, so I thought I should ask you."

These days, Nina was the one making all the decisions. There was no need to ask the priest anymore.

Nina asked Odian to descend a little lower so she could assess them.

There were roughly twenty of them, including six females.

She hesitated.

Should she help?

At that mont, the Spirit Pearl inside her suddenly glowed excitedly: Master, there’s sothing delicious.

Nina almost laughed.

Since they had been chased by mutated beasts, they likely possessed a primal stone. It seed this one might be special—if the pearl could sense it from such a distance.

Primal stones helped her strengthen her abilities quickly.

If she could exchange protection for it... that wasn’t a bad deal.

After all, they currently had no fixed destination.

"Take down," she told Odian.

Kith, Finch, and Aviel imdiately positioned themselves protectively beside her.

anwhile, Ridan and the others cleaned up the battlefield.

Teah’s eyes widened when she saw Odian and Kith up close.

These males were astonishingly handso—far more striking than any she had ever seen.

The other females behind her also stared in awe.

Among them, Nashe’s gaze sharpened with interest.

"You want our help?" Nina asked calmly.

Nashe glanced at Nina and instinctively showed disdain.

This female was rather plain-looking... though the cub in her arms was adorable.

Why did she have so many cubs? Were they picked up?

When she noticed Odian holding Nina’s hand, jealousy flickered in her eyes. Surely this handso male couldn’t truly like this plain female?

"We’re asking these males for help. Why are you speaking?" Nashe snapped irritably.

Ridan’s expression darkened. "How dare you speak disrespectfully to Nina? We will not help you. We only follow her commands."

Nashe staggered back in shock.

These powerful, unmated males were obeying a female? And this one had just scolded her—a beauty—so harshly?

Nina studied Nashe calmly. She had delicate features, like a girl next door.

Tao imdiately recognized the situation and pulled Nashe behind him.

"My apologies," he said respectfully to Nina. "Nashe is young and impulsive."

He bowed slightly. "Our tribe was destroyed by a swarm of mutated beasts. We are trying to seek refuge at Half-Mountain Tribe. But along the way, we keep encountering mutated beasts and have already lost many of our people."

He produced several beast crystals. "You are clearly powerful. If you escort us, we will compensate you."

Nina glanced at the crystals. "I’m not interested in beast crystals. I’d like to ask—do you have a special stone?"

Tao hesitated before producing a multicolored stone. "We do have this. I suspect it may be a primal stone."

"The mutated beasts likely chased you because of it," Nina said evenly. "I want this stone. If you agree to trade it, we’ll escort you to Half-Mountain Tribe."

Tao considered her request carefully. They had not found a way to absorb the stone’s power. If it truly attracted mutated beasts, keeping it was dangerous.

He made his decision quickly. "Very well. We will give it to you once we safely reach the tribe."

"Deal."

Nina wasn’t worried. With their strength, she wasn’t concerned about betrayal.

Tao pointed out the direction of Half-Mountain Tribe.

Just as Nina prepared to depart, a soft, coquettish voice interrupted.

"Hello, my na is Shui. There are too many mosquitoes in the forest. Could one of you carry while flying?"

She gently rubbed her arm, deliberately revealing small red bumps on her pale skin. Her large eyes shimred pitifully as she looked directly at Odian.

A smug thought flickered in her gaze. Surely he would choose her over that plain female.

She loved taking what belonged to others.

Nashe also stepped forward eagerly. "I want to fly too!"

Nina looked at Shui carefully. She was indeed pretty. But who was she looking at?

Was she coveting her boyfriend?

Odian hadn’t spared Shui a glance. His attention remained entirely on Nina.

Nina curled her lips slightly. "Perhaps not. Mosquitoes don’t bite just anyone."

She leaned up and kissed Odian lightly on the cheek. "Let’s go."

Odian’s eyes lit up with delight at her spontaneous affection. His lips curved upward as he lifted Nina and soared into the sky—completely ignoring Shui’s words.

Below, Kith and Finch couldn’t hide a flicker of envy.

Shui dug her fingernails into her palm. She was this beautiful, and he ignored her?

Suppressing her irritation, she turned sweetly to Kith and Finch. "Then... could one of you carry ?"

Her gaze lingered most on Aviel.

He radiated authority and nobility—clearly no ordinary beastman. And he was handso beyond compare.

She would claim him.

The other two were excellent as well.

Kith and Finch, however, ignored her entirely and followed below Nina’s flight path.

Shui gritted her teeth in frustration.

Fine.

If not them... She turned her attention toward Ridan and Viann instead.
