Kith transford into a massive white tiger and hurled himself into the fray, claws and fangs flashing as he tore into the mutated beasts. Beside him, Nina summoned thick vines that lashed out at the creatures charging toward them.

Kith and Finch were each locked in combat with two ninth-tier mutated beasts, unable to spare even a mont to help her.

A massive bolt of lightning struck Waor directly. He died instantly, plumting to the ground.

Haron, anwhile, was scorched black by Odian’s flas, his fur nearly burned away. Though stronger than Waor, he knew he was no match.

He crushed several energy stones in his hand.

Black mist filled the sky.

Odian imdiately activated purification, but it was a mont too late.

When the mist cleared, Haron had vanished, escaping with another energy stone.

Odian didn’t pursue. He flew down to Nina.

Aviel followed swiftly.

The remaining mutated beasts and black-winged beastn scattered in panic. Ridan and the others chased a few but did not pursue them far.

At last, the battlefield quieted.

Nina let out a trembling breath.

She turned to Kith, her voice tight with worry. "Kith, how are you? Are you alright?"

He forced a gentle tone. "I’m fine. Don’t worry."

But the weakness in his voice was unmistakable.

He was drenched in blood.

She hurriedly took out several high-grade healing pills. "Take these first. I’ll have my friend treat you."

Yanai was stronger than she was; his healing would be more effective. She herself was nearly exhausted.

Kith swallowed the pills. He hesitated, unsure whether to return to human form. He feared his blood-soaked appearance might frighten her.

He couldn’t bear to imagine what she had endured alone.
