Rosen turned her gaze toward the direction of Nina’s stone house. So she’s finally co out. A flicker of anticipation crossed her eyes—she was curious to see exactly what kind of wild female had managed to stir things up like this.

Nearby, Dian stood at the doorway, glaring with barely restrained anger. In a mont, he swore to himself, he would teach this audacious female—this one who had stolen his brother away—a proper lesson.

Lani and the others shared the sa curiosity. What sort of woman could possibly make Lex care so deeply?

"They’re Lex’s kin," Odian said calmly.

"Were they arguing just now?" Nina asked, her voice soft with curiosity.

"Nina, you don’t need to pay them any mind." A trace of irritation surfaced in Odian’s tone as he recalled Rosen’s earlier attitude.

Nina gave a small nod and continued walking forward.

The curtain at the doorway was slowly drawn aside, and a breathtaking figure erged.

Her dark hair cascaded like a waterfall, her figure graceful and fluid. Her eyes shimred like clear autumn waters, her nose delicate, her lips soft as cherry blossoms. She seed like the first light of dawn—radiant, luminous, impossible to ignore.

The mont Nina stepped out, the once-noisy courtyard fell silent, as though soone had pressed pause on the world itself.

Rosen’s eyes widened slightly, her entire body going still. She’s... unbelievably beautiful. A spark of delight lit up inside her—she liked her instantly.

Dian felt as though an invisible hand had clenched around his heart, forcing it to skip a beat before it began pounding wildly in his chest. Heat crept up to the tips of his ears, uncontrollable.

How can soone be this beautiful...

Lani’s handso face flushed faintly. So this was what land-dwelling females looked like—truly stunning.

The other sea-born beastn who had arrived with Rosen were equally entranced, their breaths unconsciously softening, as though afraid to disturb the mont.

So captivated were they by Nina’s beauty that none of them noticed the two small bundles nestled quietly in her arms.

"Master, she must be the wild female who bewitched Lex into giving up his position as city lord."

Dian stepped forward to Rosen’s side, pointing at Nina, his voice laced with provocation.

His words snapped Rosen and the others out of their daze.

Rosen shot him a sharp glare. Without hesitation, she raised her hand and delivered a resounding slap across his face. Unsatisfied, she followed it up with a forceful kick.

"What wild female? She’s my dearest daughter-in-law!"

Dian staggered back, stunned and aggrieved. Weren’t you two the ones shouting it the loudest earlier...?

Rosen turned back to Nina, her gaze softening instantly. My daughter-in-law is simply too beautiful...

What did that brat say her na was again?

Ah—Nina.

Rosen hurried forward, stopping right in front of her, her expression lighting up with warmth.

"Nina, I’m your mother-in-law."

Nina froze, startled.

My mother-in-law?

Since when... had she gained a mother-in-law?

She looked toward Rosen.

The woman was striking—long crimson hair cascading down her back, bright, lively eyes, and lips the color of fresh petals. There was sothing bold and radiant about her beauty, like a fla that refused to be ignored.

"You... you must have mistaken , right?" Nina took a small step back, caught off guard.

Lex quickly stepped forward and grabbed Rosen’s arm. "Mother, what are you doing?"

Rosen shot him an impatient glare. "Go away. I’m talking to my daughter-in-law."

Nina blinked, her gaze moving between Rosen and Lex. Daughter-in-law...?

Then it clicked.

So this woman was Lex’s mother.

"You’ve misunderstood," Nina said gently. "Lex isn’t my mate."

"It’s fine if he isn’t now—he can be in the future." Rosen casually pried Lex’s hand off her sleeve, utterly unconcerned.

In her heart, she had already decided—this daughter-in-law was hers.

She cast Lex a look of disdain. Useless child. He still hasn’t ford a bond with Nina.

Stepping forward again, her tone softened with a hint of apology. "I’m sorry, Nina. I was too loud earlier—did I wake you? I apologize. You won’t hold it against , will you?"

"It’s alright," Nina replied, a little embarrassed. "I was already awake."

"Mom... I want water..."

A soft, childlike voice interrupted them. "I feel dry..."

The tender, adorable tone imdiately drew everyone’s attention.

Rosen lowered her gaze—and her eyes widened in an instant.

Th-that was... a rfolk child. And not just any child—a rare and precious little female.

She turned in disbelief and smacked Lex lightly. "Lex, I’m not seeing things, am I? The one in Nina’s arms... that’s a rfolk girl?"

"You’re not mistaken." A faint smile curved Lex’s lips. "Mimi is my and Nina’s child."

Saying it aloud filled him with quiet happiness. Though neither Nina nor the child had fully accepted him yet, he would keep trying. One day, he would stand at her side as her true mate.

Lani’s fatherly instincts surged the mont he heard the words—his granddaughter. He had a granddaughter!

The other males who had co along were equally thrilled. Their Sea Blue City finally had a little princess.

Rosen, anwhile, was nearly overwheld with joy. This was her granddaughter—Nina’s child.

The realization struck her like a wave of pure delight, leaving her almost dizzy with happiness.

She gazed at the little one, affection overflowing from her eyes. Our little princess is far too adorable...

"Lex, get so water for her," Nina said.

"Oh—right." Lex hurried to fetch a large basin, filling it with fresh seawater.

Nina gently placed Mimi into the basin. At once, the little one splashed happily, tiny hands patting the water with delight.

"Her na is Mimi?" Rosen asked, her voice warm.

"That’s her nickna. Her full na is Mina Song," Nina replied.

"They’re both beautiful nas." Rosen smiled, then looked at Nina with a trace of careful hope in her voice. "Nina... would it be alright if I stayed here for a few days? I’d like to spend so ti with Mimi."

And with you, she added silently, though a flicker of worry crossed her mind—what if Nina was still upset about earlier and refused?

Nina hesitated, glancing at the surrounding stone houses. "You can... but we’re a bit short on space as it is."

There were already quite a few beastfolk living here; every house was filled.

"That’s no problem—I’ll have them build a few more right away."

Rosen bead, excitent lighting up her face. Nina had agreed!

She crouched beside the basin, gently splashing water toward the child. "Mimi, I’m your grandmother. Will you play with ?"

Lani eagerly dropped to a crouch as well, pulling out a handful of pearls and gemstones. "Mimi, I’m your grandfather. These are all for you—do you like them?"

The little girl paddled closer to Nina instead, clutching her hand silently.

Rosen nudged Lani aside. "Don’t scare her."

Nina stroked the child’s head soothingly. "It’s alright, Mimi. They’re your grandparents."

Though she and Lex were not truly together, the bond of blood between them could not be denied.

As long as they treated Mimi with genuine care, she didn’t mind letting her acknowledge them. More love for the child could only be a good thing.

Mimi nodded, then reached out and took a large pink pearl from Lani’s hand, turning it over curiously.

Lani’s face lit up with joy. He understood—it would take ti. They had only just t; the child needed to grow familiar with them.

So he stayed nearby, keeping her company, occasionally placing starfish and seashells into the basin for her to play with.

Seeing that Mimi was no longer afraid, Nina allowed her to swim freely.

The mont Nina stood up, Dian and Jiro hurried over, eager to speak with her.

"Nina... hello," Dian said, his face flushing faintly. "My na is Dian. I’m nineteen."

"Nina, I’m Jiro," the other added shyly. "Would you... be willing to be friends with ?"
