Earlier in the evening, she had scouted the surroundings as Claire Warner.

To get inside the building, you had to swipe a card at the turnstiles.

But she could easily bypass the turnstiles by climbing over the side.

’I just don’t know if I’ll be able to find Wayne Warner.’

Two security guards were also posted by the turnstiles.

Nina Jacobs silently moved to the side and vaulted over the barrier.

The two guards were completely oblivious.

The building had five floors in total: three above ground and two below.

After finding the downward staircase, she headed for the first basent level.

Dylan Quinn had said "sent down."

That ant she had to prioritize searching the lower levels first.

The first basent level was much larger than she had imagined, and it was brightly lit all around.

Nina Jacobs checked the ti.

It had already taken her ten minutes just to get here.

As she continued forward, a tal door caught her eye.

The tal door was incredibly thick, resembling the radiation-proof doors used for CT scanners in hospitals.

Right now, the door was open.

Light spilled out from within, and she could faintly see bloodstains on the walls.

No one was around.

Nina Jacobs walked right in.

But once inside, she realized she was in the wrong place.

It looked like a sterile room.

Besides the scent of blood, the air slled of disinfectant alcohol.

Inside was a bed, with a frail figure lying on it.

That person was definitely not Wayne Warner.

Since it wasn’t Wayne Warner, she didn’t plan on investigating any further.

After all, ti was tight, so she prepared to leave.

Just then, however, several people walked in.

Nina Jacobs imdiately ducked to the side.

The man in the lead was, surprisingly, Dylan Quinn.

He reeked of blood, and his forehead was beaded with sweat.

It was as if he had just finished a massacre.

"Clean the entrance. Don’t let Faye see this."

Dylan Quinn said to the people behind him.

They were two won in nurses’ uniforms. Both nodded imdiately and began to wipe the bloodstains from the wall.

Only then did Dylan Quinn walk toward the person on the bed.

"Feeling any better?"

Hearing Dylan Quinn’s voice, Nina Jacobs started looking for a way to leave.

The Invisibility Potion only had a little over ten minutes left.

If she beca visible here, she’d be walking right into a trap.

But after cleaning the blood from the walls, the two won dressed as nurses closed the tal door and left.

’Opening the door is bound to make a noise.’

She had no choice but to find a place to hide for now.

"Dylan, you’re here.

Have you still not found the dicine?"

The woman on the hospital bed reached a withered, gaunt hand toward Dylan Quinn.

"No. Faye, you need to have faith in yourself.

You can move and speak now, which is a hundred tis better than before.

I swear I’ll find a way to cure you."

There was a hint of desperation in Dylan Quinn’s voice.

"I’m not afraid, really. Seth is already waiting for .

Even if I pass on, soone will be there with , right?"

As if triggered by a mory, the woman began to cough violently.

"Get every available Healer over here."

Dylan Quinn rushed to the door and shouted.

Hiding behind a table, Nina Jacobs heard what sounded like a Healer being brought over.

"Why just her? Are the others I’m keeping all useless?"

Dylan Quinn demanded.

"Mr. Quinn, the others only got off their shift half an hour ago.

Their Superpowers really haven’t recovered.

But Miss Faye is very satisfied with her healing results.

Don’t let her age fool you. Her healing technique is top-notch."

After the person’s hurried explanation, Dylan Quinn shut the door again.

"Heal her."

Dylan Quinn commanded, looking at the little girl before him.

He was only satisfied when the girl, without hesitation, walked to the bedside with practiced ease and began to use her healing technique.

The woman’s coughing finally stopped.

"Faye, I won’t let you use that potion.

You know that, right?

I heard about a potion that can cure any illness instantly.

It can heal any wound, even cancer.

I will find that potion for you."

Dylan Quinn said.

"You silly boy, how could a potion like that exist?

The outside world is full of the zombie virus. If a potion like that existed,

then no one would have to be afraid of the zombie virus, would they..."

Perhaps due to the treatnt, the woman’s hospital bed was raised, and Nina Jacobs froze when she got a look.

She had the voice of a young woman, but the face of an old crone.

The Healer beside her, however, was a little girl about seven or eight years old.

The little girl’s profile looked sowhat familiar.

In the mont it took to lower the bed, Nina Jacobs slipped into a nearby dical supply cart.

What caught her attention were Dylan Quinn’s words.

A potion that could heal wounds and illnesses.

It reminded her of the system’s Healing Potion.

’Was Dylan Quinn just saying that to comfort her?’

"I heard it from soone who ca over from City A.

He would have no reason to lie to .

Instead of using a Euthanasia Potion, why don’t we just wait a little longer?"

"Besides, I ran into Wayne Warner while I was out."

"Wayne... Warner?"

Faye Quinn asked doubtfully.

"The security guard from the manor. He must have done sothing.

Once I find out what, I will definitely avenge Seth."

"Oh, him. I rember now.

If it’s him, he would never do sothing like that."

Faye Quinn seed to recall sothing.

"He took in a little girl he didn’t even know and raised her like a sister.

He wouldn’t let anyone bully her.

He couldn’t possibly do sothing like that."

Faye Quinn said.

"Even if he didn’t do it, he must know sothing.

It’s just that he seems to have suffered so brain damage. I’ll find a way to make him talk."

Dylan Quinn’s gaze turned more sinister as he recalled Wayne Warner, who refused to speak but would stare back at him with defiant eyes.

’That Wayne Warner... he definitely knows everything.’

"It doesn’t matter anymore.

Aren’t you hiding things from , too?"

After Faye Quinn spoke from the hospital bed, they both fell into silence.

"Sir, the treatnt is finished."

The little girl at the side spoke up.

"Clean up, and take this dirty stuff out.

Faye doesn’t like the sll."

Hearing Dylan Quinn say this, the girl nodded, gathered a pile of disinfectant supplies, and placed them on the cart.

CLINK.

The sound of sothing falling echoed in the quiet room.

Nina Jacobs hadn’t realized there was a vial of potion in the cart.

She watched the liquid from the vial she had knocked over spill out.

She knew there was no getting out of this one.

The Invisibility Potion had already worn off.

The sound had already attracted footsteps.

They sounded like the little girl’s.

"What was that sound?"

Nina Jacobs heard Dylan Quinn’s voice ask from a short distance away.

She was ready to strike at a mont’s notice.

The cloth flap on the bottom of the cart was lifted, and Nina Jacobs saw a small, startled face.

The girl saw her, too.

Then, she placed a finger to her lips before lowering the fabric flap again.

"Sorry, Mr. Quinn.

I accidentally knocked sothing over.

I’ll clean it up."

Seeing that Dylan Quinn paid her no further mind, the girl opened the door and, with so effort, pushed the cart out.

She was only a head taller than the cart, but her steps were remarkably steady.

After a few more turns, she pushed the cart into a windowless room.

The girl closed and locked the door.

She then quickly walked over to the cart and pulled back the fabric flap.

"This is my break room.

No one else is here. How did you get in here, miss?"

The girl squatted by the cart, looking at Nina Jacobs.

Her eyes were filled with delight.

The corners of her eyes seed to be glistening with tears, though it was unclear if it was from the scare just monts ago.
