Because Wayne Warner still couldn’t move, Nina Jacobs had to feed him.

He ate quickly, and in no ti, he’d polished off three cartons of lean pork porridge.

Nina Jacobs then fed him a few at buns.

Watching Wayne Warner devour a whole at bun in a single bite, most of Nina Jacobs’s worries vanished.

"That’s all you can eat for now."

Nina Jacobs rembered it was best for patients to eat small, frequent als to aid their recovery.

"Okay."

She had expected Wayne Warner to be disappointed, but to her surprise, he readily agreed.

Soon after he finished eating, Wayne Warner fell into a deep sleep again.

Nina Jacobs noticed that so of the wounds on his skin were already starting to heal slowly.

’At least the bleeding has stopped.’

’The rest will just take ti to heal.’

The safe house only had one room.

For a bit of privacy, Nina Jacobs arranged a few cabinets to serve as a partition.

’Co to think of it, I picked up these cabinets back then.’

Nina Jacobs muttered to herself, looking at the display cabinet with Gold Bars still inside its glass case.

It was a counter she’d taken from the Superpower User Alliance compound.

The situation was urgent, so she’d just taken everything.

’I wonder if I can get sothing extra out of this deal.’

Nina Jacobs rembered Tyson Hughes saying this shipnt of weapons and supplies had apparently been dispatched from the main branch of the Hughes Family.

The goal was to help Quinn establish a firm foothold in the City D Base.

However, from what Zane Hughes had said, it seed soone from the main branch wanted to fra Tyson Hughes.

If that was the case, it was hard to say who this shipnt of weapons was really for.

’In her past life, Tyson Hughes was supposed to die within these two days.’

’And in this life, Simon Abbott had specifically co back to warn him about it.’

’So, on whose orders did Dylan Quinn kill Tyson Hughes?’

Early the next morning, Nina Jacobs was already lying in wait at the golf course.

Before she left, however, Wayne Warner had already eaten breakfast.

Worried she’d be gone for a long ti, she had left plenty of food in the safe house.

After a night of recovery, Wayne Warner was now able to lift his arms.

His fingers still couldn’t hold anything too heavy, but he could manage a fork and spoon.

She had told Wayne Warner to wait for her to return in the safe house.

Just as Nina Jacobs was spawning a Little Zombie Rat out of sheer boredom, a whirring sound echoed from the sky, growing steadily closer.

’They’re here!’

It was a helicopter.

The helicopter quickly landed on the dead grass in the middle of the golf course.

Seven or eight people stepped out of the helicopter.

A closer look revealed that three of them had thick, heavy tal chains shackled to their ankles.

"Why aren’t they here yet?"

A tall man, the leader of the group, surveyed the area with an impatient look on his face.

"Yeah, we ca all this way to deliver their stuff, and this is the welco we get?"

"If we didn’t have to worry about the possibility of zombie crows over there, we would’ve just dropped this off right at their compound."

"Let’s just wait a little longer, Young," a man carrying a rifle said, sitting down off to the side. "They probably ran into so trouble on the road."

"Silas Young, can you get these things off our ankles? We’re here now. It’s not like we’re going to run, right?" one of the shackled n said.

"No. It’s policy. If sothing goes wrong, none of us can bear the responsibility," the tall man, Silas Young, said.

"We risk our lives for this, and we’re still treated like thieves. It’s tough being a Space Superpower User."

Another man said, shaking his head in resignation.

"What can you do? Wasn’t there that Space Superpower User who loaded up on a ton of stuff and then just vanished? That guy, Xavier Coleman. Back then, Hughes and the others thought so highly of him, but he just had to go and run off. Tell , who wouldn’t be pissed about that?"

With the scorching sun overhead, the n started chatting under the shade of so nearby eaves.

What they didn’t know was that Nina Jacobs was just on the other side of a wall from them.

She was currently listening with great relish to their gossip.

"So we Space Superpower Users are just ant to be tools. We’ll probably never get a chance to get ahead in life. How tragic..."

"There’s another way. If you Space Superpower Users could just awaken another Superpower, wouldn’t that be perfect?" one of the n beside Silas Young said.

"Exactly. Like that woman from our City A, the one with the surna Xie. She’s a Three-Elent Superpower User. She has Space, Thunder Elent, and... what was the other one?"

"Spiritual Elent Superpower."

Silas Young added.

"Right, right, that’s it! Spiritual Elent. Every one of her Superpowers is sothing to be jealous of. That broad even managed to awaken a Spiritual Elent..."

’A Three-Elent Superpower User with the surna Xie?’

Nina Jacobs was genuinely surprised.

’Has soone really awakened three elents only two months into the apocalypse?’

Her interest piqued, she continued to listen, and what the n said next caught her attention even more.

"Have you guys heard about that potion? The one that can even cure cancer. It’s incredible."

"Is that for real? If a dicine that powerful really exists, why can’t it cure the zombie virus?" one of his companions asked doubtfully.

"It’s true. I saw it with my own eyes." Silas Young looked toward the distant helicopter, his expression puzzled as he recalled the event.

"For real? If you’re the one saying it, Young, then I believe you."

It seed to be the first ti any of them had heard this, and they all looked shocked.

"After drinking that potion, a person’s wounds heal right before your eyes. It’s like a magic elixir..." Silas Young said.

"So where does that potion co from?"

Silas Young shook his head.

"We don’t know. All we know is that soone high up spent a fortune to get their hands on it."

"That makes sense. If its existence were made public, people would probably be killing each other to get it..."

The n’s conversation made Nina Jacobs suspicious.

’Why does this sound more and more like the System’s Healing Potion?’

Hearing it from one person could be a coincidence.

But now that this man, Silas Young, was saying it too, it was very likely true.

She was certain that her Healing Potions had never gotten out.

Even when she’d used them to help others, they were always diluted so heavily that they wouldn’t heal wounds at a rate visible to the naked eye.

But this Silas Young had seen it in City A.

That ant it definitely had nothing to do with her.

There was perhaps only one other possibility.

She wasn’t the only one with a System...

As soon as the thought occurred to her, Nina Jacobs couldn’t resist calling up her System.

[Host’s question exceeds the System’s known permissions. Unable to answer.]

This was the answer Nina Jacobs had expected.

Still, Nina Jacobs thought this might not necessarily be a bad thing.

At least, it didn’t affect her for now.

In her past life, City A had been a hotbed of power struggles within Drakonia.

It was also where the largest number of Drakonia’s survivors were located.

She’d had no dealings with City A in her past life.

’And she probably wouldn’t in this life, either.’

Just as Nina Jacobs was continuing to listen to the n share all sorts of information about City A, a noise finally ca from the golf course’s main gate.

"They’re here."

Silas Young saw Dylan Quinn and his group walking toward them.

However, Dylan Quinn and his n looked clearly disheveled and worn out.

Even the supply trucks following them showed varying degrees of damage.

"Young, long ti no see."

Although Dylan Quinn was seething with anger, he still offered a polite apology upon seeing Silas Young and his n.

"Soone deliberately led zombies to you? No wonder you’re so late. Will you be able to get back okay?" one of Silas Young’s n asked with a frown.

Taking all these weapons back... are these guys really going to be okay?

"Don’t worry, Young. I’ve already sent soone back for reinforcents. The weapons are the priority, and we will be sure to handle them with the utmost care."
