After I Fully Prepared for the Apocalypse, the Ungrateful Cried with Regret Chapter 147: Transformation
"What did you say?"
Shiloh thought he must have misheard.
"I said, you should make sure your eyes are working before you leave the house.
We found this place first."
She hated being greeted with bullets.
"Do you have any idea what you’re saying?
You dare to steal our supplies?"
It was the first ti Shiloh had ever t soone who dared to speak to him like that.
She was even pointing the tip of her knife at him.
"What a coincidence. It’s you again."
Phoebe Vance stepped down from the vehicle.
They had to admit, the two people before them were a shock.
’Could they really have been the ones who took care of all these zombies?’
"We discovered this pharmacy yesterday,"
"but had to put it aside for so reason."
"So, we’ll have to ask you to step aside,"
Phoebe Vance said.
But no matter how capable they were, there were only two of them.
"I really have to admire you, miss,"
"to be able to maintain such a thick skin."
"If you’re going to say that, then I might as well say I discovered all the supplies on these few streets first."
"So why don’t you all take a detour?"
Nina Jacobs scoffed, amused by their audacity.
It was just a pharmacy. Not really a big deal.
But she refused to indulge these people.
"You..."
Phoebe Vance had never been spoken to like that before.
’She actually called shaless?’
"The zombies here... did you two kill them all?"
Finn Hart stepped out of the vehicle.
Phoebe Vance was a little surprised. After all, unless it was a special situation, the mysophobic Finn Hart was never willing to get out of the vehicle.
"Looks like soone here has eyes after all,"
Nina Jacobs replied.
"Are you interested in joining us?
We’ll guarantee you food and shelter."
Finn Hart asked after a mont of silence.
Such powerful, lone Superpower Users were a rare and valuable find.
They had lost quite a few people in the last few days.
"Not interested."
Nina Jacobs refused without hesitation.
"Why?"
Finn Hart didn’t understand.
’I’m already willing to overlook how filthy they are.’
"I’m not interested in people who think it’s their right to take things from others."
Nina Jacobs was getting impatient.
"You’re Fire Elent, he’s Strength Elent."
"If you’re looking for dicine, you’re welco to take so."
"You won’t be able to carry the rest anyway."
Finn Hart felt he was already being generous enough.
But Nina Jacobs didn’t seem to appreciate it.
"Originally, I was just looking for one type of dicine."
"But now, I plan to load it all up and take it with ."
"This little brat has a real sharp tongue."
"How about I fight them?"
"Winner takes all."
Jordan Vaughn also stepped forward and said.
"Fine by ."
"One round to decide it."
"The loser voluntarily gives up this pharmacy."
Nina Jacobs said imdiately upon hearing him.
"Don’t speak too soon."
"If you lose, don’t even think about taking a single pill."
Finn Hart simply thought the woman before him was overestimating herself.
As fellow Fire Elent Superpower Users, no one was stronger than Jordan Vaughn.
Jordan Vaughn had originally intended to take them both on.
However, Nina Jacobs seed to only intend to fight him one-on-one.
"It’s not too late to give up the pharmacy now."
"Ordinary people shouldn’t even think about claiming supplies."
"It’s just a waste if you take them."
Jordan Vaughn’s words were just as harsh.
Nina Jacobs didn’t respond further, simply telling Wayne Warner to stand aside and wait.
"She’s so ungrateful."
"Why make Vaughn waste his Superpower on her?"
Shiloh grumbled in dissatisfaction.
"That may be true,"
"but so people just need to be taught a lesson."
Jane Dixon, inside the car, snorted coldly.
’I’d like to see just what that female Superpower User outside has to be so arrogant about.’
At that mont, a flicker of surprise flashed in Jordan Vaughn’s eyes.
After just two exchanges,
Nina Jacobs was sohow able to effortlessly neutralize his Fire Elent attacks with her knife?
"That’s a nice knife you’ve got."
Jordan Vaughn attributed it all to the knife’s quality.
Nina Jacobs gave a cold smile.
While seemingly dodging his attacks, she was also secretly closing the distance between them.
As she sidestepped another one of Jordan Vaughn’s Fireballs, she appeared behind him.
"Vaughn, look out!"
Before Shiloh’s words could even fade, Jordan Vaughn felt an unbearable, sharp pain strike his back.
"I didn’t use the knife this ti. What do you think?"
As Nina Jacobs retreated, a cloud of flas erupted around her.
With a wave of her hand, the flas surged madly toward Jordan Vaughn.
"Pathetic little flas. Watch absorb you."
Jordan Vaughn quickly condensed a Fireball.
The Fireball in his palm transford into a fiery vortex, spinning as it tried to absorb all the flas.
In his eyes, simple flas were the weakest form of attack.
To his astonishnt, however, the flas passed straight through his fiery vortex!
He had no choice but to shift his position to dodge, but he was still burned in several places by Nina Jacobs’s flas.
"Only won like you would bother with these flashy, useless little tricks."
Jordan Vaughn found the tiny flas incredibly annoying.
He spat on the ground.
"Is that so?
Because you’re about to lose."
Nina Jacobs didn’t want to drag this out any longer.
The small flas from before quickly gathered in mid-air.
Each wisp of fire seed to contain imnse energy, swelling and expanding in the air.
BOOM!
A Fire Serpent with a long, coiling tail opened its great maw in mid-air.
It lunged toward Jordan Vaughn on the ground with the speed of a thunderbolt!
"Fla transformation?"
Finn Hart watched this scene in shock.
He had heard of a technique called "Superpower Transformation" back in City A.
It was said that almost no one could perform it currently.
He never expected to see it here.
Jordan Vaughn hurriedly condensed Fireballs to defend himself.
But they were no match for the Fire Serpent.
His attacks couldn’t even disperse the tip of the serpent’s tail.
He had no choice but to dodge pathetically.
"The pharmacy is yours! Don’t kill him."
Finn Hart had to step in and stop her.
But the Fire Serpent didn’t stop.
BOOM!
Watching the Fire Serpent charge at him with its mouth wide open, Jordan Vaughn fell to the ground in a pathetic heap.
The Fire Serpent shot past his ear.
The whistling sound made his eardrums ache.
A rock next to him was instantly shattered by the impact.
"Oh dear, it seems I missed."
Nina Jacobs said with feigned regret.
"But you won’t be so lucky next ti."
She dispelled the Fire Serpent and turned toward the pharmacy.
If no one else were here, she would have killed Jordan Vaughn without a second thought.
But that would an making an enemy of these several hundred people.
The loss would outweigh the gain.
"Fire Snake Transformation" was a technique she had developed over the past two days.
Today was the first ti she had ever used it.
She had to admit, the effect was impressive, but it really drained her Superpower.
After all, transformation required using one’s Superpower to precisely Control every single inch of the construct.
"You lost."
Finn Hart saw that Jordan Vaughn was still sitting collapsed on the ground.
His face was deathly pale.
For so reason, he was reminded of the charred corpses in front of Verdant Supermarket...
Inside the pharmacy, Nina Jacobs indeed found the nutritional supplents Wayne Warner needed.
And there was a large quantity, more than enough for him.
The people outside didn’t seem to have any intention of leaving.
"Since soone’s helping us block the zombies, we can’t let them down, can we?"
She was going to take all the remaining dicine, too.
Wayne Warner nodded and opened his hiking backpack, which was half his height.
Nina Jacobs gave Wayne Warner a thumbs-up.
She dumped all the bottled dicines inside in one go.
As for the boxed dicines, she and Wayne Warner tore open the packaging and put only the contents into the backpack.
After storing so more in her system’s storage slots,
the two of them were still carrying large and small bags.
They had cleaned out most of the pharmacy.
Only so family planning products were left.
"We’ll leave these for them to use at their leisure,"
Nina Jacobs said with a cold laugh.
