During this ti, Nina Jacobs completed over twenty scavenging missions in City J.

That was more than the total number she had done in City D.

Moreover, most of the missions were five-star, followed by four-star.

And most importantly, she had found the Mystic Ice Core and beco an Interdiate Superpower User.

’Going out to gain experience really is important.’

All that was left was to return to City D, sell the supplies, and upgrade her system.

As night fell, the snores of the exhausted team rose and fell throughout the abandoned factory after two straight days of intense zombie-killing and travel.

Soone was on watch, but no one noticed a figure quietly slipping out.

Nina Jacobs had used a bottle of Invisibility Potion.

[Apocalyptic Survival Mission Activated: Scavenging Mission 41

Mission Rewards: 1 System Storage Slot, 120 Experience Points.

Mission Difficulty: ★★★★]

She had accepted this mission for one reason.

It involved seeds.

Nina Jacobs’s Little Zombie Rat could only be used by accelerating the growth of seeds with her Wood Elent Superpower.

The number of seeds she had stockpiled before the apocalypse was still far too small.

That was why she had accepted this mission.

Following the system map, Nina Jacobs used her Speed Elent Superpower to head straight to her destination.

The advantage of this thod was that if she encountered any zombies, she could imdiately hide in her safe house.

She wouldn’t have to worry about being trapped in a car by zombies.

However, she still used her Earth Elent Superpower to kill quite a few zombies along the way.

The seed wholesaler wasn’t too far away.

Perhaps because seeds weren’t essential supplies, there weren’t many zombies around, despite the location being near the suburbs.

Inside Sterling’s seed warehouse.

Regardless of variety, Nina Jacobs collected all the seeds into her system storage.

The mission went smoothly.

But just as she was about to turn the street corner, she clearly sensed sothing hiding there.

’A mutated zombie?’

Nina Jacobs rembered that she had just cleared out all the zombies in the vicinity.

She drew her Fire Roaring Blade, holding it defensively in front of her.

Just as the two seed about to strike simultaneously, the other party suddenly spoke up:

"Hold on, I’m not a zombie!"

’Huh?’

Nina Jacobs found the voice sowhat familiar.

So familiar it was almost unbelievable.

Once they got a clear look at each other, Nina Jacobs exclaid in shock,

"It’s you?"

Chester Pearson hadn’t expected to run into Nina Jacobs when he went out in the middle of the night.

He even thought he must still be dreaming.

"Nina Jacobs?!

What are you doing here?!"

It turned out that Chester Pearson had learned from Daniel Hale that the zombies on the past two streets had been gradually disappearing for so unknown reason.

He had grown curious and co out to investigate.

He never expected to run into Nina Jacobs.

"Uncle Hale is here too?!"

After hearing the reason, Nina Jacobs was even more surprised.

She hadn’t realized the City D rescue team would also venture deep into City J to collect supplies.

’No wonder I felt like my system’s scavenging missions had been refreshing much more slowly.’

But her system storage was nearly full anyway.

She didn’t mind the rescue team taking so of the supplies.

...

Inside a sowhat dilapidated building.

Daniel Hale’s Spiritual Elent Superpower had already sensed one person returning outside the door.

"That must be Chester Pearson coming back."

Daniel Hale signaled for the team mbers inside to open the door.

No zombies ant it was safe.

"I wonder what caused that situation outside earlier."

Ian Chandler was also waiting for Chester Pearson to return.

But when the people inside the house saw who ca in through the door, Ian Chandler shot up from his chair.

"Nina... Jacobs?"

Ian Chandler thought he was just exhausted and his eyes were playing tricks on him.

"Nina?

Is that really you?"

Daniel Hale couldn’t believe it either.

It wasn’t until Nina Jacobs walked up to them that she said:

"It’s . I just happened to run into Chester Pearson outside."

"So you killed all those zombies by yourself?

It’s too dangerous to be out at this ti!"

Daniel Hale was first surprised, then worried.

’Why is she out alone so late at night?’

’Could Nina Jacobs have run into so kind of trouble?’

"I was out looking for sothing..."

Nina Jacobs didn’t know how to explain.

"Nina Jacobs, have you been okay all this ti?

We were all so worried about you."

Ian Chandler didn’t know what to say.

He had so many questions he wanted to ask, but as soon as he saw Nina Jacobs, he couldn’t rember a single one.

Seeing the three of them looking at her with concern,

Nina Jacobs simply sat down and briefly recounted what had happened over the past few days.

"When that kid Shirley Lucas told us you’d gone to City J, we were all shocked,"

Chester Pearson said.

Everyone else was fleeing City J for their lives.

But Nina Jacobs did the exact opposite.

However, it was this very action from Nina Jacobs that gave Myra Lawson an idea.

The supplies in City D were limited; they could go to other places to get more.

"But Nina,

why can’t my Spiritual Elent Superpower detect you?"

Daniel Hale had actually been wanting to ask this question for a while.

A Spiritual Elent Superpower can detect all people and zombies in the vicinity.

Just now, he had clearly sensed only one person outside the door.

"It’s... a long story.

I found so good stuff."

Nina Jacobs had no intention of hiding the matter of the Mystic Ice Core.

Because its existence would be discovered sooner or later.

For all of Drakonia, the sooner the existence of the Mystic Ice Core was discovered, the better.

"What’s this?"

When Nina Jacobs took out a few objects that looked like Mystic Iron but reflected a glossy sheen, all three of them were captivated.

"I discovered a type of Water Elent Zombie in City J. They can create Ice Elent Skills.

Out of curiosity, Wayne Warner and I followed this lead..."

Nina Jacobs’s story was logical and reasonable.

From discovery to curiosity, from investigation to exploration, and finally to the conclusion.

There wasn’t a single flaw.

"Nina Jacobs... you absorbed this?"

Ian Chandler found it hard to imagine.

Because in his eyes, Nina Jacobs was extrely cautious.

’How could she so easily absorb sothing of unknown origin?’

"Ahem... It was an accident...

I absorbed it without realizing. Luckily, there were no problems."

’I didn’t think this kid would be so hard to fool now.’

Still, Ian Chandler was quick to believe her.

"Next ti you find sothing like this, Nina Jacobs, you should bring it back first.

I’ll have a professional analyze it before we do anything."

Ian Chandler said with a serious expression.

"Mm, I think you have a good point."

Nina Jacobs also nodded gravely.

"So, you’re saying if we absorb this stuff,

we can avoid detection by Spiritual Elent Superpowers?"

Daniel Hale looked at the "stone" in his hand.

It did indeed feel a bit cool to the touch.

And it seed to contain so kind of energy, making him subconsciously want to grip it tighter...

"You can try absorbing them."

Nina Jacobs offered generously.

She had taken out a total of three Mystic Ice Cores.

She had over thirty more of them.

She planned to keep about ten in her storage as a backup.

The rest she would trade away.

She didn’t feel bad about letting Daniel Hale and the other two absorb them.

After all, there were probably more Mystic Ice Cores to be found in other places.

"Sothing this precious...

It wouldn’t be right to just take it, would it?

Why don’t you... na a price?"

Chester Pearson really wanted one, but he felt he couldn’t take advantage of Nina Jacobs.

"Just pay whatever you think is fair in Crystal Cores."

Nina Jacobs hadn’t expected Chester Pearson to be so polite about it.

But she wasn’t going to refuse, either.

After they agreed on a price, Chester Pearson indeed seed much more at ease.
