Now reading: Chapter 225: The Cannery from After I Fully Prepared for the Apocalypse, the Ungrateful Cried with Regret, a Sci-fi novel by Slowly Voiced Prayer.

But this was exactly the effect Nina Jacobs was aiming for.

The more people speculated, the more mysterious Claire Warner’s identity would beco.

"I wonder if she sells any baby supplies. We still need to get one-month-old gifts for the two little ones,"

Yvonne Willow said.

"Next ti you go, rember to call .

I want to check it out too."

Leo Hale was also very curious about what kind of little shop it was.

"You don’t have to give us anything..."

’My own people buying my things to give to my own people?’

If Leo Hale and the others really went to buy sothing, she wouldn’t even know how to price it for them.

That morning, it took Nina Jacobs and the rescue team just over an hour to clear the rest of the road.

"Great! That’s Sunbeam Solar Solutions up ahead!"

Chester Pearson said excitedly.

After so many days, they had finally reached their destination.

"Yeah, we’re finally here."

Nina Jacobs noticed they were still a short distance from the Eden Canning Factory.

If she used her Speed Elent Superpower and took another path, it would take about six minutes.

’Looks like I’ll have to find an excuse to slip away for a bit.’

But before that, they had to clear out all the zombies in the industrial park ahead.

Sunbeam Solar Solutions had onsite dormitories.

And it was a massive company. Although most of the zombies had rushed out onto the roads during the initial outbreak, a portion of them were still trapped inside.

Watching the rusty iron gate shake violently as it was pounded from within, everyone prepared themselves.

"Open the gate."

Chester Pearson said to Leo Hale, who was beside him.

"Wait a second."

Nina Jacobs stopped Leo Hale.

"We have such a perfect setup. Shouldn’t we take advantage of it first?"

"Setup?"

Leo Hale looked at Nina Jacobs, his eyes instantly lighting up with joy.

"That’s right!

If we just open the gate, the zombies will swarm out all at once.

But if they run into a trap we’ve already set, we can take them out with half the effort, right?"

’How did I not think of that?’

"Exactly. Never forget the value of a good trap."

Nina Jacobs started by spreading a layer of liquid fire on the ground.

Any zombie that stepped on it would be instantly incinerated.

anwhile, Leo Hale began setting up tal wires. Any zombie that rushed out and touched his wires would be imdiately sliced into pieces.

"What about this? Does this count as a trap?"

Caius Stone used his Earth Elent Superpower to create rows of Stone Spikes on the ground.

"It counts. Anything that can harm zombies counts."

After Nina Jacobs spoke, Caius Stone felt like he’d been praised and started using his Superpower with even more vigor.

Seeing this, the other Earth Elent Superpower Users refused to be outdone.

In no ti, the area in front of them had transford into a fiery field bristling with Stone Spikes.

Below the Stone Spikes was Nina Jacobs’s liquid fire.

Above were Leo Hale’s tal wires.

"This looks pretty damn good. Can we open the gate now?"

Chester Pearson asked.

They were all eager to see the results.

"Yes, we’re ready."

Nina Jacobs guessed that the zombies trapped inside the park were mostly ordinary ones.

After all, any Mutated Zombie with a bit of ability would have climbed over the walls and escaped long ago.

Her guess was correct.

When the large gate was opened, the famished horde of zombies sward toward the group.

However, before they could even get close, their bodies were engulfed in raging flas.

The forest of Stone Spikes blocked their path, allowing them to burn thoroughly in the fire.

A few Mutated Zombies tried to leap over the top, only to be diced into several pieces by the invisible tal wires.

Even the snipers on the side, who were providing support with their weapons, were stunned by the sight.

"Damn, that’s satisfying,"

Caius Stone said.

It was the first ti they had seen zombies being killed so effortlessly.

"By the sa logic, different elents can be combined to create unexpected traps,

including Wind Elent and Wood Elent.

Each person’s Superpower can be its own unique school of thought; it all depends on how you use it..."

So of what Nina Jacobs said ca from the various elental Skill Books, and so were her own insights.

Her words made everyone forget they were even in the middle of killing zombies.

Wayne Warner simply squatted to the side, waiting for any stragglers that slipped through the trap.

He took out one zombie with a single punch, clearly enjoying himself.

Chase Gallagher and Jessica Vance also conjured a Wind Elent tornado.

Seeing this, Ian Chandler sent sharp Wood Elent leaves into their tornado, and the combination of the three of them produced surprisingly high damage.

"’Focus on offense, with defense as support?’

I get it now!"

A Wood Elent Superpower User in the crowd had a sudden epiphany.

The problem that had been troubling him seed to be instantly resolved after hearing what Nina Jacobs said.

"This is just my personal take on it.

Alright, I’m going to scout the surrounding area in a bit. You all should gather the supplies as quickly as possible."

Nina Jacobs had already scanned the inside with her "Five Senses Enhancent" and determined there was no more danger.

"Sis, should we send a few people to go with you?"

Ian Chandler asked.

"No need. I can go by myself."

She had already calculated the ti needed for the round trip and for collecting the goods.

Using her Speed Elent Superpower, half an hour would be more than enough.

"Alright then. Don’t go too far. I’ll take the others to gather the supplies."

Chester Pearson assud Nina Jacobs was just going to scout the rest of the industrial park.

But seven minutes later, Nina Jacobs was already alone, running toward the back of the Eden Canning Factory.

’Not a single zombie?’

Nina Jacobs found it strange.

She tried using her "Five Senses Enhancent" and imdiately discovered sothing unusual.

On the other side of the canning factory, soone was killing zombies.

’Looks like they’re here to collect supplies.’

Today was the second day ntioned in the system task.

If she had arrived any later, the supplies here might have really been taken by soone else.

Since the system said the supplies here would be ’lost,’

that ant the Space Superpower User who took these supplies was going to run into trouble.

’I have to hurry.’

Without hesitation, Nina Jacobs vaulted over the wall.

All the zombies inside and outside the canning factory had already been lured away.

Inside the silent canning factory, Nina Jacobs checked the factory map and then headed straight for the warehouse area.

Seeing the neat rows of canned goods in the warehouse, she collected them all into her storage space in one go.

She rembered eating cans from this factory ever since she was a child.

Besides the canned fish and at, they were most famous for their canned fruit.

’The canned fruit doesn’t seem to be in this area...’

After taking out the factory map she had just photographed and examining it closely,

Nina Jacobs realized that the canning factory was divided into two areas.

The canned fruit was in a different warehouse.

anwhile, the sounds of zombie-killing outside seed to be winding down.

To avoid being discovered, Nina Jacobs drank a bottle of "Invisibility Potion."

"The rest of you don’t need to follow us inside."

Outside the factory, a young woman spoke to the group of people behind her who were still digging out Crystal Cores.

"Miss Palr, what do you an by that?"

Sweat had soaked through the man’s uniform, and he looked exhausted.

As did the group of people behind him.

They were all from the Falken Base rescue team, and they were also here to complete a supply-gathering mission.

"Captain Miller, didn’t the base commander tell you before we left?

You’re only here to protect . You can forget about touching any of the supplies here."

Irene Palr blocked Percival Miller’s path, her expression arrogant.

’Sounds like they’re starting an argunt?’

Nina Jacobs listened to the commotion outside while continuing to collect the canned fruit.

’This is good. The longer they argue, the more ti I’ll have.’
