Daniel Hale poured Heath Chandler a cup of tea.

Heath Chandler picked up his tea and looked at the lively scene in the living room.

The lady of the house was laughing and chatting by the sink, washing sothing.

Leo Hale had spread a map out on the table, and several people were gathered around it, discussing their ideas.

The scene suddenly filled him with imnse envy.

"You’re right, it’s not too late,"

"Perhaps staying at City D Base would be the most aningful thing to do."

Daniel Hale wasn’t very familiar with Heath Chandler, so he asked in surprise,

"Mr. Chandler, were you planning to go sowhere else?"

Heath Chandler nodded. "Headquarters wants to investigate the situation in Keldorn. I haven’t agreed yet. I wanted to co here first to see Ian and his mother."

When Ian was missing before, he had spent nearly three months frantically searching for him in and around the city where he went to school.

Only later did he learn that Ian was safe in City D.

But at the ti, he still had an unfinished mission. He also knew Justin Lawson and Myra Lawson were in City D, so he wasn’t overly worried about his son’s safety. He finished the task at hand before finally making his way here.

"Oh, I see. Keldorn... didn’t they say a base has already been established over there?"

Daniel Hale rembered hearing news about that place.

Heath Chandler nodded. "There is a base, but Headquarters currently knows nothing about the situation there."

"There hasn’t been any news from them for a month now."

That was why Heath Chandler had been struggling for the past few days over whether to go or stay.

She had overheard their entire conversation.

She didn’t know if this was a good or a bad thing, but if Heath Chandler stayed at City D Base, it would at least be good for Ian.

What worried Nina, however, was why Myra Lawson hadn’t returned after so many days.

Logically, she was only escorting Samson Thorne back. Calculating the ti, she should have been back by now.

「This day.」

After Nina Jacobs returned from outside with the others, she was, as expected, asked to co in for questioning by people from the Enforcent Bureau.

It was still about Nerissa Sutton.

"This is ridiculous. We discovered her together, so why are they only questioning Nina?"

"I’ll go in her place."

Leo Hale said.

He and Nina Jacobs didn’t recognize the people who had co from the Enforcent Bureau.

If Sherry Renner were with them, she wouldn’t be worried.

The woman beside him replied, "It should be quick, but we’re not sure."

Before leaving, she walked over to Leo Hale and whispered, "If I’m not back in two hours, go find Adrian Shaw."

Leo Hale nodded.

Watching Nina’s departing figure, he also said to Vera Coleman,

"Wayne Warner is with her. When my dad gets back, I’ll have him ask around."

The man offered no apology for being an hour late.

He spread a piece of paper and a pen on the desk in front of him, then took out two photographs.

Just as he was about to start questioning her, he heard Nina Jacobs ask, "Aren’t you going to introduce the person next to you?"

"If I recall correctly, she’s not from your Enforcent Bureau."

Dawn Donovan, who had been standing to the side and observing Nina Jacobs,

smiled and sat down upon hearing Nina’s words.

"Don’t mind , Miss Jacobs. I won’t be asking any questions today. I’m just here as a witness to provide a clue."
