"What?! You too...?"

Wyatt Jacobs completely lost his composure after hearing that Ian Chandler possessed a large spatial ability.

"Does this an everyone can awaken a Special Ability?

What about yours, Wyatt Jacobs?"

Nina Jacobs blinked, feigning ignorance as she asked.

"I...

I don’t have one."

Wyatt Jacobs lowered his head.

"Oh? You really don’t have one? That’s such a sha," Ian Chandler said with regret.

"Nina, Nina, did you just see that?

They’re everywhere outside, it’s terrifying..."

As Chelsea Walsh spoke, tears started streaming down her face uncontrollably.

She had just witnessed a scene of cannibalism right outside the courtyard gate.

The alarms in City D were blaring nonstop, a testant to the severity of the situation.

But with the internet and cell service completely down, they had no idea what was happening outside.

"What else could it be? The world’s in chaos. It’s the apocalypse."

Wyatt Jacobs, however, had an air of indifference.

"It’s chaos... utter chaos..."

Daniel Hale stumbled down the stairs.

"How is it?" Vera Coleman asked quickly.

Daniel Hale had just gone up to the roof.

Seeing his deathly pale face now, Vera Coleman felt a sense of foreboding.

"It’s even worse than we imagined.

I think you should all go see for yourselves."

Daniel Hale didn’t know how to describe it.

A scene so horrific could perhaps only be understood by witnessing it firsthand.

Nina Jacobs went up to the top floor as well.

Vera Coleman used to keep this area immaculate, with a spot for tea, a beautiful glass greenhouse, and an awning.

But after several days of acid rain, everything up here had been corroded.

However, for Leo Hale and the others, the scene unfolding on the street below was far more terrifying.

Night had fallen.

Screams rose and fell under the cover of darkness. Soone would be crying and shouting for help one mont, only to be pounced on by an infected the next.

A person tried to pull a child into a car, only to have their throat torn out by the child, who had already been infected.

Soone tripped, and several infected sward to devour them.

A resident in a nearby house opened their door, but a swarm of infected poured into the ho.

Screams tore through the night sky, one after another.

"Wh-what do we do?

How did it co to this?

Didn’t the acid rain stop?"

Vera Coleman felt her stomach tighten in waves, likely from the terror of the scenes below.

Nina Jacobs steadied her.

"Uncle Hale, take my mom downstairs."

She was worried the sight was too much for Vera Coleman, but her mother shook her head:

"I’m fine. I’ll be okay in a mont."

"Look over there, what are they doing?"

Ian Chandler was the first to spot people in front of a house several buildings away, apparently killing the infected.

Those few individuals stood in stark contrast to the panicking crowds.

Nina Jacobs looked in that direction, a cold smile touching her lips.

Liam Grant had awakened his Fire Elent Superpower, just as she’d expected.

Killing zombies alongside him were Simon Abbott and Renee Strong.

The three of them coordinated smoothly, their movents in killing the zombies appearing remarkably practiced.

"They’re... so brave."

Chelsea Walsh watched intently, her eyes wide.

"So Special Abilities can be used to kill zombies, too?"

Leo Hale seed to have an epiphany, excitent gradually replacing his fear.

As if they had seen saviors, many of the fleeing people began running in that direction.

Nina Jacobs also activated her "Five Senses Enhancent."

"Tch, what a pain. Can’t they kill them themselves?"

Renee Strong cleanly plunged her long knife into a zombie’s eye socket.

These were all just slow-moving, Basic Level zombies. Although she was a Healing Elent Superpower User, she had been forced by Nina Jacobs to kill zombies in their past life, so this level of intensity was nothing to her.

anwhile, Liam Grant’s parents, watching from upstairs, were screaming for them to co back inside.

"Renee, you go inside first. Don’t scare my parents," Liam Grant said helplessly.

Renee Strong nodded and retreated back inside the door, long knife in hand.

Liam Grant tried to conjure a Fireball, but only a small fla appeared in his hand.

When the fla hit the nearest zombie, it only made the creature stagger slightly.

"Why a Fire Elent Superpower? It’s so much weaker."

Liam Grant’s brow was tightly furrowed.

He had awakened a Superpower, which should have been a good thing, but it wasn’t the Thunder Elent Superpower he had excelled with in his past life.

’How is this newly awakened Fire Elent Superpower even weaker than in my past life?’

"At least you’re a Superpower User now."

Simon Abbott was at his side, effortlessly killing one zombie after another.

He had his own doubts, though. ’Liam Grant didn’t awaken his Thunder Elent Superpower. Will he awaken it later on?’

"They don’t seem scared at all."

From a distance, Ian Chandler watched with confusion.

He also noticed that the trio wasted no movents when killing the infected.

They only attacked the head.

Fast, precise, and ruthless.

When people fell and begged them for help, they simply ignored them.

"If they’re not saving people, what on earth are they doing this for?"

A cold glint flashed in Ian Chandler’s eyes, hidden in the darkness.

"Yes, what are they doing it for, I wonder?"

Nina Jacobs could see and hear everything most clearly.

’In her past life, she had encouraged them to kill more zombies to get stronger. It seems they rembered that part well.’

"Maybe they’re just showing off?"

Leo Hale had noticed that Liam Grant, like Nina Jacobs, had awakened a Fire Elent Superpower.

’But he had a feeling Nina was definitely stronger.’

He rembered the state of Ben Stone and his mother’s bodies when they died.

He had always assud Nina had used so kind of lethal weapon, but just now, he suddenly realized it was very likely damage caused by her Fire Elent Superpower.

It was just that Nina never ntioned it, nor did she ever show it off in front of others.

By now, a small group of survivors had gathered around Liam Grant and Simon Abbott.

Seeing that a large number of zombies were being drawn to the area, the two of them decisively retreated into the villa.

Instantly, a chorus of screams erupted outside the door.

"And I thought they were the good guys."

Chelsea Walsh couldn’t bear to watch the scene any longer.

There was nothing more despairing than seeing a glimr of hope, only to have it shattered. Those people didn’t even have ti to escape.

’I really want to go down and save them, but I know if I actually ca face-to-face with a zombie, I’d just piss my pants in fear.’

"Do you guys hear sothing?" Nina Jacobs asked suddenly.

"What sound?"

Vera Coleman grew uneasy again.

If they listened carefully, they could indeed hear a muffled roaring sound.

And the sound was coming from inside their house.

"Don’t tell an infected climbed in?"

Daniel Hale was montarily flustered.

"No, it’s George Crawford and the others."

Ian Chandler pointed toward the backyard downstairs.

The sound was coming from there.

"All of them... are infected?

They didn’t go outside, so they couldn’t have been bitten.

It must be because of the acid rain."

Leo Hale analyzed the situation, but the problem now was that there were five new zombies in the house.

"Isn’t that perfect?

We can get so practice, just like them."

Nina Jacobs’s words seed to open up a whole new world for Leo Hale.

"You an... kill them?"

Chelsea Walsh looked at the electric sparks in her hand.

’Can this stuff, which is basically static electricity, really kill such vicious zombies?’

"I want to give it a try," Leo Hale said.
