"Captain Pearson, you’re being too polite.

If you suffer any serious injuries in the future, Renee will still do her best to treat you, so there’s no need for thanks today."

Liam Grant left the infirmary, dragging a reluctant Renee Strong with him.

"Is he cursing ?"

Chester Pearson asked, stunned.

"That’s right."

Nina Jacobs hadn’t expected Chester Pearson to speak up for her, but she felt a bit of sympathy for him at that mont.

Liam Grant knew Chester Pearson’s fate, just as she did.

That’s why he didn’t take Captain Pearson seriously at all.

"That guy, Grant, got promoted to detachnt commander today.

I heard from Justin Lawson that he usually performs well and his Superpower is quite exceptional.

But if you ask , he’s no good."

Daniel Hale was on speaking terms with Justin Lawson, so he knew a few things about what went on in the shelter.

"No wonder. His Superpower is certainly impressive.

What can I do? I’m not talented enough and have no one to teach .

Maybe this old-tir is about to be surpassed by the new generation!

Sigh!"

Chester Pearson had a helpless, bitter look on his face. Although he seed to be joking, Nina Jacobs could see his envy.

’Liam Grant’s Superpower only seed so impressive because most Superpower Users didn’t know how to use their abilities yet.’

’He just had the advantage of information and practice.’

"It’s too late today. You can co find in the next couple of days if you have ti."

As soon as Nina Jacobs said this, Chester Pearson’s eyes lit up.

’Nina Jacobs is really willing to teach ?’

"By the way, about that Forrest Walsh you were looking for earlier..."

"I might have so news about him,"

Chester Pearson said.

Chelsea Walsh and Leo Hale had been waiting near the shelter all day.

But Forrest Walsh still hadn’t returned.

When they heard Captain Pearson had news, their first reaction was disbelief.

"Among the survivors we rescued today, a few university students said they were saved by mbers of the third detachnt."

Chester Pearson had been invited to their residence, and both Leo Hale and Chelsea Walsh had rushed back.

Forrest Walsh was the captain of the third detachnt.

But so far, not a single person from the third detachnt had returned.

"Where did they see them?

Did anyone see my brother?"

Chelsea Walsh asked imdiately.

"At Ardmore University. Soone rescued those students and claid to be from the third detachnt.

But after they got out, they lost track of the rescuers."

"They said one of the rescue team mbers had a shoulder injury. Maybe that was your brother."

This was all Chester Pearson knew.

He wanted to say that it was unlikely the third detachnt would make it back.

But he couldn’t bring himself to say it.

The number of zombies in the Ardmore University area was enormous. In his opinion, the fact that Forrest Walsh had managed to lead the third detachnt in there and even rescue so people was already pushing their limits.

"I have to find my brother."

Tears welled up in Chelsea Walsh’s eyes.

"But didn’t Captain Pearson say that area is extrely dangerous?

Maybe we can think of another way."

Daniel Hale strongly disapproved of Chelsea Walsh’s decision.

The entire campus was crawling with zombies. Anyone who went would be committing suicide.

"What other way is there?

I believe Forrest is still alive. He wouldn’t die that easily,"

Leo Hale said.

In his heart, Forrest Walsh was like an omnipotent big brother. He had never imagined he could die.

"Our mission route tomorrow actually passes by that area."

Chester Pearson looked at the group, his aning obvious.

Perhaps going with his rescue team would be safer.

"Can you take us with you?

We can kill zombies too!"

Chelsea Walsh said imdiately upon hearing this.

"If we go with Captain Pearson’s team, it would indeed be much safer."

Daniel Hale could see that his son was determined to find Forrest Walsh.

Since they were going anyway, it was better to go with Chester Pearson.

"I just wonder if it would be convenient for Captain Pearson?"

Daniel Hale asked.

"It’s convenient for . What about you, Nina Jacobs?"

Chester Pearson looked at Nina Jacobs, his charming eyes full of craftiness.

Now that he’d said that, Leo Hale and Chelsea Walsh also looked at Nina Jacobs with eyes full of expectation.

"Fine. But I’m keeping what’s inside the heads of any zombies I kill."

Nina Jacobs had already been planning to find ti to collect Crystal Cores anyway.

"You an the Crystal Cores, right?"

Chester Pearson laughed.

"So that’s what they’re called. Crystal Cores."

Nina Jacobs pretended not to know.

"Soone announced it long before we got back."

Chester Pearson took out a Crystal Core and examined it closely.

"A guy nad Simon Abbott was the one who said it.

I think he’s with Liam Grant."

Leo Hale didn’t know who Simon Abbott was, but he was a little concerned after learning he knew Liam Grant.

"A lot of people have already started collecting Crystal Cores.

Is that what you’re after too?"

Chester Pearson asked.

"You could say that. But I’m just interested in their value.

They might sell for a high price in the future."

Nina Jacobs had already guessed that Simon Abbott was also in this shelter.

She just wasn’t sure what Simon Abbott’s purpose was in making this information public.

’Was it to show off in front of Justin Lawson?’

After Chester Pearson left, Nina Jacobs was planning to go back to her room and rest, but unexpectedly, there was another situation at the infirmary.

"He refuses to rest and keeps looking for sothing.

I was wondering if he’s looking for you?"

The female dical staffer from before said with a helpless expression.

Wayne Warner’s injuries were strange. He had bullet wounds in his back and head, but none of them had hit a vital spot.

Most importantly, the wounds around the bullets were already close to healing.

They had finally managed to remove all the bullets, but as soon as the treatnt was over, he started searching all over the infirmary for sothing.

And now that Nina Jacobs had arrived, Wayne Warner imdiately stood by her side.

"This young man’s body is recovering quite well.

Soone must have treated his wounds before."

Inside the infirmary, there was also a middle-aged woman.

The woman looked sowhat familiar, but Nina Jacobs couldn’t recall where she had seen her.

"Is there any hope for him to recover completely?"

Nina Jacobs was referring to Wayne Warner’s mind.

"That’s hard to say.

After all, there are many things in dicine that don’t follow any rules.

My na is Juliana Sinclair.

If anything happens with him in the future, just bring him to anyti,"

the middle-aged female doctor said with a smile.

"Okay, thank you, Doctor Sinclair."

Nina Jacobs thought for a mont, then took a box of crackers out of her backpack, intending to offer it as paynt for the consultation.

"There’s no need for that. I heard you were the one who rescued him from the outside, right?

It wouldn’t be right for to take anything from you.

Besides, soone saved my life once, too.

It’s only right that I help others now."

Seeing that Nina Jacobs didn’t seem to understand what she ant, Juliana Sinclair smiled and explained:

"During the acid rain, I was trapped in a pharmacy.

A kind person passing by gave a raincoat.

If it weren’t for that raincoat, I would have drowned in that pharmacy for sure.

And I wouldn’t have been able to rush ho in ti to save my daughter.

Oh, and my daughter even awakened a Healing Elent Superpower."

Juliana Sinclair said with emotion.

"Mom, stop telling everyone about this.

My Healing Elent Superpower isn’t even as useful as your dical skills,"

the female dical staffer at her side said.

Only then did Nina Jacobs realize that this female dical staffer was Juliana Sinclair’s daughter.

But she hadn’t expected such a coincidence.

No wonder she thought Juliana Sinclair looked familiar.

Back then, she had been wearing a full-body acid-proof suit when she passed a pharmacy. The woman who had wanted to pay for food was Juliana Sinclair.
