After Gu Ci finished reading the information, he was silent for a moment.
After a while, Gu Ci sneered with a cold look in his eyes.
He sneered as he muttered to himself, “I see, I see. I was wondering how Mo Rao could forgive Fu Ying so easily. So that’s how it is!”
With a scheming person like him following Mo Rao, it was no wonder that Mo Rao chose Fu Ying.
However… how could Mo Rao not even attempt to listen to his explanation? Didn’t he do those things for Mo Rao’s sake? Didn’t Mo Rao benefit from them?

The Gu Corporation was in dire straits and people were eyeing them covetously.
There was a reason they found out that Fu Ying was the culprit so quickly this time.
Jack looked up at Gu Ci carefully. Fu Ying probably did this… to warn President Gu to stay away from Mo Rao.
Even with this thought in mind, Jack didn’t show it on his face and still looked respectful.
After a while, Jack heard Gu Ci ask in a hoarse voice, “Where is Mo Rao now?”
“She’s filming in City Z.”
“Buy me a plane ticket to City Z immediately. I want to ask her personally!” He didn’t believe that Mo Rao didn’t care about him at all!

After Jack left the office, Gu Ci took out his phone and clicked on his chat box with Mo Rao.
The last time he and Mo Rao chatted was when Mo Rao had just participated in “Let’s Set Off Together!” After that, although they chatted a few times, the conversation didn’t go anywhere.

She read the messages in her chat with Gu Ci for a while. Thinking of how Gu Ci had taken care of her and Mo Yuan, she replied to him.
“Okay, send me a message when you get here.”
The next evening, when Mo Rao received a message from Gu Ci, she didn’t tell Fu Ying and walked out of the hotel alone.
However, she didn’t see Fu Ying appear behind her not long after she left.
When Mo Rao arrived at the underground parking lot, she saw Gu Ci leaning against the car door. She paused for a moment.
Gu Ci heard Mo Rao and looked up in her direction.
“I didn’t expect you to really e and see me,” Gu Ci said, but his tone was meaningful.
Mo Rao’s eyes flickered as she said, “No matter what, you weren’t pretending when you helped me and my brother back then.”
Back then, when they were overseas, Gu Ci had indeed helped them resolve their predicament.
Gu Ci smiled. It was the same gentle smile he always showed in front of Mo Rao.
He straightened and took a few steps in Mo Rao’s direction. “You already know.”
“Yes, otherwise, you wouldn’t be in such a hurry to find me.”
Hearing this, Gu Ci chuckled. “So you chose Fu Ying because of this? But didn’t Qu Ru and the others deserve it?”
“It’s not because of Qu Ru and the others. When you approached my brother and me with ulterior motives, you should have known that it was impossible for us to be together. I won’t allow someone who wants to hurt my brother to be by my side.”
Not to mention that they had such an intimate relationship.
“But I didn’t do those things!” Gu Ci said unwillingly. “Even so, I really started to like you later. You still can’t accept it?”
Mo Rao looked straight at Gu Ci and shook her head at him.
