After saying this, she gave Ding Qianqian a compelling look.
Feeling guilty, Ding Qianqian quickly looked away and said, “Understood.”
After getting out of the car, Xia Chuyi told the police to let Ding Qianqian go.
“Follow her, but not too closely; she’ll probably turn herself into the Police Station on her own soon.”
“Turn herself in?” The officers looked at each other.
Xia Chuyi nodded without offering further explanation and simply said, “Thanks for your assistance.”
Once she had delegated her orders, Xia Chuyi first visited the hospital to see her cousin, then returned to “Youwei.”
When she arrived at “Youwei,” to her surprise, Xia Chengzong was not there.
Perhaps her brother had so business to attend to; she didn’t think much of it.
Not long after, Li Zi suddenly arrived, out of breath, to give her startling news, “Little sister-in-law, your brother has committed murder!”
Xia Chuyi’s heart skipped a beat as she anxiously asked, “What happened?”
