Now reading: Chapter 390: The Sound of a Slap in the Face from After Marrying the Officer, a Romance novel by Demon Painting.

In the air, it seed as if the sound of slaps to the face could be heard.

"Impossible!" Chi Yue exclaid with eyes wide open.

Jiang Shuqin sneered, "What’s impossible? Chuyi’s cooking skills are great, her studies are excellent, she runs her business by her abilities and goes to university by her knowledge."

"She could totally be called a role model for the independent young won of our ti!"

"Chuyi, I’m proud of you!"

Jiang Shuqin, imitating the gesture, gave Xia Chuyi a thumbs-up.

Xia Chuyi: ...

"I don’t buy it! Where did she get the money to open a shop? Could it be from a man..." Her words were abruptly cut off by Xia Chuyi, who interrupted with a cold face.

"Chi Yue!" Xia Chuyi looked at her coldly, "Trouble starts from the mouth. You need to be responsible for what you’ve said."

Chi Yue was startled by her formidable presence, gritted her teeth, and managed to retort, "Even if you are ’Youwei’s’ owner, how does that matter? My money definitely disappeared while in your hands!"

This was pinning the bla onto Xia Chuyi for stealing her money.

Xia Chuyi laughed lightly and said, "Qianqian, go out and see where Panpan and the others are, and bring back Xiao Kong."

As soon as Qian Qianqian heard this, she cheerfully agreed, "Sure!"

The people present, including the buddies from Room 201, had no idea what Xia Chuyi was up to.

The rest of them were dumbfounded by one plot twist after another.

Soon, Qian Qianqian returned with Uncle Quan, who had been out walking the ’child’.

"Xiao Kong, co here." Xia Chuyi picked up Uncle Quan, who looked halfway between awake and asleep, and let him sniff Chi Yue’s wallet.

She said with a calm face, "Go find the missing item inside."

Uncle Quan: ...Encounter with the non-human!

Xia Chuyi gently stroked Uncle Quan’s head and said, "Good boy, listen and there will be an extra al for you later."

No sooner had she finished speaking than Uncle Quan bounced off her and started bobbing his head left and right before circling Chi Yue and then sprinting outside.

"Follow Xiao Kong and you’ll find your ’lost’ money," Xia Chuyi said calmly.

"What are you talking about?" Chi Yue was startled by her words, "Impossible!"

Xia Chuyi shrugged and replied, "Whether it’s possible or not, you’ll know if you follow."

"Oh right, classmates, follow along and let’s witness this together."

People looked at each other.

"Co on, let’s all follow and see whose money got ’taken’!" Jiang Shuqin led the way.

The buddies from Room 201 agreed.

Eventually, everyone had no choice but to follow.

Upon exiting the store, Uncle Quan picked a route after swaying its head to the left and right and went straight for it.

Everyone hurriedly followed.

Soon, Uncle Quan darted into the gates of Kyoto University and ran straight towards the won’s dormitories of the outer courtyard.

Chi Yue felt apprehensive.

Upon reaching the outer courtyard, Uncle Quan barged straight into Room 202’s dormitory and started barking at a wooden cabinet under one of the beds.

"How dare this dog barge into others’ dorms? Get out, now!" Chi Yue ordered in a fierce yet flustered manner.

With no intention of opening the cabinet.

Uncle Quan looked around, saw no one moving and completely lost patience.

"Woof!" Uncle Quan bit off a chunk from the corner of the wooden cabinet.

"Woof woof!" In a flash, he carved out a hole big enough for him to pass through, then swiftly dived in, shoveling to the left and right, and erged with a small purse in his mouth, tossing it in front of Xia Chuyi.

Afterward, he collapsed on the ground, emanating an aura of being a dog exhausted from the effort, in need of a hug.
