Hearing Xia Chuyi’s words, Ou Jun imdiately shook his head and purposefully straightened his face, "That won’t do, this sister is soone I intend to take under my wing!"

Seeing a look of refusal about to form, Ou Jun imdiately said, "Alright, let’s just decide on that."

"It’s ," ca a familiar deep and resonant male voice.
"Uncle Liberation Army?" Xia Chuyi blurted out.
The person on the other end of the phone: "..."
Xia Chuyi quickly coughed and corrected herself, "Brother Shi Qian, is that you?"
From the other end of the line.
"Yes." The man’s voice ca through.
Xia Chuyi imdiately broke into a smile, excitedly saying, "Brother Shi Qian, it really is you?!"
"Has your training mission over there finished? Was it tough?"
Because the two had been in correspondence, Xia Chuyi knew that Huo Shiqian should have been leading troops in training these past couple of days—of course, if Huo Shiqian hadn’t been keeping anything from her in his heart.
After all, certain information belonged to military secrets, which Huo Shiqian wouldn’t tell her.
Regardless, receiving a call from Huo Shiqian all of a sudden was a pleasant surprise for Xia Chuyi.
And her surprise, without any concealnt, transmitted clearly and completely through the waves to the other end of the line.
In a place in the Southwest which Xia Chuyi could not see, a certain officer, who had previously been keeping a stern face, couldn’t help but let his lips curl up ever so slightly, his eyes filled with tenderness.
"Yes, it’s ."
"It’s finished."
"It wasn’t tough."
Huo Shiqian replied to Xia Chuyi’s questions one by one, in a straightforward manner.
His reaction made Xia Chuyi shake her head and pout.
Uncle Liberation Army sure knew how to have a conversation!
Nevermind, she couldn’t be bothered to nitpick with him... After all, when her Uncle Liberation Army did speak, he could make her blush and get her heart racing, but when he was straightforward, he was also extrely endearing in his blunt way.
"Brother Shi Qian, what made you think to call today?" Xia Chuyi curiously asked Huo Shiqian.
