Chapter 1176 Accompanying Gu Dongxing to Buy a House (Part 2)
Le Shui was so pleased that his eyes squinted with joy: "As long as it helps the Eldest Lady." He even smugly glanced at Le De and Le Shan.
His power wasn’t as strong as Le De and Le Shan, and this was the first ti he received praise.
Seeing Le Shui showing off, Le De and Le Shan both glared at him: This guy really gets cocky whenever he succeeds!
A group of them began to go house hunting.
The first house they visited was found by Le De, located in Qiuyi Alley, just a street away from Yang’an Alley.
Le De first stepped up and knocked on the door. An elderly woman opened a crack in the courtyard gate and peeked through with a wary look, eyes brimming through her loose eyelids, scrutinizing the three people in front of her (Le Shan was invisible), and asked, "What do you want?"
Le De asked, "Old lady, I heard you’re planning to transfer this courtyard?"
The wary expression in the elderly woman’s eyes lessened a bit, and she opened the door: "Co in and talk."
Once the three entered the courtyard, she quickly closed the door again and then eyed them cautiously from behind.
At this ti, ngyu and the others naturally examined the courtyard.
Though it was just a street away, this courtyard was much better than ngyu’s courtyard in Yang’an Alley.
On the south side was a gatehouse plus a back house, separated by a wall between the front and back yards, with the front yard being very small, only about twenty square ters.
The main courtyard to the north had three main rooms, a central hall, and one room with a side room on each side. The east side had three side rooms on each side, totaling fourteen rooms in the entire courtyard.
There was a toilet in the northwest corner and a kitchen in the northeast corner. The kitchen was more than ten square ters, enough for the family to have als there usually, and only when guests arrived would they move the cooked food to the living room to eat.
Next to the side room in the northeast corner, there was a small door leading to a small vegetable garden in the backyard, satisfying the desire to grow vegetables.
What impressed ngyu greatly was that the buildings in this courtyard were relatively high, with walls over three ters tall, using blue bricks and gray tiles, red doors and green windows, and the materials used were much better than those in Yang’an Alley.
The courtyard was paved with blue-stone paths, and several flower beds were sectioned off, though overgrown with weeds.
Additionally, there was a water well situated in the southwest corner.
ngyu turned around and t the scrutinizing gaze of the elderly woman.
The elder woman looked at the strong man and then at the god-like handso man before finally fixing her gaze on ngyu.
"Old lady, do you intend to—"
"This courtyard is for sale only, not for rent," the elderly woman said, eyeing ngyu cautiously.
ngyu nodded: "We’re not planning to rent; we’re looking to buy. How do you plan to sell it?"
"Do you really want to buy it?"
ngyu nodded: "If the price is right, we’ll buy it."
The elder woman’s expression finally relaxed: "If you sincerely want to buy it, just give eighty thousand."
ngyu thought about the Yang’an Alley courtyard, a triple courtyard with a small back garden, which cost three thousand. And that was because Ma Dapang wanted to buy it cheaply, and he was eager to sell, only asking for three thousand from her.
This courtyard is a genuine two-yard Siheyuan, larger than her courtyard in Yang’an Alley, and asking for eighty thousand is really not expensive. In future decades, such a courtyard would be worth tens of millions.
"Okay, eighty thousand it is. When shall we sign the contract and handle the paperwork?"
This ti, the elderly woman was sowhat surprised.
"Are you sure you want to buy it?"
Not even bargaining? Not even discussing it with those two n?
Although the strong one looks like a bodyguard, the other young man clearly seems to be her man.
