On top of that, the beef in the space all carried a very faint Spiritual Energy, and was much tastier than beef outside.
ngyu marinated the beef, stead it, roasted it dry, and made it into finger-thick strips of jerky. It slled so good she couldn’t help stuffing herself first, then sealed it into small one-jin bags.
Only, when she finished packing and was about to mail so to Gu Dongxing and Cheng Jiuhe, she suddenly thought: Why bother mailing it? Wouldn’t it be better to deliver it directly?
So she put the homade jerky back into the ring.
Anyway, Hai Xue and Gu Minxing had gone with Gu Ming to the compound and weren’t in the courtyard, so ngyu could leave whenever she wanted. But since it was close to New Year, she figured she might as well buy so New Year goods to bring over.

Thinking that she had beef jerky, a huge variety of fruits, and her own fruit wine, all of which could be given as gifts, she simply bought so paper-wrapped candies that didn’t require tickets, then stepped onto the Five Elents Fan and slipped into the sky.
Three hours later, ngyu reached the outskirts of Gu Dongxing’s factory. A sweep of her Divine Sense told her Gu Dongxing wasn’t in the factory offices.
She didn’t go into the City South Grand Courtyard, but instead turned a corner and headed toward Xiangyang County.
She didn’t see Jing Cuizhu in the City South Grand Courtyard, but she did find Ah Xin from the City North Courtyard—only there were several more kids than before.
ngyu thought for a mont, then took ten one-jin bags of beef jerky out of the ring, over two hundred jin of various fruits she had grown herself, plus a dozen jin of paper-wrapped candies. It was quite a generous spread.
"Ah Xin, co out and get your New Year goods!"
As ngyu’s voice fell, a big group of children rushed out, shouting "Teacher."
"Teacher, teacher, teacher, Teacher’s here!"
"Teacher brought us New Year goods!"
"Teacher, what New Year goods did you bring us?"
"Wow, Teacher brought so many New Year goods!"
The children rushed out and all started carrying the New Year goods. So of them hugged ngyu’s legs. ngyu pinched this one’s cheek, patted that one’s head, thoroughly delighted.
Back then, ngyu had taught the children literacy classes and later so basic martial arts, so everyone called her Teacher.
Ah Xin, however, just looked at ngyu without moving, tears glimring in his eyes.
